Stay Away from this place. Literally made a Unilocal account to write this review because it’s that horrible. Ordered takeout Saturday night 1÷6÷16, regardless of being treated poorly multiple times while ordering here in the past. Ordered a Miami Heat roll and it was burnt to the foil. Was forced to eat it with a fork, and even then half of it was inedible. This location is a poor excuse for a sushi restaurant with terrible management and now badly made sushi. Would rather drive to the Sushi Sake in Bird road or Doral for better treatment and sushi. Pictures are posted.

I love coming here and sitting outside to enjoy some sushi I always get either the Miami Heat roll or the angel roll. Shrimp fried rice and shrimp sauce is delicious although I prefer the spicy mayo. Four stars because they don’t have an open bar. Came today and my server was shanet she was super attentive and nice.

Been to other SS locations and enjoyed myself. Decided to visit this location with my 11 year old daughter last night for a mommy/daughter date night and had to leave after placing our order because the manager and servers were standing in the dining area holding personal conversations that consisted of an obscenity every other word. The waitress, whose name I wish I would have gotten, was light haired possibly blonde and very thin. She kept saying,” F*ck my parents, when they get F*CKING old, they better not F*CKING call me. They are going to a F*CKING nursing home. Their old AS*ES better lose my F*CKING number. F*CK that SH*T…” Meanwhile other servers and the manager standing there were laughing like it was the funniest thing ever. I couldn’t believe it was happening, but then the fact that the manager Gina was a part of it made it even more disgusting. The first curse word came out and I took notice but ignored, then the second and I looked around to see other patrons noticing, then the tirade went on and finally my own daughter said,“Mami, I don’t want to eat here anymore.” No respect for their jobs or the establishment. I am embarrassed for the owner. Then when confronted the manager tried to treat me like I was crazy. The sushi chefs even chimed in and shook their head at her and said ‚“Gina…we heard it too, it was loud and a lot.” You know its bad when the other employees are even embarrassed by it. She shrugged her shoulders and motioned for me to leave, so we did. I called another SS location on Bird and spoke to the manager there named Danny who was very nice and professional and apologized profusely. Danny provided me with the main office number and asked that I contact them this morning which I will. He was everything a manager should be. Too bad he can not be cloned! Gina and that skinny obnoxious dirty mouthed waitress need to be canned.

Service was great, but had an issue where the chef made my sons roll incorrect. He got upset and slammed his plate because he had to redo his roll. The roll was missing cream cheese and when the correct roll came it was stuffed with cream cheese. Not all the rolls taste great. I recommend going elsewhere. I don’t think and guest of any establishment has to deal with bothered employees. The manager came to the table and was helpful. She did remove the roll, but the hostility with the bothered chef was really uncalled for. Been long time customers since there Brickell location and this is our last! Again, Gena the manager was friendly and resourceful and our waitress.

I absolutely love the special fried rice here, but they always skimp on the meat! And this is a $ 16 fried rice! The sushi is good, but a but pricey for what you get, and I have sushi all over Miami. The service is ok. They charge $ 1 for each sauce which is ridiculous… I don’t mind paying for it, but It’s the principle behind it.

Good for Take-Out but they need to get more drivers So you don’t have to go pick up your order… it was 25 minutes to pick up or 1 hour and 15 minutes for delivery

The food at this sushi sake is the worst I’ve had. The fried rice was clumpy and wet. The tuna tataki hardly had any ponzu sauce and when we asked for more the server brought us more but did not tell us there would be a $ 1 charge until we saw the charge on the bill. Shared the volcano and dragon rolls and they tasted mediocre. The server was great friendly and efficient. Hammocks sushi sake will stay my favorite.

Not impressed, servers took 15 minutes to greet me at 22 pm when it is not busy at all anymore. Then when greeted hostess was rude asking me to move my purse so she could properly place the menu how she preferred to do so. Then when got the food it was very blah, sushi roll was warm like they just finished cooking the rice. Oh and no full bar!

Asked our waitress for a recommendation and when the bill came it was $ 22.00. I definitely should’ve asked how much it was but who does that? Most of the rolls are 10 — 15. Anyways I didn’t get my cotton candy with my check and the roll tasted super fishy. Thumbs down, need better service.

I have been a patron of Sushi Sake since they opened at this location. The Sushi is good, especially for the Westchester area. I asked my wife to please place an order, because I was running an errand. I was expecting to arrive 20 — 30 minutes later and the food to be ready for pick-up. Much to my surprise, when I arrived, they did not place the order because my wife could not give them a credit card. Apparently a new policy! It seems to me that they have no way of knowing who a frequent customer is and therefore instead of treating me like a patron that has supported them since they opened, I was treated like a perfect stranger. Most restaurants identify their frequent customers through their phone numbers, apparently Sushi Sake does not do this. When I requested to speak to the manager, the only explanation that I received was, «that it is a policy for any order over $ 80 to have a credit card before placing the order.» I argued that I have been coming here for a very long time, and confirmed that my wife also explained this over the phone, but that did not seem to matter. She told me that if I still wanted to place the order it would take 20 — 30 minutes more. In summary, food is good, service is slow, and poor customer experience.

Thief! thief! thief! I paid with my bank card and tiped in cash. Checked my statement and they manipulated the bill and added $ 15.00 of extra tip. Thought I wouldn’t notice I guess. Had to cancel my card and all the inconveniences that come with that headache… All for 15.00 petty dollars!!! So if u want to get ripped off then enjoy your meal.

The service is quick & to the point just how I like it. I love coming here by myself for a quick eat. They have brown rice(if you prefer it over white rice like I do) and the sushi is good. I really like how they give you free cotton candy at the end. Mine was so big that it tipped over & fell on the floor… the waitress was quick to bring me a new one & she was really nice too.

My sister has been craving sushi for over a week so we decided to go to our usual spot Sushi Sake. The servers are always nice & pretty quick to take your order & bring out your food. Since I don’t eat seafood I had the«calle ocho» roll which is fully cooked with ham croquetas, avocado, rice, plantains & potato sticks. My only negative comments is that I feel that the roll would taste better fried but besides that it’s pretty darn good. My mom, sister & I also shared the special fried rice & chicken noodles. Those were OK. The pork dumplings still remain my favorite item on the menu.

I don’t understand why all the bad reviews. The place is clean, nicely decorated, and good for when craving sushi. I like their menu and the service was great today. And cotton candy at the end is always nice.

It pains me to make these comments as I and my family have been good customers of this location since it opened, however after the horrible and rude service my daughter was given when she went there for lunch this week, and on her birthday nonetheless, I doubt we will ever be returning again. From the hostess, to the waitress, to the woman who was«supposedly» the manager(I say that because I doubt that any manager would ever actually speak or treat any customer in that manner) were incompetent, rude, degrading, disrespectful and above all very immature in actually talking about and laughing at customers so they could clearly hear… Good customer service is really the main key to set your restaurants apart from the rest… these days you can throw a stone in any direction and hit a sushi restaurant and they all basically have the same menus… but poor customer service can mean the difference between having a loyal customer or one who will not only never return therefore you lose $$, but also one that will never have a good thing to say about your restaurant again.
