Super busy but their sandwiches are pretty freaking good. I have tried their steak and eggs breakfast sub on wheat and it was delicious. I’ve also tried chicken cordon bleu and Italian sub with the works. This is the lunch spot to go to if you like sandwiches with fresh ingredients, you order and watch them make it. Not to pricey either, under $ 8 for large sub.

Get the chicken supreme. Actually, get any of their subs. All of them are delicious. Call in your order during lunch rush and avoid the giant line. In addition to subs they offer wraps, salads and soups. There’s also brownies and cookies and beverages. For us coffee addicts, get an espresso!

This is one of those hole in the wall places that I really enjoy. If you are in the downtown area and want a great sub for a low price, give this place a shot. The location isn’t the nicest but it is very clean. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. It tends to get a little packed at lunch time but the line moves quckly. The food is tasty with generous portions. All the ingredients taste very fresh. I have a few different recommendations. The steak and cheese is very good. The meat is juicy and they stack it up in the sandwich. I also really enjoyed the corn beef and pastrami. Also, make sure you try the brownies. One of the best brownies around. The only complaint I have is the $ 1 charge if you use a debit/credit card for an order under $ 10. Overall, I am glad that I found this place and will be back soon.

this was a crazy good sub, totally unexpected. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu but it looked like there were a ton of chicken-based sub options on the menu

Best keep secret. With wynwood around the corner, this best is perfect! The best subs and for the right price. The best thing they have is there home made cakes and brownies and cookies. This place is the spot! Parking can be a confusing. Right a spot and just park! The chicken cheese and bacon wrapper has my favorite. Friends love the pastrami. A new York once said just as good as the ones at home! Caution — if you are calling to call in — cal before 11 am Between noon and 3pm sick lines… it moves but the line will be there. Enjoy!

Found this place randomly. We enjoy the subs different kinds of subs and wraps as well. It’s a open space small restaurant but the food is made in front of you and there cheap on price. A lot better then going to subway down the street.

Quick old school on the flat iron grill subs, I would eat here any day before subways. Great Philly cheesesteaks, chicken cordon blu subs, pretty much whatever you want subs cooked right there and then. My favorite is steak or chicken with mushrooms, onion and provolone cheese. Vast variety. Very nice cool people From the neighborhood, mom And pop Style, no commercial fake food like the other places, lots of customers but, the employees are fast. I’m a frequent customer and they always make whatever I choose perfect.

Subs on the run is the best sub shop by far! The steak and cheese is freakin amazing! They are extremely consistent and I’ve never had anything less than amazing from here!

Don’t let the neighborhood and health code violations keep you away! This place is a hidden gem. The wraps are the best in South Florida. If your heading over for lunch make sure to be there before noon because the line will literally wrap around the building. I recommend calling in your order and walking straight to the cashier as there really isn’t much seating. Better than any of the lunch shops in Midtown by a long shot.

3.5STARS for the rare sandwich shop that does breakfast subs as well as lunch subs. Since I didn’t have any cash, I had to order at least $ 10 for them to use my credit card. Thus I got their cheesesteak sub with chips and a bottle of Arizona Iced Tea and it came out to about $ 12. Mostly everything here was super cheap… big huge sandwiches were all price below $ 8, most of them between $ 5 and $ 6. I came here when police officers were here so despite the location’s somewhat sketchy neighborhood, I felt entirely safe. I was a bit anxious of jaywalking across the street when there wasn’t a painted crosswalk, but they didn’t chase me down to issue me a ticket… Make sure to go to the far end of the room to place your order so you don’t make the same mistake that I did in going straight to the cashier.

I must have been lucky the first time I went, the line wasn’t long at all! My sub was sooo good! The staff works swiftly, and I love being able to see my food be cooked! These types of subshops are my favorite and I hadn’t seen one in a while — so I’m SOO happy I found this place! I’ll definitely be back and most likely become a regular! Yum!

Not your ordinary sub spot. Plenty of options and very friendly staff. It’s always packed so that means the business is good. I just wish they had the option to toast the bread.

I was looking for a Non-Latin restaurant and found Subs on the Run. This place provides fresh Hot subs in a simple restaurant that appears to have been there for 30 years. Staff is friendly and attentive, they had like 9 staff members to serve us. They also have cold subs like chicken salad. I had the large Jerk Chicken sub, and boy is it BIG!, was! It’s diced chic breast sautéed on a flat iron cook top, add onions and cheese. You can you may also add lett, Tom, oil vinegar, mustard, japs, banana peppers if you like. I asked for a side of buffalo sauce and it appeared to be homemade hot sauce with red pepper flakes, almost like a hot oil. It was very hot and good, I poured it on sub as I ate it. My friend had the Cheese steak and it looked great as well, small sub will suffice the appetite. Overall a great hidden Sub place that is sure to please, simple, fresh and reasonably priced. You can get sub, drink and chips for around $ 8.!! Make it a large sub for about $ 10. Caution the large is for BiG appetites.

This place is always a madhouse. I have to be mentally prepared to be herded through the like cattle and be screamed at by staff just so I can hear them over all the madness going on. With that said the subs are pretty darn good and pretty economical. For a quick cheap lunch in the hood, you cant beat it.

I’ve been lucky enough to have this close-by, but now that I ‘know’, I will travel far and wide to experience the Jerk Steak and cheese sub at Subs on the Run. Everything I’ve tried is incredible and the line out the door no matter what time you arrive(breakfast or lunch) speaks for itself. They offer a wide range of options for breakfast or lunch in the sandwich and salad variety including wraps, sub rolls, soups, salads, and they even offer individually wrapped slices of cake. You do not have to go the steak or chicken and cheese route, but if you’re rarely in the area and have 1 shot, I would urge you to order any of those options. I’ve personally never had a jerk steak and cheese but now that I have, there really is no turning back. It’s even good the next day straight from the fridge! If you’re in a hurry, the line does move swiftly but you will not be in and out in less than 5 minutes so be warned. The staff works so hard and their drive to succeed is infectious. There is rarely a time that I am speaking with someone sharing the line with me that isn’t a regular. Once you’re in the know, you will be my best friend. I’m confident about that. Enjoy!!!

What’s great about this place is the sense when you walk in that they already expect you to know how to order. Know what I mean? Remember the Soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld? I mean, it’s not THAT bad, but I could tell they were annoyed with me when I ordered, which tells me two things: Thing the first: They get A LOT of repeat business, which, to me, is a sign of something special; and Thing the second: Playing off thing the first, staying connected to neighborhood, through consistent quality and great prices, is of the utmost importance to the owners. I’m telling you, they could so charge more if they wanted. They could move elsewhere, spruce the place up, and totally justify higher prices, because really, it’s the only quality sub place that comes to mind in proximity to the Wynwood/Edgewater/Midtown area, but you know what? They haven’t, and judging by the people running this place, they don’t care to. My lady friend woke up with a hankering for a honey mustard sub, so she asked(read: demanded) that I pick one up at Subs on the Run. I walked in, read the menu for about five minutes, and stumbled through my order. «Honey mustard sub, large, with onions and mushrooms. Also, a eggs and bacon sub, large, with cheese, tomatoes, and mustard. And F it, a large soda, too.» Seventeen bucks. Seventeen freaking dollars for subs that, both in taste AND value, put chain sandwich places to shame. Expand your horizons, friends.
