Sushi-Mee! Where have you been the 3+ years I’ve been living in Flagami aka The Dead Zone for anything tasty other than Cuban food. Seriously, there’s nothing around us for miles… On my long search for new and exciting places to eat around home I used my Unilocal app and search nearby. Sushi Mee started coming up not only as a new place around my house but also as highly rated. In fact, ALL the reviews were good! A few weeks go by and I see there is a Groupon deal for it. SOLD! Within 2 days after I bought we were there. Location is not easy to find! Like George M. said it’s tucked away in a decrepit shopping center, inside of another restaurant. Once we found it, well, we were a little less than impressed with the décor. We ordered two rolls, the ASU and the Crunchy Tuna. Both were divine and large enough to be filling for two people. I think next time I go I will try the Sashimi. Mikko, the chef told us he uses Grade A tuna to top the ASU roll and just the tuna topping itself is to die for. Keep and eye out for Groupons and Dealsavers or just come in! It’s definitely worth it. They also deliver to almost anywhere in Miami. Mikko is a nice young hardworking guy who is doing amazing things with sushi. He has been renting a spot in the Seoul Garden Restaurant for a while. He will definitely be a success so make sure you try his food now. I’m indie like that so I’ll be able to brag that I met him when he first opened the place up.

Most people like to go where other people are at while other enjoy finding off the beaten path places and find hidden gems. Sushi-Mee is like a matryoshka doll but instead of just finding a really tiny figurine of your babushka, you end up finding some of the yummiest and freshest sushi in town. Sushi-Mee is inside Seoul Garden which is inside(the corner) a seasoned strip mall which is behind a mattress store which is in West Flagler. Yeah Indiana Jones, it might be hard to find but when you do you wont be sorry. We started of with a small but extremely fresh ginger salad and some fried gyoza dumplings. The dumplings had that nice crispiness even after dipping them in the sauce and I wanted to drink the ginger dressing that went on the salad. We had to order the ASU Roll cause it just sounded ridiculous with what seemed every animal in the sea in it or on it and a what next to the ASU seems pedestrian Crunchy Tuna. From where we were sitting all we could see of Mikko was the top of his head so Jenny went over to see from where and who was all this sushi magic coming from. We half expected to find some 80 year old master like the one that trained B in Kill Bill. Mikko is young dude, super friendly thats been in this game for a while and is trying to change it. Bonus — they deliver to almost anywhere! Erica, our waitress, shared with us that they just had a delivery to downtown earlier in the day. That has to be at least a ten mile delivery radius. Take that! Arigatou gozaimasu

I enjoyed a lot ordering the food from Sushi-mee. It tastes fresh, they have creative combinations, and the food is always beautifully prepared. One of the few places I give five stars.

Had some fantastic rolls here(Eel, Spider and Vegas). I wasn’t too hungry, unfortunately, otherwise I’d have had much more food.. They let you choose Korean or Japanese or both, and they have some interesting mixes there, like Kim-chi udon miso soup. Snappy and friendly service too. Definitely a place to come back to

Wow… amazing sushi! I went here for lunch recently(found out about it via an ad in Miami New Times). It’s situated in a small shopping center and If you blink you’ll miss it. It’s so exciting to find one of Miami’s hidden gems! Sushi-Mee beats the hell out of ALL the expensive sushi restaurants(and the cheap ones too). I couldn’t believe how good it was. I had the dragon roll… oh my GOD — sushi Shangri-la in my mouth! I was shocked — I couldn’t believe how amazing it was. The best part: they deliver pretty much anywhere in Miami. I don’t know how they do that(I called a pizza place recently that was only a mile down the road from my place — they didn’t deliver… BAD for business). They’re on Flagler near the university and they deliver even to Pinecrest! Incredible. I will be eating and ordering from here a lot in the future! Here’s my vote: best sushi in Miami!

I was pretty much in the mood to get burgers, but my friend mentioned this place and how great it was the last time he went, so I decided to give it a shot. It was a long time since I went to a sushi bar, but I must say, this place was pretty relaxing, they have HD flat screen televisions for you to watch and the owner is a one man show making sushi. The waiter was really nice and he knows when he’ll pour water again for you when ordering the special spicy Mango Tango Roll. One thing that stands out compared to all the other sushi bar is the unique creative presentation that you don’t see when sushi is served, when the owner served the Miami roll(highly recommend it) it was sweet, decorated with spicy mayo, crab meat, and sprinkled with tasty tempura crumbs and fresh tuna. The world spinned and split into two universe with explosions after my first bite!(forgive me and my silly analogies XD) But yea, all in all I think the price is reasonable for how much they put on the sushi and the service is excellent. I did indulge myself at sushi mee ^_^

I came here for dinner after reading my fellow Unilocalers’ reviews, and was anxious to see what all the fuss was about. The concept is great; as others mentioned, this is a partnership with Seoul Gardens, so you essentially have two restaurants in one. This is especially ideal if people in your party crave different cuisines, and all at a price that doesn’t break the bank. We tried the dragon, jb tempura, and black dragon rolls, and all were excellent. The one that stood out from the rest, however, is most definitely the ASU roll. Props to Chantelle M. for suggesting it in her review! As she indicated, it’s not even on the menu, which tipped off Mikko(the chef behind this magnificent beast of a roll) as to how I found out about this place to begin with. He’s extremely friendly and will bend over backwards to ensure a satisfying dining experience for you, by the way. And, man, does he deliver. Mikko came up to us to chat for a bit about his new endeavor. After working at the likes of Ra, Sushi Sake, and others, he decided it was time to start his own thing. He saw an opportunity in a partnership with Seoul Garden and jumped at the chance. He confessed he is still hashing out his menu(which is why it doesn’t yet feature the ASU roll), and promised he will be adding several dessert options as well for those with a sweet tooth. Until then, you can still order from the available offerings, which are all quite tasty. Oh, and they deliver. Practically anywhere in Miami, mind you, and they waive the delivery fee if you live nearby. Check out to place your order.

Fresh Sashimi Grade Fish! Yum. The only roll i really liked was the Miami Heat roll, other then that all the sashimi are really fresh which is what matters. =)

So. It’s FINALLY happened. A much more than good sushi place… in my area. And one I can afford to come to over, and over, and over again. If you take a look at the menu, you’d be surprised to see Sushi Rolls you’re used to paying a pretty penny for, come down to a more reasonable price. Not to mention their awesome 3 – 6 pm Happy Hour. In my first conquest, I got the Miami Heat Roll, and the Spring Rolls. The spring rolls came with a snazzy little dip. Not sure what it was, BUT I LIKEIT. What stole my heart, was the aforementioned roll. I didn’t realize how hungry I was, or how much I was beasting for some Sushi, until I had my first bite. There was a perfect balance of rice and sushi bits to make it dangerously easy to eat. I give it up to Mikko, the man behind the dream for bringing what I consider the Pincho Factory of Sushi to my side of town. Value and abso-effin-lutely deliciousness is sure to get attention of most Sushi-Lovers. Mikko Knows Sushi. Like Bo Knows hitting HRs and running over punks.

So I recently came here for the grand opening night this previous sunday before Christmas! I had no idea that this place was working in conjunction with Seoul Garden so I was surprised to see that the address was just the same. I think that’s pretty cool and smart for a start-up business. You get to create your own business and also provide a new option for the previous restaurants customers. So whereas Seoul Garden had korean and few thai options, now it has Sushi-Mee to add a whole new Japanese side if you’re hankering for sushi and your partner wants the KBBQ. Sushi + Korean Soju? …yes please! Onto the food, make sure you come when the owner of Sushi-Mee(Mikko-san) & sushi chef is working! He really knows how to create exquisite sushi from any concoction and on the spot! My friends and I ordered: the Volcano Dragon roll [ ] the Crunchy Tuna roll [ ] and the«ASU» roll which is NOT on the menu, but you MUSTMUSTMUST order it and try it! I can’t even describe it but its probably one of my favorite rolls. All I can say it that its topped with juicy tuna pieces all over the top of the roll. I really liked how every roll was super fresh. The avocados didn’t taste old or stale, like how some can get especially when you come to dine at nighttime. I loved the crunchy tuna roll because inside were the most juicy and thick pieces of tuna. Best part of it all and that 95% of the rolls are $ 7 — $ 10! Including the«specialty» rolls! So come here for really succulent pieces of sushi that you would normally pay $ 15 or more elsewhere. I didn’t really get to try any of the other entrees or apps. I really came for just the sushi fix haha but I will! Be advised that this is purely pretty much apps and sushi! And its a good things because its definitely their strongpoint! They don’t have your typical japanese dinner entrees here like Teriyaki Chicken or etc. For those of you that live near, the owner also works with so you can order sushi to go and be delivered right to your home. From what I’ve seen on the site. they’ve gotten all 5 star ratings thus far on their services for a budding business! So check it out!
