Eaten there’s for over 10 years, holy down hill. Went in Starving Saturday November 14th. Got a meatball slice a garlic nott slice. $ 9.50 for a 3 meatball slice and cold slices. I could of got a entire Papa Johns pizza. Never going again and so is half my job, boycotted Middle Island Pizza.

Middle Island Pizza. They charge for delivery and the pizza lacks sauce as well as any kind of decent flavors. Other than being sub-par, I guess it’s alright… never need to go back.

When the owner is ‘on premises ’ everything is spot on– he usually has the food served before the words come out of your mouth, however… When the other DUDS are working and he’s not there it seems like his energy is like kryptonite to them-and they couldn’t give a s whether you are served or not!

Three separate trays of food found with a caterpillar looking insect in it. Employees gave us a hard time. Will never eat there again.

We called in a Sicilian pie with garlic knots and were given a 30 minute timeframe. We waited the 30 minutes and we got there they had just started making the pizza. They were so understaffed but polite and friendly. I added on a chicken franchise dinner with 6 more garlic knots because they said it would be quick but ended up waiting another 30 minutes for the order. The pizza was spicy but good, the chicken dinner had a small amount of sauce so it was like eating dry pasta with a little bit of lemon, and the garlic knots were small, dry, and had no garlic! I would defiantly give them another try in the future but I was very disappointed in the chicken dinner, especially since it cost almost $ 20.00!

Picked up a pie and some garlic knots visiting my sister-in-law who just moved nearby. Very clean space and pizza was very good. Nice crust and good flavor. Garlic knots were light and fresh as well. Would definitely order from here again.

My son loves this place. Orders all the time. I wish they had a better salad pizza. But we are definite regulars

The best tasting pizza in the area. I highly recommend this place. Very good pasta dishes also.

Middle Island is one of the better pizzerias in the area. Their gnocchi is pretty consistent, but some of their other dishes aren’t as consistent(example: penne ala vodka with chicken). The pizza is pretty okay, but not the best I’ve ever had. The prices are a bit higher but worth the expense every once in a while.

Very friendly staff, nice and clean place, good saladas, soups and wraps, but the WORST pizza, is very soggy and thin.

Very friendly, pizza are pretty good no matter what kind you try. Penne a la vodka are great and the sauté spinach is amazing. It’s very nice and convenient place to go for whatever you need

So far been here twice, and haven’t disappointed me yet. Their buffalo slices are terrific, and their lasagna slices hit the spot. Not too awful on price either.

I do have to say that the thickness of the crust of their neapolitan pizza is just about right. But, it reminds me of frozen pizza. Though…it does remind me of the good quality frozen pizza. More like 2 ½ stars But, that ws then… now they are even worse. Their pizza is a thin, goowy greasy mess… gross!

This place has been going downhill fast lately. You have to wonder what the back looks like when the front is so dumpy-paint peeling, dirt everywhere. And they are always rushing behind with your orders. The food gives us stomach problems the next day — no matter what we order. Stay away.

Was in the area working and stopped by for a slice, average to above average pizza, the garlic knots were great though!

Finally dropped into Middle Island Pizza to check it out. The restaurant is super clean. They also have a large selection of pizza varieties. I ordered a plain slice and a crispino slice. Pizza dough is nice and thin, but has too much flour in it, making it a little drier and friable than it should be. The crispino slice was over the top, there must have been like two whole tomatoes on it! Wow, talk about getting your money’s worth. Nothing bad about this pizza place, would definitely return when in the vicinity.

We’re new to the area and have tried lots of different places around trying to find a regular Friday night pizza joint. Our first order was a pepperoni pie and an order of the buffalo style chicken wings. We were blown away by the wings, they are probably some of the best wings I’ve had, ever. The hot sauce is mixed with blue cheese crumbles and the wings have excellent flavor, the sauce covered every nook and crevice of the wings and they were piping hot. The wings were definitely 5 star. The pizza was exactly the opposite. The pizza, although tasty, was cold and a bit soggy but once we threw it in our oven for 5 – 7 minutes the pizza was fine. Fair enough, but I ordered a pizza because I didn’t want to cook or make a mess of my kitchen so this was a disappointment The wings convinced us to order from there again so two weeks later we tried again. We ordered the same thing again hoping that the pizza was an honest mistake. The delivery guy dropped off the food and both the wings and the pizza were cold. This time the wings were dry, they hardly had any sauce on them. The pizza again was very cold. A few weeks later we decided to try again. We thought that maybe the last two times the food came cold because we ordered delivery. So this time we ordered pick up. We decided to try the quesadilla this time in addition to the pepperoni and wings. Wifey went and picked up the food and when we sat at the table to dig in we found the food cold yet again. Unreal! It’s like they either don’t understand heat transfer or they just don’t care what leaves the restaurant. Either way they’re 3 for 3 on serving cold food. The 4th and last time we ordered we decided to try the subs. This was a major mistake. We ordered the italian sub which came with an entire 1 piece of each meat. I’ve had meatier vegetarian subs! The tomato they used on the sandwich was nearly an inch thick. The«roasted» red peppers must have been frozen because I swear they had ice crystals on them, very cold and very mushy. I’ve given this establishment a fair shot. I’ve visited 4 times and every time I get the same cold, old food. This is sad because the buffalo style wings were insanely delicious one time, all of the other times they were horrible. I will not be returning to this pizza joint and the search continues.

I’m really disappointed to give this place a one star review because their flavors are good and their staff is friendly. However, we have had nothing but problems with our orders from here. Below is an account of our orders so you can see how often they have been incorrect. I may have the sequence a bit wrong, but the rest of the information is accurate. The first time we ordered pizza with fresh tomato and garlic parmesan crust and they delivered the wrong pizza. After a long day moving we were exhausted and hungry and didn’t even realize until they came back and told us. We had already eaten half the pizza so they gave us the one we ordered and left the wrong one. No big deal. The second time we ordered we got the same pizza and the center of the pizza was soggy and weak and fell apart. The third time, same pizza, and instead of fresh tomato we actually got CANNED tomato on our pizza. It was late and we were starving so we just dealt with it. We also had guests over and we didn’t want to make them wait another 40 min for dinner. Again the center was soggy and falling apart. Fourth time, due to the heavy, soggy falling apart mess that the tomato pizzas always were, we ordered just a cheese pizza. This time the pizza came and all the cheese had slid off it and was clumped into the side of the box. This was after waiting nearly an hour for the pizza, even though they said it would be 40 min. They delivered a replacement pizza, no questions asked, and took the other pizza back. It also took another 40 min and the replacement still had that soggy middle. Fifth time, we ordered a sicilian pizza because we were tired of the soggy pizza and asked for the garlic parmesan crust. They told us they never had such a thing, even though we order it every time and it’s even listed on their website. Strange. This pizza came somehow undercooked on top and burnt on the bottom. Sixth time, again another sicilian, we picked it up and checked it in the store and it was fine. Seventh time, back to another round pie with tomato, willing to deal with the soggy issue because it tases so damned good, but they again delivered the wrong pizza. No tomatoes at all this time. They delivered a new one and took the old one away. I kind of think they should have let us keep it since by the time we got the replacement we’d been waiting for an hour and a half. But I guess it’s unfair to judge them for that. Eighth and final time, we ordered a sicilian and they said it would be delivered in 40 min. It was 9:00 pm when we ordered. By the time 10:00 rolled around we started calling. No answer. Turns out they close at 10:00 and our pizza never showed up. We thought, someone must be there so we called over and over for a while. My husband was literally putting on his shoes to go out and get us something else when they showed up with the pizza at about 10:40 pm. I think they MUST have seen our number calling and realized they forgot. I don’t know why they didn’t just answer and tell us something, but they didn’t. They gave us 2 bags of garlic knots and rolls and such, looked like leftovers from the end of the day. I presume it was to make up for the delay, but they were not fresh, some over cooked and hard or chewy, basically poor quality. The delivery guy didn’t even apologize or offer any kind of discount. To top it off, the pizza was again undercooked. It was extremely disappointing. One might wonder why we kept going back. Well, as I said, the flavors are good and the staff has always been super polite. But I just can’t keep throwing my money at unfinished and incorrect pizzas, especially after the last order. Sorry Middle Island Pizza, but you’ve lost a customer for good this time.

I’m a humble graduate student that works near by. On Fridays for lunch a bunch of us go out for pizza. Our go to spot has been closed as of late(perhaps permanently), so we were in need of a new locale to meet our needs for Friday pizza. Middle Island Pizza has potential. It’s not particularly ground breaking, or awe-inspiring, but it’s pretty good. The prices are about right($ 4 for a specialty slice) and they offer a wide array of slices, sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes. I haven’t heard my co-workers complaining about the salads or sandwiches as of yet, so I would imagine that they too are well received. The specialty slices are big. I’ve gone twice now, and both times, every slice that we got seemed like it was that one mythical«bigger than all the others in the pie» slice. We’ve yet to find it’s corresponding«this still counts even though it’s only 3 bites» slice, so it is possible they have managed to create a normal sized pizza whose slices are more than the total pie. One«warning», occasionally they’ll have a stuffed meat pizza(which is pretty delicious), right between the other slice pies, but perhaps unbeknownst to you, that is not a $ 4 slice, that’s more like a $ 5.50 slice. And you do not need two, no matter who you are. The method of counter service at Middle Island pizza may make you feel a bit rushed/hurried, so be ready to know what you want when you step up to the counter. While I have no real complaints about the pizza here, I have no real«this is better than elsewhere» type comments either. It’s good. If you look forward to eating pizza on Friday for lunch, this place will more than adequately meet those criteria.
