I’ll give it 3 stars because it’s hit or miss, very inconsistent. One day I’ll pick up delicious Chofa de Pollo with plenty of chicken and eggs, the next time it’s a plate full of rice and no meat.

It saddens me to give this place one star. We used to love coming here, once a week, if not more. Our most recent visit was one for take-out, and we the seafood stew/soup served w rice, and grill for 2. The order took 20 minutes, we understand the meat takes a while to cook. Even though they were the same price, the portions for take out were at least 20−30% less than the portions if we ate there. Yes, there are costs associated with providing the Styrofoam foil, and plastic packing vessels, but the quantity makes everything seem very over-priced. Since we didn’t plan on eating the food at home where our plates, bowls, and utensils were, we asked for bowls, which they said they didn’t have any. I pointed to the plastic containers that they packed the rice in, but they would charge us for that. We also asked for utensils, and we were only getting 2 sets, because we ordered 2 items. There was a limit to the number of utensils we can get! And the crown jewel of this take-out experience, we found a steel wool in the seafood soup. A string of metal just floating around with the rest of the seafood. Needless to say, we lost our appetite. We barely even touched the soup, and I called them to let them know. They might not have understood, since they kept saying yes, it’s seafood. And the first answer I got to the question«can I bring it back and show you?» was«no»…awesome. We went back anyways, and they finally understood that it wasn’t supposed to be part of the soup. We got our money back for the soup, but sadly, we probably won’t be returning for a very long time, if ever.

Service has been one of the worst I’ve come by in a while. Every time I said thank you, the waiters would respond with«OK». I also found a nice long piece of hair in my sandwich. When I went up to ask for a different plate they gave me attitude and didn’t even say sorry. I’m not coming back here.

I finally had the chance to try out the food for dinner. The employee there was very pleasant and answered some of the questions I ordered the lomo saltado(beef) and the chuleta(pork chops) de la parilla with a side of maduros. The pork chops were tender and cooked perfectly. The lomo saltado had good flavor but a tad chewy in some spots. The bananas were perfectly sweet and went great with the meal. I would come back and try some of the other options here and maybe even ask what their specialties are to get a taste. Check this place out bc you may be pleasantly surprised.

Been here a few times. Every time my in laws come around that’s their go to spot. The love the seafood. The fried fish is their favorite thing to order. The also make a good fried rice. It’s called chaufa mixto which is a mix of seafood and chicken. Frankly I’ve had better. I’m allergic to seafood so I often order the chicken, it was dry and under seasoned, the skin on the chicken was soggy the rice is ok.

Great food, homemade style dishes. I’ve been coming to this place for long time and it never disappoint. Lomo saltado is my favorite flavor is always consistent and rich. The place itself is very small, and I took one start off because they take forever to prepare your food but once you get the food on your table, the wait is worth it!

While this small restaurant might not look like anything special, it sure is a hidden gem! I’ll start by saying that portions are huge! In addition to that, the food is great and I cannot wait to come back to try different items off the menu. The establishment only has about eight tables and the service can be slow if it’s crowded, but every dish is carefully cooked and the results are fantastic. Awesome Peruvian food!

I had never tried Peruvian food before. I decided to give them a chance. I’m glad I did. It is a small restaurant. We didn’t know where to park first. We parked back of the restaurant, but we found later many people just park on the road. The food was very tasty. We had beef & chicken fried rice and sea food soup. Both were huge volume. We’ll be back.

I drove by this place and decided to give it a try for lunch. I’ve had Peruvian food before so I knew exactly what I wanted, a typical dish called Lomo Soltado. I have to say I was very disappointed. The rice was hard as if it were from the day before. The meat was also overcooked and a little tough. For two dishes and two drinks, I felt that it was pretty expensive(over $ 30). The staff wasn’t very welcoming either. I’d check out a few other places before checking this place out.

A good find! After parking, we hesitated to go in but we’re so glad we did! The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is delicious. We ordered the arroz chaufa de mariscos(seafood fried rice) and the lomo saltado. The food was fresh and tasty. Probably one of the better Peruvian restaurants we’ve been to.

SHADY, they added tip for paRty of 5 without any heads up and taxed tip, told us their machine was down so they could not print the receipt, and gave us a receipt to sign and leave extra tip. Definitely check and add up your check yourself, tax is 7%. If your check is more than this, you got ripped off. Wasnt that great foodwise and the service was bad.

Food is good, portions are large, what more can be asked for? Service and décor are cozy and match the family-run nature of the establishment. I ordered the ceviche and it was tasty enough; my friend’s lomo was outstanding. Will need to visit again and order more to clarify the review – that’s praise considering I stay 30 min away when I’m in NJ.

Stumbled upon this place after shopping on rt 22. AMAZINGFOOD! We had the fried rice with steak strips. The seasoning on the rice was to die for. I had the bbq chicken strips with fried potato and corn. Light and delicious. Inexpensive and friendly service.

My brother and I were having trouble finding a place never before visited in the Piscataway area until I randomly suggested to search establishments in Middlesex. We then found Inca Grill, and our curiosity was piqued. So we decided to make the short trip out to this hole-in-the wall establishment. It turned out to be an excellent choice. In particular, the ceviche we ordered was comparable to what I had experienced at a much fancier restaurant in Miami. The meats we ordered, albeit somewhat overdone, were quite tasty. Portions were very generous as is generally expected for a Latin restaurant in this area. My coworkers and I then frequented this establishment for lunch on a later Tuesday. We, a party of roughly 11, were essentially the only customers in the restaurant save for three or four walk-ins. For lunch, Inca Grill offers a lunch special for just $ 8, which includes an appetizer of either a pork barley sopa(soup) or a vegetable medley along with a choice of three entrees(chicken, fish, or pork) and a beverage. Unfortunately, the lunch special whiteboard was completely in Spanish, and the waitress was unable to provide translations of the culinary terms. The dictionary on my phone helped somewhat, but we were mostly left to spinning the roulette wheel short of just knowing the type of protein that came with the dish. That shortcoming didn’t matter, though. Once we got our food, it was instantly recognizable and extremely tasty. I had ordered a quite large grilled chicken entrée with pesto on a bed of spinach pasta and had no complaints. Do not let the relatively low number of reviews scare you. Give this place a try before it begins to draw large crowds.

Order: huancaina potatoes, plantains, Estrella BBQ(2 people) PRO: flavor CON: attn to detail by kitchen, cost to client When I first noticed this place, I was deterred by the price tag. And, after finally trying it, I’d have to say that I wish it were less expensive. We have some leftovers(so the quantity is right), however our $$ would’ve been better spent down the street, I feel. Perhaps I just didn’t know how to order? Regardless, I think the price points are too high. As for the food, it deserves its 4-stars: tasty meats. On the other hand, the potato is sacred in Peru, and I expected more. I thought the huancaina potatoes had a nice sauce. Although Inca Grill is worth a try, going back would be a tough sell because I prefer a BBQ joint down the street for its prices, quality, flavor. I don’t think the prices match the quality, flavor — 3-stars.
