Excellent food and excellent service, good size portions. We got the gnocchi and a shrimp dish which were both very delicious! Waiters are very attentive and very friendly. Would definitely come back and recommend

I’ll start off by saying I dined at Vincenzo’s years ago and was not expecting much going into it. Service was fine. Ordered eggplant app special and butternut squash soup. Both were fine. Salad that comes with the entrée was overdressed but not a big deal. I ordered the veal saltimbocca my wife order ravioli with meat sauce. The veal came out steaming and instantly the smell brought the thought of pancakes to mind. Yup, the veal saltimbocca smells like diner/ihop/homemade pancake with maple syrup. I don’t like making a scene or sending food back so I started to eat and discoverd the veal was restaurant depot quality. This cost $ 25? Two bites was enough to turn my stomach. «I hate to do this but I can’t eat the entrée.» Sent it back. My wife’s ravioli was below average. It never ceases to amaze when restaurants can’t make a decent red sauce. We took her food to go. They charged me 4 – 5 dollars for the house salad that came with my entrée but didn’t charge me for the entrée. Not a classy move. I don’t understand how anybody could give this 5 stars. I hated it and only gave it 2 not 1 because i am sure there is worse. On what planet is this a 5 star Italian restaurant? Woohoo! As good as it gets?! Girasole in Bound Brook is markedly better for the same price and I probably wouldn’t give them 5 stars. Never going back. Could have been worse, but most pizzerias are better.

They treated my family like VIP’s. The food was excellent, the service was even better. A dining experience you just don’t get at a corporate chain. Always looking forward to the next visit.

The last time I was at Vincenzo’s I wasn’t impressed Must have been 10 years, but Saturday Night we had a group of 14& it was Awesome!!! It was ‘Little Italy’ quality food right here in New Jersey! Stuffed Mushrooms, Fried Calamari, Shrimp Cold Antipasto All Excellent! Our waiter Carlos B. Awesome, handled the table of 14 on a Busy Saturday night like it was a table of 2, he got it All right, drinks, wine, hot & cold apps, Main Course & dessert! Ask for Carlos B.

Visited as part of a business dinner with colleagues from Toronto. Started with a family style hot and cold antipasto which could have been enough for dinner. The stuffed mushrooms and prosciutto were excellent. Crab stuffed filet was a special and the whole table ordered the same entrée. It was very good maybe a bit dry. The broccoli rabe went so fast that I didn’t get to try it. Ordered cheesecake to go for my wife which I found out was«on the house.» The service was top notch. I will definite return, sooner than later with more family and friends.

We are throwing a party for my dad and thought of this place upon a recommendation of a friend. I spoke to one of the owners, I think his name was Mario, and when I made some inquiries regarding the menu, etc, he looked very indifferent and was plain rude. You just lost a client, buddy. And to top it off, the food was underwhelming and the mozzarella carozza was oily.

This is, by far, the best Italian restaurant around :) Have eaten there MANY times and go there every New Year’s Eve… nothing starts a new year off any better than a great dinner! No complaints ever and will continue to enjoy their menu that is always changing and always homemade and everything is super fresh. It may cost a little more than you would normally pay, but it is so worth it!!!

I’ve driven past this place for years, and we finally decided to try it. Underwhelming in almost every way. DARK! Impossible to see how much salt or pepper you are adding to your food. Reading the menu was challenging — thank goodness for the tea light candles on the table. Salad was salad — not easy to mess up. Lobster Bisque was very salty and tasted/smelled heavily of tuna, although there were chunks of lobster. Entrees were mediocre at best. Dessert was good, but so cold I can’t help but think it was previously frozen. The service was fine. Waiter tried to be engaging. We won’t go back.

Have eaten here many times over the years, both for lunch and dinner. The food is excellent and the service is impeccable! The servers are very friendly and accommodating. Just ask, if you want something added or eliminated from your food selection. No need to go into detail about the food, because everything I’ve tried so far has been beyond my expectations. Be sure to make a reservation, especially during the holiday season. Buon appetito!

My company orders food from here a lot and it is always great. I love their chicken cutlets with fresh lemons, so simple and so delicious. They have large portions and prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend trying this place!

I have eaten lots of Vincenzo’s food. My sister always uses them for catering. Food is decent to very good, but I was not totally happy with my last visit . We arrived and were asked to wait in the small bar area… no bartender, so we waited. for our table about 10 – 15 min… with no drink in hand. Once seated our waiter came by dropped off bread and a wine list… thanks He came back and read off the specials… very hard to understand as his Spanish accent was pretty heavy. Did not take drink orders. He came back in a few minutes and took orders for wine but did not ask anyone else at the table for a drink order? Our kids were not sharing the wine…wine by the glass runs 8 – 10 dollars per. He came back and seemed to give a bit of an attitude when I asked him to review the specials… sorry I could not understand the first time. Apps came out pretty quick all were very good. More than enough. Salad was served family style Large serving well dressed All of the entrées were decent nothing stellar but decent food The only entrée of concern was the filet mignon, it was kind of weird they provided two steaks instead of one larger piece… it must’ve been previously frozen, was just ok Dessert — Ricotta chease cake and tiramisu — both were good not sure they were made in house however. Vincenzo’s is a good place to come and get a decent meal in a nice atmosphere. I think the early success has led them to get lazy on quality and service — I think the price is a little too high for the quality…and the help needs to be a bit more cordial… one guy seemed to grab my dish away from me when I asked for the rest of my meal to be wrapped. The next time I am in the area we will try another spot there are a few other good places in Middlesex.

This place achieves excellence on many levels!!! The restaurant is elegantly decorated in Bistro form, but I was impressed when I had called to make reservations and they told me that I could come in dressed casual in shorts. The food is off the charts good!- hot, fresh, homemade sauces and served in large portions with an abundance of pride. The complimentary bruschetta and a house salad are an unexpected tasty surprise. The service was absolutely impeccable !!! 3 servers taking orders, delivering hot food fairly quickly, refilling water glasses and bread without even asking once!!! Make no mistake– this is a upscale gourmet Trattoria. however, the prices are very reasonable. It is nearly impossible to get a perfect five star rating out of me. However, since Vincenzo’s was nearly perfect in Attitude, ambience, food quality, portion size, fair pricing, and service I have no choice but to give this beautiful place a perfect rating!!!

I COULD end this review with the simplicity of one word… WOW! But then you’d want to know WHY… so here goes… Had dinner here the other night with my brothers and their wives and friends who I have known for just about forever and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Recently I’ve been going into my meals WITHOUT looking at Unilocal reviews because I don’t want to be biased and it was a blessing this time(not because there were bad reviews, but because I went in with a completely open mind). We had a reservation for an early dinner, 5pm, and I’m THANKFUL we chose an early time because by the time we were done the line was out the door-this is a tremendously popular place and the meal we had tells me why. We started with some very simple, but delicious wines(both the red and white were very nice complements to the meals) and a number of appetizers. The stuffed mushrooms were perfectly done(not an overcooked mess like I’m used to at most places) and were so good I could easily have eaten a plate of them as a meal. We also enjoyed amazing Broccolli Rabe sauteed with roasted garlic and sausage(OMG-best I have ever had-no lie-BEST.I’VE.EVER.HAD), fried zuchinni, and Artichokes Francese(I don’t normally like artichokes, but these were delicious). Appetizers were followed up by a very nice, and simple, salad with just the right amount of vinigrette. So, after reading the menu and having my mind 100% made up, the waiter comes over to discuss the specials for the evening — silly me thinking I was going to order off the menu. Every dish he read to us I wanted to order… but I settled on the spinach fettuccini with garlic and shrimp topped with a light white wine sauce and my wife ordered the Mahi Oreganata special. I wish I had tried some of the other dishes at the table(I only remember veal parm(2) and one of chicken dishes), but I was afraid I’d get a fork in the back of my hand. My wife’s Mahi meal was a giant portion and nothing was left on the plate(Ok, I admit, I did steal some of it). My meal was so delicious, but I was able to save some for a second meal. What made mine SO good was the simple combination of flavors that came from the actual food, and not from an overabundance of seasoning. The shrimp was done perfectly and the pasta was slightly al dente as it should be for a meal like this. We finished up with some coffee and dessert(yeah, we left room). Let’s see, we had the last serving of tiramisu, or as I’m calling it ‘Heaven on a Plate’, Cannoli(my wife is very particular about her cannoli and LOVED it), a chocloate torte, and I had an almond vanilla cheesecake… and I am truly thankful I don’t live near the restaurant because I’d be sneaking in each night for THAT one. The service at Vincenzo’s, from the time we walked in the door, was as good as it gets. Not overbearing, but never wanting for anything. The highest praise I can ever give a restaurant isn’t the five stars, but a simple comment that I will be back. I don’t know when, but Vincenzo’s, I will be back. Absolutely fantastic…

Service was really good. Anti-pasto was HUGE, and very fresh! All the food was hot, flavors and texture were excellent! Not a big Italian food eater, but I’d love to go back!

Since moving here from Brooklyn, Vincenzo’s has become our«special occasions restaurant». Last Friday I brought my husband here for his birthday. My son and his girlfriend were with us. We all had appetizers, which you could fill up on if you don’t watch out. We ordered broccoli rabe with salsiccia and zucchini fritti along with the antipasto. My husband had what he always does, frutta di mare. I had veal saltimboca. The kids both had a pasta dish, one with shrimp and one with chicken. The portions are so large, we all ended up taking home leftovers. Vincenzo’s food is the only AUTHENTIC Italian food I have eaten in NJ. I can’t imagine why people bother going to any other Italian restaurant when Vincenzo’s is right here! I started writing this review and life got in the way, so I’m finishing it waaay later. We have been back to Vincenzo’s several times and it just keeps getting better. If you are looking for an intimate, old-style white tablecloth ristorante, look no further. The food is consistently wonderful and the European-style service is impeccable.

An absolutely wonderful Italian restaurant. It appears to be family owned, and the people there take great pride in the delicious food they serve. I had the lentil soup of the day to start, the Tortellini Bella Donna as my entrée and a glass of the house Cabernet. The soup was absolutely perfect(even moreso with the fresh, hot bread that I sopped up every last bit with), and the tortellini was fresh, cooked perfectly al dente, and topped with a homemade cream sauce that was tearfully delicious. My guests enjoyed the Vitello Saltimbocca and the Vitello Francese, and both of them thoroughly enjoyed their dishes as well. The service was impeccable. Five stars, unquestionably.

My perspective of this review is going to be a little bit different. I came to this restaurant because of a rehearsal dinner, not because of my own choice. however, if I had a choice, I would still choose this place, because the service was great considering the amount of people that were being served and the patience of the staff. Also, the food was awesome! The meat and cheese plate was awesome as an appetizer. Then, there is a nice simple, yet fresh salad. The next entrée that I had was the baked tilapia, when my husband had the Veal Marsala. One of my friends let me taste his veal parmigiana. I can’t say that I was upset with anything. The breading on the tilapia could have been a tad crispier, while I thought that the veal Marsala could have had a thicker sauce. The dessert(the fact that I didn’t even remember to mention it above) was average to me. Otherwise, you’re in for a good meal! If you plan to have a large group, be careful with the upstairs as the ceiling is slanted and if you are taller than 5’6″, well actually may have to crunch your head down!
