Have to agree with many previous posters. Not very good considering the price. I ordered a mixed green salad, a burger, and fries. The bartender came out with a plate of shredded iceberg lettuce with two tomato slices and a few pieces of red onion. For $ 8, I expected more. Never had a chance to send it back before my burger arrived. The bartender insisted on having the salad re-made, saying she didn’t know I wanted mixed greens(what? that’s how it’s listed on the menu!). I told her I didn’t need a salad now that the burger had arrived, but she ignored that request. I ordered the burger on an English muffin and I’m not sure which was colder, the muffin, the burger, or the fries. I will give the bartender credit for taking the salad off my bill. I have to remember to eat before I get to the airport!

Horrible service. Sat down and waited 10 min and no one approached the table. Absolute joke. Pathetic.

Horrible Horrible Horrible Service. After being in Central America for a month, I was craving a good old American Hamburger. Big Mistake to come into this establishment. The waitstaff was inattentive. By ignoring us and refusing to refill our water. Even though they make you write down your order on small papers with checkboxes, our order was wrong. We had to send back our food twice. We should have gone to Wendy’s. The burger was not that good and definitely not worth the money. Save your money, time, and sanity by choosing to eat at another establishment in the Miami Airport.

Since I am waiting so long … I should at least use my time Unilocaling. This service here was terrible. First when I approached a restaurant with my sister we asked for a table … The bar tender embarrassed us basically insinuating we were stuck up because we wanted to spend our last few hours together at a nice table. Then we got a table and waited an abnormal amount of time for menus. The waiting game continued until our cold food arrived. I guess it was waiting for us too. Our orders were mixed up and everything had to be sent back. Then waiting take 2 began … Our food finally came(the order still wrong). By this time I was out of water and waited to continue eating so I could have some water(waiting take 3?). Now we are still waiting for the waiter to check on us and still noo attention. We didn’t walk out because we have an absurdly long layover… But many others did. There were even more waiters than people at one point ! BEWARE ! I WOULDSUGGESTWENDYSASANALTERNATE !

Terrible breakfast. They do not know how to cook eggs and the bread is stale. Stay away. My wife’s omelette was not great either.

The Counter is always delicious. :-). Loving that they are making it to go so we enjoy it on the next flight.

The food is typically good at these chains, but this location had horrible service. From the moment we stepped to the counter the wait was long because the cashier was clueless and slow. Once we placed our order it was ready in a reasonable amount of time but they flip flopped our orders where my husband I got each other’s toppings and sauces on the wrong burgers. Seemed like they had way too many staff for very little work and when there was something productive to do, they seemed to be hanging around chatting. The location in the San Diego airport makes more sense, they build your burger as your order it and it is ready at the cashier. Too easy.

Unfortunately there was a hair in my boyfriends ahi salad, but the bartender took care of it. He took the item off the bill and an additional 10% off my meal and two bottles of water. T He bartender and the host was full of character and talked to everyone. They really made the place

People are complaining about the time. This isn’t your typical airport food, everything is completely fresh with grass fed amazing beef. The worker told me it’d take at least 15 minutes when I first arrived because they make everything fresh. I just witnessed a guy running late to his gate so he left and a couple workers chased after him to successfully give him his meal to go at gate 43(restaurant is between gate 33 and 32). Burger is amazing, and customer service is just as good!

I’m surprised others aren’t giving this place better reviews. Organic greens, grass-fed beef, vegan options! I loved it. I went vege, and it was delicious. Better quality than one would expect in an airport(by a lot), and the scene is a little more rarefied than the usual pub/Cuban fare that you see across MIA. Service is prompt, although since the burgers are cooked to order, it does take about 10 minutes to get your food. You’re presented with a breakdown of how you’d like your food, such as Protein, Toppings, Greens, Cheeses, Sauces, and Buns. For the health-nuts, such as me, you can do the following: — Veggie burger(outstandingly delicious, a touch sweet with the sweet potato, and very savory) — Organic mixed greens(forego a bun, even wheat, and you can have it on a big bed of lettuce) — Roasted mushrooms, tomatoes, guacamole, fresh avocado, pickles, etc. add flavor and color to the meal — There are a lot of sauces to compliment the dishes All in all, a great experience for airport fare.

We had a short layover on our way to California and wanted something fast. Burgers came out great and really fast! The service we got was wonderful! He was helpful with the menu and really friendly. Sweet potato fries were really good. They have a great beer list as well.

Awful overpriced food. Ordered the classic breakfast sandwich before my flight. Tasteless and dry. Menu said it comes with potatoes, they charged me for them and it was a pre frozen hash brown like the ones at McDonald’s. Much better options then this at the airport don’t waste your time or money.

After a week out of the country, I craved a good burger, and for the most part, the Counter delivered a pretty tasty beef bomb. I love the create your own customization aspect of this burger joint. I opted for a medium rare burger with blue cheese, grilled onions, mayo, and Thai peanut sauce… Ok, that last part, the peanut sauce, might have been over the top, but I was swept up in the condiment magic The Counter’s create your own style. My burger was good, but I do wish it was a little cold, even for medium rare. Also, it seemed a bit expensive with a price tag of $ 33 + for a burger, fries and 2 light beers. I guess Five Guys still rules the day.

Nice custom burgers as advertised. Had the veggie burger, guac, cheddar, olives, pepperonicini, ranchero sauce, mixed greens, good fries. Son enjoyed the banana shake. For airport terminal option, recommend this place. :-)

Ambiance nice, server and service good; but $ 26.76 for 1⁄3 cheeseburger 50⁄50 fries and Coke zero… not! Is this normal for MIA?

First time eating at a Counter and I’m SOLD. I freaking loved that burger so much. Granted I was ravenously hungry at the time, but the burger was cooked PERFECTLY, the condiments were delicious(although, with a build your own burger, i sorta got to take credit for THAT), and the service was fast and friendly. If you’re in the Miami airport and you want a burger… GOHERE. DELISH!

Passem longe!

I had some time before my flight, so I stopped here to grab a burger, thinking it would be fairly quick compared to the other restaurants. However, the service was painfully slow, especially considering it’s an airport. While there, two other guests sitting near me got up and left because they needed to catch their flights and they’d been waiting way too long to either a) put in their order, or b) get their burger. I had enough time to spare that I was able to sit and wait for my burger, but I had to scarf it down when it arrived. And then I had to ask another server for my check because I didn’t see my server anywhere in sight. I did not leave a generous tip, to say the least. My veggie burger was alright. I added carmelized onions as a topping, and for some reason they tasted really off, so I ended up taking them out. But it still left a bad taste in my mouth. All in all, it was better than eating a McDonald’s burger given the abundance of topping options(and the fact that it was vegetarian — hallelujah!), but it was not good enough to return to that location. The sweet potato fries were delicious though. When you’re at the airport and don’t have a lot of time to fart around. While in Miami, maybe I should have stuck to a solid, reliable Cuban sandwich.

We’ve been to TWO The Counter locations and this one at the MIA airport was not as good and as expected, since it’s at the airport, definitely more expensive. We filled out our burger order sheets and I wanted mine with the avocado on the side which I wrote in and they just stacked it in the burger. I also had whole wheat buns and they were cold and dry, not toasted. The plain buns look and taste better — and they’re toasted! Had I known, I would have asked for toasted buns. Fries were hot and fresh but something was just off about the MIA location. It was just okay and not great as the one in Walnut Creek, CA. I think with the add-on avocado, it was about $ 18. Pretty pricey for a burger but sure beats eating at Wendy’s or some other fast food place that was a few doors down from here.

Decided to grab a bite to eat here before our flight. The reason for 3 stars? The prices… I get that it’s an airport and I expected it to be over priced, but seriously 1 burger, 1 small egg sandwich and 2 bloody marys for more than $ 50 is a bit steep! The food itself was ok. Steven C. did a customized burger with peanut sauce and lots of other yummy toppings, and I did a customized egg sandwich that came with no sides and sadly was a bit small. We sat at the bar so service wasn’t really an issue for us, but it did take a while for our food to come out, especially when you consider the restaurant was maybe only a third of the way full. The best thing about this place was the hostess/greeter in the front who was extremely friendly and enthusiastic and was probably the main reason we ate here. BOTTOMLINE: Stick to the airport«food court». Things will still be expensive but at least you’ll get your food quickly!
