Be prepared to wait and wait since the ladies who work there act like zombies. You’d think with all the sugar and Cuban coffee in the air, they’d be awake. The line of people can be out the door and it will not matter. Anyways, as far as the food, they used to be 5 star amazing. A couple of years ago they became a hit or miss. I visited them today since I had been craving a café con leche. The coffee was very good. I also ordered a guava pastry which was gross. I ended up only eating half. The pastry was not flaky, it was dense and toward the hard side. The guava was only on one side. Once I got to the middle it was an empty pocket of air. Very disappointing. I think I need to find a new bakery.

I have ordered from here for work meetings about 4 times in the past(for 140 employees). I like to try different bakeries and places for each meeting but the employees have voted this the best one so I’ve kept coming back. Everyone loves the food from here. My orders are usually pigs in the blanket, pastelitos de guayaba, queso, guava y queso, pizza pastel, cangrejos de carne, empanaditas argentinas, bocaditos de pasta y de lasca, y croquetas de jamón. For that many people, it’s difficult to keep budget but it usually comes out to under $ 400 so that’s good for me. I love the food and the prices. The work meetings start at 7am and they always have the order ready for me at 6:45.(The bakery is not far from my job) so everything always arrives warm and fresh for the meeting. Excellent service.

This place is close to home so it’s good for a quick stop if I want some pastelitos or café con leche. I recently inquired on party packages and was disappointed to find out they don’t have any packages without a cake on it. I rather have a cake from publix so this bakery didn’t work for me and what I was looking for.

I have yet to walk into a Cuban bakery where the workers are actually friendly. Unless, of course, you are a regular. In that case, you get full on convos and get to cut in line ahead of others. SMH The pastries are good and they offer reasonably priced packages for parties. I like that I can just walk in and get a package without having to order ahead of time. I still prefer Ricky’s but I would not hesitate to go back to Vicky’s if need be.

I often go to this place while in Miami visiting my family, the reason I do is because is the closest one from where I always stay. The pastries are fine, I do enjoy them but not different from other local places. What I don’t like about this place is the service. The employees treat one as if they do not like that you are there, with a grim face, move very slow and gossiping while customers wait is priority. Never pleasant. I remember the owner being the same way in the past but not sure if is still there as I have not seen her lately. Maybe the owner’s treatment towards the employees causes this, I don’t know. On my next visit, I plan to find another Cuban bakery in the area as I surely do not want to comeback to this one.

I will definitely be coming back to order their party platters! This place delivered in terms of taste as everyone loved the croquettes and bocaditos! Thank you Vicky Bakery!

My ordeal to find an «open» location of this quasi famed Cuban bakery began when I found myself to be the last living entity in Miami to have never been there. Really? It’s ON. I used the Unilocal website and Vicky’s website to try to locate the closest location near civilization, but unfortunately every Vicky Bakery sits on the periphery of Miami or in the Hialeah galaxy. No wonder I hadn’t been there. I found one location in Sweetwater, on Flagler Street. Since it was the closest to me and lunch time was nearing, I decided to stop by after running some errands. I figured a couple papa rellenas would do the trick. By the time I made it to this place, a storm had decided to make landfall right over it. I parked and waited, but soon realized this place was out of business. The store front was completely covered with newsprint paper. Maybe they are doing a full remodeling, but my dreams of papa rellena quickly vanished. Not to be defeated, I planned to have lunch somewhere else and decided to try another Vicky Bakery later on. The second location I found was on the way to the Mickosukees, on 8th Street. After finishing running errands around that area, I drove out to finally satisfy my curiosity. What a surprise. When I got there, there was no Vicky Bakery to be found. Apparently someone else has taken over, and now it has a different name: «Someone Else’s Deli». After two failed visits, I was definitely not letting this one get away. I checked my phone and found a close(not closed) location near Bird Road, which is where this review takes place. To summarize the gastronomy, it was overall good. Good pasteles, croquetas, desserts, I tried a bunch of stuff and all was good. The ladies behind the counter were bored or tired, I got many vibes from them, and in retrospect maybe I should have told them about the mission I had gone through to get there. Final verdict: There is no way in hell I am driving all over Miami for pastelitos. Ever again. Well, after I go to Vicky’s in Hialeah, of course.

The best guava and cheese, croquets, bread, expresso, and crackers in town. Delicious pastries, coffee and sandwiches. Recommend highly. Service is slow. These ladies seem like they don’t want to work. However there is an amazing aroma in here.

This Vicky’s is not like the others. Their customer service is horrible and they take forever in serving their clients. There’s a lady with jet black and short, avoid her at all costs she works like she isn’t getting paid at the rate she’s going.

I have gone to other Vicky’s bakeries before and i’ve liked it. this one for some reason just doesnt do it. They have a big window filled with pastelitos de carne but they are all smooshed on top of each other and they are literally dripping with the pastelito sugar syrup. And its not just the meat ones. They are all overly drenched in the syrup. I had one and couldnt eat anymore. Other than that everything else is the typical cuban bakery so thats why i gave them the 1 stars. But to me if the pastelitos suck… ehh i wouldnt stop at that bakery.
