Quick Background about me: 9 years in the hospitality industry(from dishwasher, server, manager, you name it!). Have worked as a personal chef. Traveled extensively through Europe, lived in Africa and South America, Now the U.S. I find myself a foodie and pretty decent at wine… Review: Went with my friend. Ah yes, we look very young, but if only you understood the girl I brought out to dinner– how well connected she is here in this little place called Brickell. Simply put, amazing. I was very impressed with service, all the details– on POINT. From serving on all the right sides, and clearing. Cutlery position. Exceptional! Food– I could go on about what we have– but know it was absolutely amazing. I was very impressed. We both had steaks, cooked perfect to temperature. The fact that this is truly just a «room» with maybe 3 – 4 tables adds to the privacy and charm. My friend was very pleased. Definitely coming back with more friends, thank you.

Fantastic! We went there for Miami Spice. The food, service and the ambiance were perfect. Excellent oyster salad app with a near perfect salmon entrée. The limoncello cheese cake was lighter than air. A big yummy yum yum experience.

this is a beautiful small restaurant inside the JW Marriot Brickell. It is only 7 tables, so it is very intimate. The restaurant validates parking. We ate there of the Miami Spice menu. Everything was delicious. I had the Prosciutto Speck wrapped shrimp, which was fantastic and my wife had the Octopus salad which was pretty good. The carrot purée had a nice kick to it. Then she had the scallops with Lemon and Shrimp Risotto and those were also delicious. I ordered the Manchego Crusted Tenderloin. Although Filet is not my favorite cut of beef, this was delicious. I was very pleased. My wife and I were the only ones there so the service was excellent.

We went here for Miami Spice. The menu was really great, and we enjoyed the duck confit that was complimentary outside of the appetizer. The service was attentive, and on point. This is a nice quiet restaurant to take a date or have a business meeting. As for the food, we got the bacon wrap shrimp and a fig salad, both of which were very good. For the entrée we had the lamb shank ravioli which was delicious, but portion size was very small. We also had the beef tenderloin with mash potatoes, which was really good. Overall we had a great dining experience. Smaller portion size with«hotel restaurant pricing».

Great Miami spice menu, excellent service. Very small and quiet. Good if you’re looking for a place with a lot of privacy. Younger crowd might find it too quiet.

This place is awesome. It is almost like a private dining room, and the service is excellent. The food is good, however nothing earth shattering. This is a romantic spot, and great for a special occasion or a date. I had the pressed duck breast, and my girlfriend had the seabass. Both ‘good’, but nothing exciting. The cappuccino crem brule desert was excellent, and the star of the dinner. Reasonable prices on bottles of wine, and champagne which I took advantage of.

Small and quaint dining room on the second floor of the JW Marriott. There are about 7 tables in the elegantly decorated restaurant. My girlfriends and I came here to try their Miami spice menu. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant and felt as if we were in a private tasting where the chef was cooking solely for us. The Miami spice menu was nice. I highly recommend the roast over a bed of risotto. The chef stopped in to see if everything was to our liking. I love that. knocked a star off for lack of ambiance. Other than that, enjoyed our dinner here very much. Complimentary valet.

We came for Miami Spice, in my opinion the chance for a restaurant to woo new customers. The food was ok, not bad, but not what I would expect of a «fine dinning» restaurant. The appetizer seafood crêpe was ok, the grilled grouper was ok, the lobster bisque was too fishy for my taste. Now the chocolate mousse was delicious, great taste and texture w a light crispy surprise inside.

This place requires a reservation. It was kind of hard to find with the construction on Brickell and it’s on the 2nd floor of the J.W. Marriot so you have to valet if you drive right up, and they take forever to bring your car back. Also even though we made reservations the guy out front couldn’t find us at all and had us waiting like 10 minutes while he went back and found someone else, all the while we were thinking why is it a big deal if you have like 6 empty tables and we’re only 2 people… oh well. We came during Miami Spice and loved their menu. The place is intimate with only about 10 tables. Service is great and the china is very nice but nothing about the restaurant is snobbish. This is a great spot for couples, not really a big group, really hidden away but worth it!

I would never return here or reccomend it to anyone. Let me start by saying the environment and service were fine, this review is based on food only. When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation and made a big show of making sure that they had space for us. There were only 2 other tables of people there and no one came in after we did so I thought they could have been more gracious. The food is phenominally mediocre. We had the Miami Spice menu, the other menu wasn not even offered to us. The overall theme for the meal was average hotel food that you would expet at a wedding. I had the salad, which was wilted and absolutely nothing special. My boyfriend had the strudel, which was tasty but average. For the entrée I had the sea bass which I thought tasted fishy, so I sent it back. The manager offered me a cup of tea to make up for it. The veg that accompanied the fish was overcooked and greasy. My boyfriend had the gorgonzola ravioli, which I found so be just completely mundane. The sun dried tomato pesto was tart(bad sun dried tomatoes) and had none of the garlicy delishiousness I hope for in pesto. For dessert we had the pear in light syrup and the coconut pain purde. The coconut was VERY dry, it tasted like they made it earlier in the day and re-heated it. I didn’t taste the pear but my boyfriend loves dessert, took one bite and set it aside. Overall I was so dissappointed in this meal. The manager came over(there were only 2 other tables of people there) to see what was wrong, why we weren’t eating the food and I told him I didn’t think it was very good or fresh and he told me that I just had a different opinion on food.

Went for Miami Spice Atmosphere– Small(only 8 – 9 tables). Very quiet. Lighting is not dim but not bright. Could be upscale casual to dressy. Interior is clean. Service– No one was at the front to greet us for 5 – 10 min. But once we were seated, all three waiters(there were only 3, which is not bad) were friendly and attended to us regularly. The food was a bit slow to come out. Appetizer– Strudel with onions, mushrroms, and goat cheese– For those who do not know, strudel is a sort of pastry. The filling was delicious, although it lacked a goat cheese flavor. And the pastry was flaky and buttery. A subtle sweet sauce was drizzled on the side which was a nice compliment to the dish. Entre– Pan seared sea bass, orange gastrique, carrots and asparagus, and bonatio mashed medallions– The Sea bass was cooked excellently, but when served was warm, not hot. It could have used some more seasoning because it was a tad bland. The veggies and starch were tasty and cooked correctly. the blood orange gastrique sauce was good, but nothing spectacular. Dessert– Coconut pain perdue, cream cheese ice cream– pain perdue is a fancy word for french toast. It had a nice crisp outside and was moist inside. A slight coconut flavor was not overwhelming. The cream cheese ice cream was very tasty, it is something I have never had before, but enjoyed.

My friends and I attended during Miami Spice month at lunch. Upon arrival the hostess greeted us and we were promptly seated. It’s a small dining room(max capacity 22) and very tastefully decorated. Moments later a warm basket filled with loaves of assorted breads(the little cheese biscuits we my favorite) arrived at our table followed by our bottle of Malbec. For the first course, I had the Spinach and Seafood Stuffed Crêpes which was absolutely delicious. I then had lamb shanks with green beans, roasted eggplant purée and caramelized plums sauce. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The portions were very generous and 5 stars for presentation. I completed my meal with their succulent chocolate mousse!!! It was amazing topped with goat cheese and a mint syrup… DELICIOSO!!! I will definitely be returning here again!!!

My family and I attended during Miami Spice month at lunch. We were the only ones dining at lunch there so we were serviced by only 1 waitress and assisted by the host. Our waitress was very attentive. For the first course, we had the crêpe with seafood & mushroom, the leek soup, and pear and arugula salad. It was accompanied by wonderful piping hot loaves of assorted breads. The raisin bread was delicious!!! We then had lamb shanks, halibut with vegetables, and chicken with risotto. The dishes were very good and generous in size. Let me emphasize — the food portion was very generous and wonderfully presented. :) We finished off with chocolate mouse and grilled fruit-skewer! The mouse was AMAZING! The sous chef & head cook heard my teenager was interested in cooking — and came out to greet us. That was most kind of the staff! I would recommend the restaurant for the amazing & generous menu during Miami Spice!

So a group of us decided to try this place out with the Miami Spice menu. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I have to disclose that since our group was the only one at the restaurant that may have led to the great service, but I digress LOL My dishes were excellent. The strudel with white cabbage and pork was delicious. For my entrée I had the roasted duck served with lentils. If you want a nice romantic Miami Spice dinner I would say this is a great place to go.

Fine dining. Romantic atmosphere despite in being inside the marriott. The chef obviously was meticulous with each dish. The pear dessert was unbelievable. The entire meal was a symphony of flavors.
