This is the worst service ever!!! They say on there website they deliver to my address, and I wait 1 hour and a half, and no food. Then they tell me they can not deliver my food. Bullsit, False advertisement on their webiste. Jerks!!!

I have ordered from here pretty regularly in the last 3 months via seamless and all of a sudden today I am «out of their delivery range». The food is really great and not badly priced. My food was always on time and hot. I never let the $ 3 delivery fee bother me. Today I am sad that I can no longer order from a place I considered my favorite lunch spot :(

So, I used to order from this place ALL the time. Love love the angry Dragon roll. I just moved back to the dunellen area from the west coast. I woke up with a huge craving for this roll. It was about 1130am(kinda early for chinese/Japanese, but the belly wants what the belly wants). I told my roomie to order whatever he wants on me. We waited over an hour and the order was messed up. My friend said the hot and sour soup was awful. Plus, the chicken with mixed vegetables dish I ordered was overly chewy. I ended up throwing most of it out. The lady who took my order was cold, not friendly whatsoever. I don’t know what has changed with this place, but I do know I will NOT be ordering from here again.

They take forever for orders, food isn’t fresh or what they advertise, spicy food isn’t spicy at all and when you ask for extra spice they charge you for it. They mess up your orders, and then when you call and tell them they argue back with you like you did something wrong. Just terrible save your money and your appetite for something more worthy than this place.

This review is based upon the online delivery service. Their UI is clean and simple to use. Please note that there is a 2 dollar delivery fee and it does not count into tips. Also the minimum amount you can spend is 10 dollars online. You then get a confirmation email that is like a receipt with the allocated time. Usually they come on the said time and have no problems via delivery. The food is pretty much your basic Chinese fare like any other restaurant of this type. Just plain average. Reason why they get a 2 star rating is because they use MSG in their foods. You would not know this unless, you go onto the«diet section«of the said site. I just wished they put more information on what ingredients they are putting into our body’s under the dish name. Ruins the trust factor.

Shogun Wok is a great little sushi place in Middlesex. I order delivery from there about once a week. The sushi is outstanding and the steamed pork dumplings on the Chinese appetizer menu are the best I have ever had.

Good food– I like the lunch specials. They put the sauces separately so you can add as little as you want. We get three or four lunch specials with sauces on side and they stay fresh until dinner.

I’m disappointed with their online ordering service. I used it precisely because the reception in my house is awful, and despite the fact that I received a confirmation email saying my order had been processed and waited an hour to account for Saturday night crowds, when I called to ask where my order was, a manager told me, «I never received it and now we’re closing, so there’s nothing I can do,» which I don’t consider good customer service. I’m just glad I didn’t pre-pay with a card.

The fact that East China closed down within the last month, we resorted to trying Shogun. Annnnd, I’m back to square-one. Taste was fine, but we found a couple of hairs. In other words, our meal is memorable for the wrong reason. They get one-star for hair in food and mediocre food. Steak tasted gamey and veggie lo mein tasted like seafood. I’d love to find a good Chinese place, but everything on Rte. 28 between Rock Ave and Mountain Ave is utter garbage.

Boy this place has gone down hill! Even just 6 months ago, this restaurant was wonderful. Now, I would beg people to stay away or risk serious food poisoning. The last time I ordered(8 weeks ago) I got their wonton soup and two sushi roll lunch. The quality had been going down a little over the previous 3 months, but but nothing to panic over. This time it was a whole new story. The soup had chunks of what I can only think is pork fat floating in it, but it had an almost fishy smell. I couldn’t eat it. Correction, I refused to eat it! My sushi was way worse though. The salmon was clearly rancid and after only half a spicy tuna roll, I thought I was going to vomit. Making matters even worse, I ended up in the ladies room an hour later with bad stomach cramps. It’s taken me weeks to compile how to write this without raging at having gotten sick. Just stay away!

I can no longer recommend this venue. I’ve been giving this place my business for years, as have my friends, as we meet weekly for a gaming venture and love a quick, easy way to keep fed. Online ordering was great, food used to be hot and fresh and delicious, delivery no more than 45 minutes, and it was worth the wait. Not anymore. Now food constantly shows up lukewarm, greasy, or incorrect. My boyfriend consistently has to ask specifically for no bok choy or whatever he orders that has bok choy included in it, is packed mostly with bok choy. And the wait is very rarely under an hour. Most recently, my order took nearly an hour and a half to arrive. I’d ordered three sushi rolls. I know a lot of you are gonna sigh and ask what I’m doing ordering sushi from a Chinese restaurant, but I can tell you whatever, they haven’t failed me before. It’s not Nagoya sushi good, but it was always fresh and tasty and filling. Well it failed me this time. Not only was my food late, but it was rancid. Two of the rolls had spicy mayo in them, so it took me halfway through to really pick up on the smell and the odd taste I was experiencing. I took one of the rolls apart and found the salmon to be discolored, with a bit of it an odd gray-booger color. I threw the rest out. I was up all night incredibly ill. I’ve attempted to contact them about the rotten food, and did not receive a response. I can’t in good conscience give Shogun Wok my business anymore, and I can’t in good conscience recommend anyone to eat there if their standards allow for rotten food to reach their customers. It is a shame because they used to be so much better.

Worst service EVER. I wish i can give them NOSTARS ! I Ordered Spicy Tuna Roll and it was GROSS and looked like it was old. It was completely speeshie just gross! I called them to see if I can get something else since I ordered 3 spicy tuna rolls and the owner gave me a problem. Started to argue with me and tell me just because I don’t think it taste good doesn’t mean everyone else does so I have to deal with it. I work at a resturant and that’s NOT how customer service works. If Someone doesnt think their quality Of Food Is Fresh Or good you make a new fresh batch or give them something else. I just can’t believe how this guy did not care. Never ordering again !

i used to order from this place and each experience gets worst and worst. Last time I ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was burnt. From the moment i placed the ordered they were rude. I am attending a convention this weekend, and for convenience sake, we decided to get Chinese food delivered to our hotel room. BIGMISTAKE. We ordered online at 7:15 pm and the estimated delivery time was 30 minutes. 45 minutes later I was getting a little bit antsy so I tried calling the place to make sure my order had gone through. Busy signal on the phone. 15 minutes later, it had been an hour since we ordered, so I tried calling again. Busy signal, and then the phone started ringing but I was on it for a minute and a half and they didn’t pick up. At that point we were way past hungry. I finally got a hold of them after about 10 phone calls and at this point it had been about an hour and 20 minutes since I ordered. They said they were very busy, but not to worry, the delivery guy had already left and was on his way. 40 minutes later, still no food. It had now been TWOHOURS since I placed the order. We were all fuming and tried a few more times to get in touch with the place. This time a lady answered and said«He is on his way», which is what they told me 40 minutes ago. He finally called me 10 minutes later and said he was in the lobby and was too busy to come up and deliver the food to the room. My friends went down to get the food and… he was not there. I called him back and he had gone to the wrong hotel. Hardly spoke a word of English either so it was difficult to tell him where the right hotel was. Even though the hotel he went to was only 1 minute driving distance away, it took him another 10 minutes to get here. 2 hours and 30 minutes later! NEVERAGAIN.

Occasionally, my coworkers and I would order lunch for delivery from this location. As other reviewers have noted, it’s a typical Chinese take out place that also happens to serve sushi. I do like the fact that the food is not overly salted, unlike many places of this caliber. The sushi is surprisingly not bad; the raw fish is not the freshest you will taste, but it’s acceptable and edible as well. For best lunch delivery service, order before noontime. Order anytime after 12:00 noon, and you will almost certainly wait 45 minutes or more for your food to arrive.
