I discovered this gem of a food truck, set up with a couple of other food trucks in the K-Mart Parking Lot @ Biscayne &107th, across from my condo community. So the kids and I moseyed over to see what was good. I loved the Waffleosophy concept(a sweet waffle, acting as a large soft taco shell, stuffed with savory meat and veggies) and decided to try the Curry Chicken Waffle. WOW! From the first bite, I was instantly transported to HEAVEN! It was like a flavor bomb exploded in my mouth, and all of my senses were suddenly overwhelmed by this rich, sweet, spicy, creamy, crunchy, blend of more delicious flavors than I’ve ever tasted in one bite! I was fumbling all over myself in sheer full-bodied ecstasy with every bite. One would think you’d get used to this level of pleasure after the first couple of bites, but I couldn’t. I was literally moaning with every bite — my eyes rolling back in my head. If you think I’m being superfluous, and exaggerating here, I’m not. I’m trying very hard here, but I just CANNOT do this justice with words. Now, every time I see a gathering of food trucks, I make a B-Line for Waffleosophy. And every time I get the Curry Chicken, it’s the same experience — my whole body is just so surprised at how amazing it is. I can’t tell you everything that’s in this concoction, because when I eat them, I’m too high to pay attention to things that I’m normally very attentive to, like what I’m putting into my body(BTW, I mean high on the flavor, not drugs). I can tell you that this waffle is made from corn, and is a linked web of round flavor pockets. I can tell you that there’s delicious, juicy meat, in a reasonably large quantity, and there’s shredded cabbage. There may be some other veggies, but again, when I’m eating these things, I’m not all that cogent. They have Chicken, Beef, and Pork versions, with Curry, Jerk, or BBQ flavoring, and of course they also have desert versions of the waffle, which is the Hong Kong tradition. However, I’m so head-over-heals in love with the Curry, that I haven’t yet tried anything else. There’s enough food in one serving that I’m usually full when finished. Maybe that’s a good thing, but while my stomach tells me I’m full, my body is screaming for more and wishing I had a bigger stomach. Oh! And all of this for only $ 6.00!!! I’ve now seen them in Hollywood, and Wynwood, as well, so look for them at the next food-truck gathering, and be amazed.
