The one in MANGO building is the WORST Starbucks ever! The employees are super slow when making coffee. Although there are usually 4 employees in there, only one is making coffee and she does not know how to multitask at all! And usually the queue is always long! The coffee tastes horrible! Caramel macchiato tastes like milk with sugar, no coffee flavor at all! And the croissant, they always overheat it and make it «rock as a stone»!!! This Starbucks has a lot of customers and I bet they make a lot profit! Can we just improve the quality a little bit???

This Starbucks is just OK. It’s the only one on campus and has far more options than Einsteins so pretty much unavoidable if you want anything even slightly fancy. However the quality is not especially spectacular — I pretty much stick to the refreshers because my coffee… Well it may not be coffee, it’s mostly just milk. And the service isn’t superb — you are most likely to have your drink forgotten or lost at least 1−2÷10 times. Or a drink will be made with completely not what you were hoping for. Plus this place is BUSY. You’ll be lucky if there isn’t a line of 20 people if you come here during the weekday, and weekends have odd hours that aren’t always accurate.

Convenient but the drinks aren’t made like regular Starbucks I feel as if they are watered down and the lines are very long.

This place makes me feel like I’m in Disney World — because the lines are endless. Then after you get pass the line and order, then you have to wait some more for your drink to be made. I have waited over 20 minutes for my drink! It will make you question your morals — be an a-hole and ask them if my drink is ready yet even though I can see that they’re tirelessly working their butts off or wait another 20 minutes??? However, today, miracle of all miracles there was NO line! I got to go straight to the cashier. I felt like I got an Express pass! Perks of taking summer classes!

A starbucks in the lobby of the library! What every university student dreams of! It is so great that I can get my school work done and still remain fully caffeinated at the same time. This location is pretty busy whenever I come. I guess that is to be expected since there is an entire university community trying to get their coffee fix. The staff seems to do a pretty good job keeping the line moving however.

Conveniently located on the first floor of FIU’s Green Library. It’s hard to miss considering it’s the first thing you see upon entering. The lines are always ridiculously long, however; this starbucks is much better than the one located in the mango building. The customer service is more attentive and faster here. The coffee also tastes better.

Worst starbucks ever. There are only 2 employees who actually understand how to make a cappuccino… Aka with foam, not a gallon of milk. These people need to be properly trained. It’s actually a miracle if my coffee is made correctly.

It’s a Starbuck in the library! Great location for when I need a quick fix or if I get hungry while studying. However because it’s in the library and everyone is thinking the same as me, it’s packed most of the time. The reason why I have it 3 stars is because it’s just like any corporate coffee place… No personality. Regardless they have what I need when I need it.

Over the last two years of FIU, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars at this Starbucks, mainly due to my coffee addiction and the lack of other choices on campus. This location resembles FIU. It is an efficient factory, with little to no personality. First things first, this isn’t a corporate Starbucks, meaning that the employees are not Starbucks employees, paid Starbucks wages, or given Starbucks benefits. This means you can use your Starbucks card, but can’t redeem rewards with it. This also is reflected in the level of service. On the positive side, the employees are cogs in an efficient coffee producing machine. Rarely is an employee not in motion brewing, cleaning, taking orders, etc. On the less positive side, there are only a few great employees here who are friendly, customer rather than task oriented, and who don’t have that bovine glazed eye expression that comes with performing the same task over and over, day after day. As long as you’re coming here for the coffee and not the ambiance or the customer service, you’ll leave satisfied. It would be nice if FIU sought out independent coffee houses to create spaces on campus which resemble coffee shops rather than human conveyor belts., but convincing administrators that students are people with unique interests seeking new experiences and personal development, not consumers with huge profit potential to be sold to the highest bidder, would require a whole new vision for FIU. Overall, this Starbucks will meet expectations, but also is a prime example of the creeping mediocrity that has characterized the franchise over the course of its expansion.

It’s as if FIU doesn’t have one of the best campuses I’ve ever been to, they had to add the best coffee shop in one of the biggest libraries. Touchè, FIU, touchè. You can not and will not miss this Starbucks, conveniently located on the first floor, 9 times out of 10, the line is to the door(I kid you not). There will even be a barista taking your order while you wait in line. They’re THAT busy. Be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. I don’t mind because how convenient is it that I get to enjoy starbucks and study for a Psychology final? Not anywhere else but FIU. These baristas work twice as hard, so make sure you give them a tip. They are trying to get through the line as fast as humanely possible so do not expect super friendly service. Everytime I come to the Green library I make it a point to get myself some iced coffee. Only hit I have is that they are not open earlier on Saturdays. Love my Starbucks and love my FIU. Happy studying.

For an entire semester I would arrive to class early and take up residency in a chair at this Starbucks. Different than most other locations, this is not a store with four walls. This Starbucks in located in the heart of the library’s bottom floor and is sectioned off with dividers. They do offer all of the usual Starbucks drinks and eats– they are pretty fast, and usually friendly. When the line gets really long, they even have someone who comes into the line and writes your order down to make things go faster. Faster does not mean that if your class is at 5 and you are there at 4:55 that you are going to make it even if you have class on the lower level of Green. You might have to wait over 10 minutes to get your order, even if it only took 30 seconds to place it. One thing to note is that sometimes it is easier to get a seat within the blocked off area than it is to get a seat in the actual library. The library its self has different types of seating available, but during the busier times of the day when classes are being held in the classrooms in the library, these seats are completely full– and this continues until way after 8pm. So purchasing an item is sometimes in your best interest if you really need to study. One problem with this set up though is it is not quiet. Do not be of the belief that because this is the library that you are going to get your study on in silence. If you are looking for that kind of opportunity, then you need to hop on the escalator and then on the elevator to the upper floors of the library. There are signs posted for how quiet each level is. It seems that the older the books, the quieter you need to be.

Coffeeeeee! Best thing in the world when your trying to stay awake after hours of studying. It’s conveniently on the first floor of the FIU green library. I would have given it 5 stars but the line is always ridiculously long!!! On the bright side you can take a quick 15 minute study break. Recently they started asking costumers that are waiting in line for the order. When you get to the cashier you pay and quickly get your life support… COFFEE!!!

It isssss finals week!!!#$%^%^!!! The moment every college student hopes for during the semester and dreads when it arrives! This Starbucks is located in the first floor of the Green Library at FIU. It is usually a bit crowded during finals week while college students load up on the caffeine! Anyone that knows me knows that I have a love affair with Starbucks’ Salted Caramel Sexual Hot Chocolate and this location makes it great! = 5 stars in my book.(I am way too easy to please these days)

This is your typical Starbucks joint, but it’s located inside the Green Memorial Library near the center of the FIU campus. Enter the north side of the main library complex, and you can’t miss it. I will not say anything about the offerings, because you know what to expect. Except most times orders take FOREVER. I waited something like 12 minutes for a simple iced coffee, because there were so many orders ahead of mine. It’s a thriving college coffee shop. Open ’til 11 p.m. So I suppose that’s all good. There is, unfortunately, meager seating for all these customers. Regular café seating is available in front of the counter, and high-tops and booths are located down the halls to both sides. These were very full when I visited, but I was able to snag a seat after hovering for a while. This is a meeting place/group study space, not a place to relax. But it’s a nice familiar café that does the trick – and is open late!
