Blow N Dry Lounge

I had a very bad experience here. The employees were nice but at the same time a bit careless, dismissive, and inconsiderate. I called in advance to make sure my stylist, Bianca, was ready for me since I was in a time crunch and didn’t want to wait. I was told she was ready and waiting for me but when I arrived she was busy getting her hair done by another stylist. I was barely acknowledged.
Bianca leisurely started 10 minutes late after her own blowout was done. The biggest problem was that I asked for a good rinse so that the blowout would last as well as volume. I emphasized those two. Instead, I ended up with the worst and flattest blowout I’ve ever had — and my hair looked greasy and was sticking to my head. She didn’t know how to follow the simplest of directions. She even put a finishing conditioning thing on the TOP of my head — contributing to the greasy look. It was the biggest waste of time and money I’ve ever spent. I will not be coming back.
Trust me — you’re better off going to Paul Mitchell and having a STUDENT do your hair.

I really really want this place to get it together because I do like coming here. They are super friendly and do great hair! Unfortunately with it’s appointment problems I can’t take the risk. They have a serious problem with appointments/​scheduling inconsistency. I am a career gal and often times will come in at the early appointment before work. Sometimes I have a huge presentation or big client meeting. I walk in all dressed and hair in a bun. I can no longer risk it with this place. Several times I have been an early appointment only to learn that the stylist is on her way? Then 20 minutes passed my appointment time I am still sitting there and no stylist. I asked what on earth is going on and they said that maybe someone forgot to tell the stylist she had an early appointment. So I said what am I supposed to do? Simple operational fix if management will take the time to address the issue. It’s not a one off problem since it’s a recurring thing. It’s happened to me several times and I am sure others. Hope they fix it. There’s other blow dry places popping up all over town so there’s a need to fix this if they want to keep client base.

Appointments are a joke at this place. I rushed over to make sure I was there on time and all the stylists were working on someone else. After waiting for 20 min the lady tells me it should be another 15 min. That’s 35 min after my appointment. It ALWAYS happens my 1 hour blow dry ends up being a two hour blow out with the wait. I just left this time because appointments are made for a reason — I have things to do. Never coming here again.

Everyone is in titled to their opinion. Well heres mines. The stylist try to please everyone. They are just awesome. This salon its self is awesome because they really do try their best to please everyone. Even for ignorant people. They have alot of patients. They all are friendly people n make u feel like your important. Even with rudeness. This salon is just simply amazing!!! N i love all the styist here

Some stylist are awesome and worth it, but one thing I hate about this place is their tardiness. I come often and 90% of the time they are running super behind. What is the purpose of appointments when you are running 30 or more minutes behind. So when you go, make sure you have enough time to wait.

I made a huge mistake, women everywhere will understand. I forgot to book an appointment at my salon for New Year’s Eve. I frantically called salon after salon but I was beginning to lose hope. My last hope was Blow N Dry Lounge in Pinecrest.
I almost jumped with enjoy when the receptionist told me someone just cancelled their appointment. I guess you can say that their lost was my gain. I rushed to the salon and was pleasantly surprised to have found it so easily.
I arrived for my appointment five minutes early and was seen right away. I wish I could give them ten stars because their service is exceptional. The stylist took her time to massage the product into my hair. Women can tell the difference between an «okay, I guess it looks decent» blow dry compared to a «I feel like Beyoncé» blow dry. My hair felt extremely clean and bouncy. I asked my stylist for soft waves and she delivered. I’m so happy I found this salon so close to my house. Definitely give them a try!

I’ve been looking for a decent blow dry spot for ages. I stumbled upon blow n dry and have been more than 4 times. Only one experience was less than great. Overall, a cute spot for a good quality wash and blow dry! My hair is curly and frizzy, Jennifer and Genesis were the best stylists I’ve sat with.

A Friend recommended me to take my daughter here for her birthday. Called to make an appointment and was put on hold for 11 minutes. Had to hang up and call back, finally made 2 appointments for 3 pm right before my daughters party which was fine because we were planning on heading there right after. I had requested for 2 side by side appointments and when I walked in, it was tiny and overcrowded. Nowhere to sit… Kids screaming and playing on their iPads, receptionist couldn’t handle the line of people waiting. after waiting about 15 minutes to be attended to. A hair stylist asks me if I have an appointment then seats my daughter and niece separately. Not what I asked but addressed to her that I wanted them side by side to enjoy this experience only to receive a sigh and attitude from this young hair stylist who seemed frustrated with me because she couldn’t seat them next to each other. My daughter and niece felt so uncomfortable that we left. Maybe this place may be good for others but for me, it was unpleasant right when I walked in. What a disappointment on my daughters birthday.

Let me start out by saying that my hair is my THING!!! I am extremely picky when it comes to having my hair done. And I’ve been searching for someone that would blow dry my hair correctly. I just had my hair done by Jennifer and I am ecstatic!!! She absolutely knows what she’s doing and is a lovely young lady. I will definitely be going back!!!

Great blow out and hair style by Ada. I have naturally curly hair — and I was in and out within 60 minutes. Ada was so gentle — I will definitely be coming back!

Era lunes Y necesitaba un blower rápido! Me encantó! No tenía appoinment y no me toco esperar! Friendly staff y Elsy fue la que me hizo el blower. Elsy es Excelente profesional, súper kind y rápida! Me quedo el pelo divino. vivo en brickell pero volvere. $ 35 por el blower.

I have come to this salon at least a handful of times and if I lived closer, I am sure I would be there much more often. This is not my first post (the other one was actually very positive) but I was so upset with my experience, I have to share. I had made this particular apt AT LEAST 3 weeks in advance, if not more. I told the woman who took my information that I wanted a lose pony tail with volume and maybe a simple braid — very Gossip Girl esque. This was for my engagement party so I asked her which stylist that she recommended and when she assigned me one, I confirmed that she knew how to do a braid and would be the best fit for my look. «Oh yes, she is awesome,» the woman assured me. I called AGAIN the day before my apt bc I never got a confirmation call so I figured I would confirm the apt myself. My apt was there and I asked the receptionist AGAIN if the woman that was scheduled to do my hair could replicate the look that I was going for. Once again, «Oh yes, she is awesome,» she assured me. So when I went to my apt, I sat down in the chair with a very quiet stylist. I showed her pictures at least a dozen times of what I was looking for. By the time she got to the pony tail and braid portion of the look — she had to call another stylist over because SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DO IT! That was the most frustrating part. I called so many times to ensure that my hair would be perfect for my special night and it was as if they did not even take my preferences seriously or care.
My hair didn’t really look like the picture, it was very tight and there was so much product that I couldn’t even loosen it up myself. It was stiff rather than messy. Obv I kept it for my party but it just was not how I imagined. It had tight curls and the pony went on the side rather than centered. It definitely wasn’t lose and messy like the photo. I still felt beautiful but was disappointed in the overall experience.
I wish I would have been better informed and felt like a valued client who just wanted to be scheduled properly. It wasn’t like I made the apt days before and there weren’t many stylists available… I called WEEKS PRIOR!
Please note, I will probably be back bc I do love the concept but I will use the stylist right next to the receptionist desk bc I have used her, trust her, and are always happy with her. Although the salon should be informed and be able to schedule properly, I guess that will be the clients job from now on.

The hours are perfect 7am to 9pm 7 days a week and a glass of Champagne you can’t go wrong. The massaging shampoo is simply amazing. I have used several of the stylist most are good for the most part. Highly recommend my FAV is Eartha!

I wasn’t pleased with my first visit. The stylist was sweet, but the job wasn’t well-​done. I filled out a questionnaire and they immediately contacted me to comp me for my visit. The second visit was better, although I still didn’t get that «fresh out of the salon» feeling that I normally have post-​blow dry. They are great for a weekly blowout, since they’re affordable and parking is easy. Unfortunately, I won’t be making them my go-​to spot. They just didn’t wow me.

Ok. Management needs to work on creating a better environment and services for all who enter this beauty bar.

Great place! I’ve gone here for a quick blow dry of my hair and for an up do and they never disappoint. I made an appointment and waited like 10 minutes because it is prom season and it was crowded. I got my make-​up done by Cary and she did an amazing job. Her make up is good quality an she have me a great smokey eye. I highly recommend this place and I definitely recommend doing your make-​up with Cary!

Finally! A place with wonderful people where you can be in and out within the hour Not only did I get a wonderful shampoo, I had Milagros as a stylist and she is as sweet as can be. The lounge is clean and very modern.

Sunday 7 am walk in. With 2 toddlers at home– this is nothing short of a little Miracle! Rachel– went into Beast mode and is Awesome!!! Now back to getting beautified.

Great service at an affordable price. In and out in one hour. They serve Champs and have great music. Staff is super pleasant. Can’t go wrong with any stylist.

Excellent hair service including makeup by Cary. I secured and appointment and was attended to as soon as I walked in. Other stylist took her time and was able to achieve the hairstyle I was aiming for. Will come back again :)

I appreciate the comment left by the company on my review. However, I would like to respond. I provided a phone number on the day I was receiving the service which was taken down by the receptionist. I know this was the correct number because she read it back. When I left a number with my message (the day I complained), if the receptionist wrote it down incorrectly, it could have been found in your records. You also had my e-​mail, which I received a thank you for letting your team «blow me away». There were different ways I could have been reached. I reached out desperately via Facebook after hours of not receiving a response.
Next, my friend, her makeup artist, and stylists in the area can testify that I voiced my concerns about the time crunch and wanted to leave and do my own makeup. Instead, I was urged to stay because the woman doing my makeup would only be another 5 minutes and will have me out quickly. That did not happen. And I would have gladly provided her with a picture of makeup via my cell phone if she had asked. However, since I had seen other clients get their makeup done (including my friend) and they did not provide pictures I did not think to do it. Nor do I understand why I have to provide a picture when it seems that was not necessary for anyone else. And I do appreciate the woman attempting to redo my makeup even though I told her it was not necessary. But after I cried (because I realized I would miss the event) I knew the makeup would run and I would wash it off anyway. If they fought me on not paying I would have gladly wiped the makeup off in front of everyone. The service you offer is professional makeup done within 30 minutes (time was stated by your staff, I asked since I knew I had to leave). I did not receive that service.
Finally, you are correct. A blow dry will not cause hair to break like that. However, curling someone’s thin hair at a high temperature and then leaving it on that hair for a long period of time WILL damage it. When I showered I used a shampoo, conditioner, and detangling spray (I did not comb through dry, hair sprayed hair as your comment assumes). My hair was so damaged by the iron that it in fact broke off as I brushed it. That much hair is not supposed to come off a person’s head whether or not they use a detangler. Also, when I brushed my hair I did not yank through it to hurt myself and pull out hair. I do not want to lose hair, nor do I really want to put myself through this stress of seeing a lot of my hair in a brush after every few strokes. I brushed my hair the same way I do after every shower and it broke off. Why was this day different from any other? Because not even 24 hours ago I had gotten my hair done at your salon.
Please, do not insinuate that it is my fault the makeup came out badly because I did not bring a picture and that my hair broke off because… I brushed it wrong? I don’t want to go back to the salon because I am embarrassed about the makeup and now my hair. And especially now, after all this back and forth, how am I supposed to go back to the salon without feeling awkward ?! I just wanted someone to call me back and give me a refund. That’s it. I want this whole nightmare to be over with. I didn’t think it would be dragged out on Unilocal. The products are a nice gesture, but honestly I do want a professional treatment from a salon I feel comfortable with. I was hoping to do that with my refunded money, but you do not want to cancel the transaction.
