At first glance, this Winn-Dixie seems great. It is huge, well-stocked, well-organized, the aisles are roomy, there are plenty of open registers… I was pretty optimistic about my purchases, and ready to give the place 4 stars until I got home and looked closely at my purchases. The milk bottles I bought(one for mom, and one for me), are both expiring in less than two weeks. How can you sell something that close to its expiration date? When you shop at Publix, the milk bottles don’t expire for about a month, and that is the way it should be. Milk is about $ 4 a bottle nowadays and that’s not exactly cheap, so this is just wrong! I was pretty frustrated, but unwilling to drive the 30 miles or so from Miami Beach to the Richmond Heights area to return the gallon bottles. I guess my child and I will be having milk coming out our ears in order to avoid having to dump a half-used bottle in the next nine days.

Does anyone know the Winn-Dixie motto/slogan? Exactly… No you don’t. There isn’t anything memorable about Winn-Dixie and nothing that it’ll make you rave about this grocery store. It’s no Publix«where shopping is a pleasure», but if you need to grab something quick and you are in the area go for it. The only perk about shopping at Winn-Dixie is good prices and earning fuel perks for certain products you buy. Be careful with the 2−4−1 deals because although it sounds great, it might not taste great because you might be purchasing an almost expired product… eeeeek And what about their hot prepared foods? Well, if you like to eat food that has already been touched by dirty fingers and flies, then you will absolutely love their hot prepared foods. There is a bar with fried chicken, sides, etc that is completely open to the public to touch… its seriously disgusting! Decent variety of steak, chicken and pork but lack turkey products. The Deli section is pathetic. The Winn Dixie brands of ham, turkey and cheese are bleehh and their premium brand is okay. I would much rather go to Publix and buy Publix brand or Boar’s Head. Produce is okay but sometimes they are out of things like green onions and cilantro which is frustrating since you expect to get all groceries in one visit to the store. And if you do not know whether or not to believe the reviews about the cleanliness, well take my word that it is ok, although I must whip out my hand sanitizer at least twice while I am there. Expecting on getting in and getting out quick? Then don’t use the self– check out. Most grocery shoppers are incompetent and are slow to use the machines and how to look up products. You are better off making the line to see a cashier. So why do I go to this Winn Dixie? If it wasn’t across the street from my house, I wouldn’t go. And if you are wondering what the Winn Dixie motto/slogan is… well, I had to Google it. «Getting Better All the Time»… Def. not an effective mantra to live by when Winn Dixie actually gets WORSE every time I go.

Place looks dirty and those self checkouts don’t work you take twice longer doing that then just waiting in line for a cashier but the n there’s only 2 cashiers so loose loose situation

I was forced to come here on Easter Sunday because my beloved Publix was closed. I desperately needed a few items(I exaggerate the word desperate because I would never come here willingly). My experience here was horrible. Of course, it was crowded. But this didn’t bother me as much because, hello, it was Easter and I had already mentally prepared myself for the chaos. What upset me was just the damn layout of this store. Everything seems to be in an awkward location. I don’t feel like the aisles flow, nor do the product locations make sense. On top of the awkwardness, the employees have a bad attitude. I wouldn’t be happy to work at a supermarket, especially on a holiday, but I could at least fake a smile for my customers.(Nah, I probably wouldn’t.) Either way, I hate this Winn Dixie. They don’t have certain products that Publix has, their aisles don’t make sense, and it just feels grimy inside. I won’t be back. Unless it is Easter Sunday again, Publix is closed, and I am super desperate. I will plan better next time. I love you Publix. Forever.

If you want rotten food, dirty isles, lack of costumer service, and self check out machines that never work you have come to the right place. I cannot tell you how many times I have had to drive back to the grocery store to return rotten food. I only gave them 3 starts because if it wasn’t for the pharmacy that is so damn fast I would call this place lose Dixie!. The pharmacy is amazing you give the pharmacist your Rx and 5 minutes later you got your drugs. Total opposite of CVS. Never never ever buy anything cold there, and if you do smell it and take a reaaaaaallll close look at it because it might be housing little critters. If every publix in Miami suddenly disappears I may come back here … for canned goods lol.

This place looks & is a lot better than others in it’s chain, it is quite clean and organized all the time. The service is also on point & helpful if you can find them. The produce section it’s actually quite nice and the only reason I usually stop here as I am at heart a Publix gal. It’s like a Whole Foods budget section w/no organics, LOL Not but really, the greens here are fresh & much cheaper if you are on a budget and don’t care for organics at times. The already washed stuff is not as fresh for some reason even if it doesn’t expire that same week. Unfortunately you do have to check expiration dates on some items that don’t move thru the shelfs as much so be careful.(last time I bought ice cream it seemed like it had been re-frozen, you know that horrible texture, YUK — the expiration was 2012 but still WTH) It’s also convenient to have the liquour store right next door. Happy shopping!

They have completely revamped Winn-Dixies around this area. Their prices are usually lower than the competition n their produce section has gotten considerably cheaper and better. They even have a section for organic products. This location has odd produce depending on the season, which is great for those who love to cook and experiment in the kitchen. I tend to go at off hours when the place looks a bit empty. I do wish this location would have better service in the deli dept.

I had not been to this Winn-Dixie location in years. They have completely made over the store. The isles are wide and well-stocked. Their produce is very fresh, and they even have an organic produce section. Most important, the gross smell I remember is gone. Woo hoo! Go, Winn-Dixie!
