TJ Chumps

Very cool atmosphere in downtown Miamisburg. Had a huge back patio but it was a little hot so we opted to sit inside. We ordered buffalo chicken dip and it was good but would rather have shredded chicken then the chunks of chicken they offered. I ordered the ribs and fries. The ribs were cooked perfect and fell right off the bone. I am a sauce aficionado and opted for the honey bbq to dip my fries in. The sauce was thin and had a subtle taste of honey. Very good. Overall good food and atmosphere. The seating is tight and there is only one toilet for each gender but it is to be expected with an establishment in an older building. Park on the street or across the street in a public parking lot.

To be honest, if it were not for a group event, I would not have eaten here. If your a smoker this is a decent place to eat and drink; on the patio. However if your not this place can be off putting and ruin your experience. The chairs are for lounging not for dining, the salt and pepper shakers were visibly dirty, I saw waiters using the POS while juggling dirty dishes, and the table I sat at was not cleaned.
I ordered the «wicked wing sauced» wings. These were the worst wings I have ever had. First of all, they were dry. Not just «no sauce dry» but dry as in overcooked. Most importantly, there was no flavor, not even heat. I also ordered the chili. I do have to admit, the chili was very good. The only complaint with the chili is no crackers, but If it’s ordered with something else I could live with it. My daughter ordered the chicken tenders and had no complaints.
I had to send my wings back and because of other commitments, I left this place hungry.
The service is superb. Drinks are never left unattended and refills always arrive before needed. The staff has a professional appearance and provide fast service.

This review is about the service. We were in tonight for an early dinner. My husbands drink was low and another server saw this, went to the computer to check his order and promptly brought it over. I was impressed and thought you all should know how great this staff works together. With service like this and great food, we will keep coming back!

This place is over priced for the quality of food and beverages. Beer prices are insane for flat draft beer. The only thing this place has going for them is the location of the restaurant. I’ll never be returning.

Ashley is one of the best servers in Dayton. She is so attentive and nice. This is the only Chumps we will go to because of how consistent it is.

I work next door and love TJ Chump’s lunch specials and daily soup options. My favorites are the soups, the chicken salad salad and Caesar salad — love the dressings! Great patio as well!

Who puts Tartar Sauce on «Sushi grade Salmon»?
The food was alright, but the bartender working on Sunday should at least know how to make a Bloody Mary when they are on special. The Service was pretty bad, but that can range I’m sure.

Had the «chump boy» burger. Asked for med-​well but got med-​rare. Gave it back. Ordered bowl of potato soup. It was definitely from a can or bag or something. Wasn’t good. My husband got the boneless chicken wings. Definitely packaged. Not good. The waffle fries were good. That’s all. Wasn’t happy that she didn’t offer to adjust the bill or free dessert but tipped 20% anyway. Always do. Won’t return.

We were pleasantly surprised! Great food for a sports bar– I had glazed salmon with quinoa and broccoli. I normally hate quinoa, but the server brought me a taste, and it was good! The chicken tortilla soup was also great! The service was quick and attentive. Lots of TVs, of course, and plenty of more traditional bar food.

Great place to unwind with great food. Consistently great food at that. Big outdoor patio and lots of TVs for the sport fans. Really good wings and a big bar.

Great sports bar. Excellent menu. Decent beer selection. I’ve never had a bad time at this place. Outdoor patio is the place to be in the summer.

I ordered the humus and the flat bread that came with it looked like it just got done soaking in a hot tub full of grease. wtf! I love humus, but come on… let’s go overboard here. Go buy some flatbread people. Don’t give me a piece of bread that you just threw in the fryer for a half hour. An order of celery that came with it cost me 2 dollars and I received 4 celery sticks. I mean come on. Let me go to the market and buy a nickel worth of celery at this point. It’s just you order humus and you think you just something healthy; I don’t want to feel like I just ate a box of donuts.
My entrée was pretty uneventful to say the least. I got the salmon salad, which was a piece of salmon atop a couple of shriveled pieces of lettuce. Not the best way to spend 10 dollars in my opinion.
On the other side of the coin, the service was good. The people are friendly. I do like the atmosphere, but probably won’t come back bc I didn’t like the food

Excellent food and service — BUT allowing smoking on the patio ruins the experience for me. Even with a large patio, you can’t get away from the smoke. Makes it hard to enjoy with your family when it’s warm out…

Great place to meet friends.. awesome patio in the summer our winter. …I always get the fried chicken tender tossed salad.. amazing burgers too.. big tv screens to catch the games.. staff is always friendly and prompt service. .I highly recommend

Great place to eat watch the game… Or just stop in for desserts… This is a local favorite to hang out at.

Native to the Miamisburg area, we settled here for lunch. This place reminded me of any other type of burger/​bar type of restaurant so I wasn’t expecting much.
I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and I have to say their thoughts on it is a little different. The mushroom in particular. The Swiss and burger is pretty standard along with the fries of course. Now, what TJ chumps does differently with the mushroom is that they have one massive mushroom as big as the burger. This is different because most other mushroom Swiss burgers have little mushrooms sprinkled on there. To me, I think the idea of a big burger is ideal, it brings out the mushroom in a mushroom burger.
The service was well put throughout the meal. I never had to ask for anything, and if I did I didn’t have to do it multiple times. If you want a good local burger joint, or a similar TGI Fridays, this is the place to go. Their family friendly restaurant mixed in their take on the mushrooom Swiss won my vote.

Nice place in a very desolate location. Unfortunately for them not much of a view. Nice bar indoors and bar on patio outside with tables. Food was good. Service was nice.

TJ Chumps has top sushi grade salmon that I can’t stay away from. I also think they have excellent ribs and the pork chop sandwich never gets old.
Not to mention the chicken tortilla soup that they cannot keep on hand. Great food and atmosphere.

Dropped in for a lunch on mother’s day… the patio is awesome. Natural lighting from the outside, tons of tvs, everything you could hope for out of such a place.
Here’s the bad: We had one issue, which was the wait. The restaurant was clearly understaffed. It took us over twenty minutes to place our order.
This is what was good: everything else. The staff was friendly. The food was fantastic. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and waffle fries. It was very high quality bar food. I’ll definitely be back to grab some food, and perhaps next time, enjoy drinks on the awesome patio.

Brought friends here again last night after our first visit. AMAZING! Their ribs were killer, Their wings… BEST I’ve ever had (and I can eat some wings!). The side of broccoli was the largest broccoli florets I’ve ever seen, and the smashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were way above average. They make their own salad dressings and sauces. The blue cheese that came with the wings was lumpy full of cheese and sooo good, we even bought a tub of the rib sauce to use at home it was that good. I will be eating here many more times! I worked in the restaurant industry for years and honestly they are clean, well run, and have incredible food. Not to mention their servers are great! Definitely go!
