First I don’t give 5 stars almost without exceptions. We always book our functions for our club at Angelica’s Rest. We are always pleased with Carol our Event Coordinator she gets 5 stars. Wait staff is always accommodating, food is plentiful & hot when served. Our Function room is always clean & smelling great. Drinks at the bar are worth the money. We shall return!

I have had functions at Angelica’s and was very pleased so we decided to have our daughter’s college graduation dinner there. Very underwhelmed. The appetizers were given to another table by mistake. Our dinner took over an hour to be served to us and it was not very good. We were told when the dinner came out that our side dishes were not longer available for some of us. We had to search for our waitress to get the check at the meal. All in all a very disappointing night. I had filet mignon for my entrée and it was fatty and not very good. My daughter ordered chicken with a salad and the chicken was not even seasoned and very tasteless. Unforturnately, I would not consider going back.

I had not been to Anjelica’s in a few years. So tonight I brought my wife, who had never been there, to Anjelica’s for dinner. From start to finish, it was a very good meal. Our waitress(Erika) was outstanding, she answered all our questions without even a hint of annoyance or impatience. I ordered the Fried Scallops that were very good and my wife had the sirloin, which was cooked perfectly. It’s not very often that from the time you walk into a restaurant to the time you leave, everything goes perfectly, tonight was one of those nights.

We’ve had great experiences at this restaurant in the past. food has typically been excellent so we went Sunday night and the place was empty. Score, right? Not so much. There were 10 of us and we asked the waitress for separate checks between the few of us. She was unwilling to do anymore then divide the check in half, which she never did when they brought the bill at the end of the meal. for a slow night and our being the only table, she was rather unattentive. when the food did arrive, they served me instant mashed potatoes with my $ 30 steak… No wonder the place was empty on a Sunday night at 5PM. For the price, the food and service should have been much better.

Sad, used to be ok. Went in was told there was a 20⁄25 min wait but we could sit in the lounge right away and get the same service. We sat down and waited and waited, so i decided to get up and go to the bar for at least a couple drinks and was told by the bartender that someone was on there way, so i went back expecting someone and waited another 15 min. Decided to get up and go down the street. If your going to charge 34 dollars for surf and turf you should have quality service! Very disappointed

I came here the other night after reading so many bad reviews I thought it can’t possibly be that bad and I was right it wasnt. We were seated promptly and within 5 minutes our waitress was asking if we wanted drinks. After ordering our drinks they were at the table within minutes. The food was hot and fresh and the portions were great. Sounds to me that the people complaining are chronic complainers or feel that their presence is paramount to everyone else’s and they deserve better treatment. Complaining about how small a parking lot Is or the crowd at the function being too big is hardly grounds to give a bad reveiw. Life happens people, people call in sick, etc, just like at your place of work there are good days and bad days, a resteraunt is no different, and neither are you. This place was great and I’m going back soon

I thought after more than 40+ years coming here I had the absolute worse service out of all the years going out for dinner. There was a wedding going on but if you plane for it you staff for it. I had to sit in the bar next to the traffic and kids running past my table. My waitress who is the bar tender(Rania) for the entire establishment ignored us the entire time we were here. She was telling everyone she should be fired. We were waiting for 20min just to give our food order. All I kept hearing is her complain about being on here feet when the doctor said to stay off them. The bartender called in sick and she was telling everyone that came in her problem. My prime rib was well done and worse than a steak. The bottom of my dinner plate was black and stained the table cloth. I guess they placed it back on the grill to warm it up. I asked for medium. We had to go to the front and ask for a bill. Timing is everything. Good luck to you.

Choose another restaurant… food and service was awful. And after reading other reviews I can say we had a similar experience with being ignored by staff, long wait times, and food quality poor. I can see why the parking lot is empty. Don’t waste your money!

Me and my family dine here a lot, and every time we have a good experience. The staff are very friendly and we enjoy the food very much. Our waitress tonight Debbie was very personable and professional, we had a great experience with her, which is why me and my family continue to dine at Angelica’s due to restaurant staff like Debbie. The early bird specials are great! I ended up getting the London Broil tonight with a jus sauce and a baked potato as my side. The steak was fantastic and cooked to perfection. I also love how towards the evening the restaurant dims the lighting, which is a very nice touch for a romantic dinner as well. The complimentary pass around snacks are a nice touch to the dining experience, but I find that there very filling and make it so your dinner entrée is a little more difficult to finish. I would recommend Angelica’s as a good place to dine because it has high quality food at such a not so high price, and it’s atmosphere and staff are a charm to be around.

Absolutely the worse experience I have ever had to go thru in my life. First off we arrive on Father’s Day with a party of 10. They sit us in a middle table and our chairs are literally back to back against with the table behind us. We ask if we can move the table out slightly so we aren’t banging the table behind us however we are told to move to a completely new table in the back. Ok nbd. We finally sit down at our table and as I look down to the table cloth you can see it’s completely covered in mold. Im not talking a small patch I’m talking about 6 feet long down the table cloth. I call the manager over he assures me it’s not mold but it was clearly damage control. It’s was mold at its finest. Not the waitress comes over and begins to take our order. No offense she was nice and all but her hands looked like she just changed 4 tires off an old Buick. Covered in grease and grime it was so noticeable I honestly didn’t even want her to serve the food. She takes our drink order not writing a thing down and we knew she was going to mess that all up which is exactly what happened. We let that slide again not he end of the world however once we ordered food this is when it got really interesting. First off my niece got come rely the wrong ordered food. So back that goes and had to wait for the right food. Then my mom and 2 others at the table order the baked crab and I kid you not it was loaded with so many little bones it’s was incredibly difficult to eat. They manage to sift thru the bones to eat what was good. Now my nephews grilled cheese comes and there’s a HUGE piece of hair in it. Pretty dam gross. We mention to server they explain we can remove off bill if you want. At this point we want outta here and outta here fast so we agreed and finished what we could. The bills comes and I ask to look at it and realized nothing was removed for the bill and to top it off they charge for every refill of soda they give you. Who does that nowadays??? So back to the manager to go and he explains oh I actually took off a higher priced item instead so it worked in your favor. Hmm. Ok so then we were finally offered free deserts but we all passed. This place honestly has gone completely downhill. To cap off this fine evening I check my card statement online and wouldn’t you know it they charged me for everything. They completely lied about taking anything off the bill at all. They showed us a cheaper bill with item removed but still charged ya the FULL amount. They finally gave us a small GC for all the trouble but I wouldn’t use this ever again in my life. I know many of you probably think this can’t all be true but I assure you it did. All I will say is enter at your own risk and trust me if you do you will be sorry. Time to sell this place to someone who cares! Absolutely an abortion from start to finish.

We were coming back through Middleton and decided to give Angelica’s a try. We have lived in the area for 40 years and have never been. We won’t go back… We went to park the car and realized that any of the available close spots weren’t usable due to their small size. We ended up parking well away from the building. Once we made it inside we had to fight our way toward the restaurant. There was a function going on and people made it very difficult to get to the host stand. Once there we asked for a booth for two. We were led into the dining room to the perfect table! We were ready to enjoy our evening. We waited. Ten minutes later the waitress(Carol) came by with water and crackers with dip. She dropped them on the table saying she would be back. We wanted a drink and didn’t get the opportunity to do so. When she did return, we were ready to order. She asked if we wanted to start with a drink and my wife ordered a martini. I opted for the water. She looked at me like I was crazy and said she’d be back with my wife’s drink. That arrived quickly and she told us about the specials. I inquired about the price of one of them and she said, «Oh I don’t know, they’re all around $ 20.» We ended up ordering from the menu. The meals took nearly 30 minutes during which time our waitress never returned to ask if we needed more appetizers, another drink, more water — NOTHING! Other waitresses and tables were getting far better service: frequent checks and additional bread or water. When we finished our meals, there was another delay of ten minutes before our plates were cleared. It took forever to get the bill and another forever to get it picked up. We stopped at the host desk and asked for the manager. We were told«you’re looking at him.» I asked him to step aside as I didn’t want to let other people hear my complaints. We told him that the waitress was terrible. We explained that we didn’t get asked for additional drinks and nobody had ever stopped by to ask how we were doing. He asked for her name and we told him. His response: «Next time you come in ask to be not seated at one of Carol’s tables!» Good job manager. Good job waitstaff. We won’t be back. Food: 8⁄10 Service: 1⁄10 Ambiance: 5⁄10

Our family went to Angelica’s for Easter Brunch for the worst, inedible food I’ve ever had in my life. The dining room was grossly overpacked and loud, waitstaff were chippy and the buffet was pathetic: powdered eggs, overcooked gristly beef, greasy potatoes, rubbery ham and very stale baked goods, all for $ 36 a head and a built-in 18% gratuity/restaurant tax, and an expectation of an additional tip. I can’t imagine who supplies the food, prison surplus maybe. The management clearly saw an opportunity for huge profit on the holiday, and we felt completely taken advantage of. I would never step foot in that restaurant again.

I love this place. I will say that a couple months ago I did get a chicken dish that wasn’t at all great though, but I think it simple was that I thought I was ordering something else. However, if it was acceptable to sit at the table and just order drinks and wait for the delicious free rolls and chicken wings and friend dough balls to come to you, I would be there regularly. I hate chicken wings, but I could eat a bunch from here, I don’t know what they do, but I may have to smack the chef around for the recipe. The most enjoyable thing on the menu is the Sampler. I think it costs about 26 bucks and its a big dish filled with a bunch of appetizers samples. Next time I am there I’m just getting it as a meal, for the next week. There are scallops in bacon(best I’ve had in a while) bruschetta, onion rings, fried calamari(delicious) baked shrimp and even more. All in one sampler plate for 26 bucks. We got one plate for 11 people and it was more then enough. I would have been more upset with my entrée but by the time it came I was so full of the free stuff they come around with and the Sampler platter that I wasn’t even hungry. I’ve been to other functions including weddings there as well and it’s a good place to go, with a ton of parking, which most places have issues with.

Talk about complete chaos and disorganization Angelica’s was it. They overbooked on purpose and we had to wait over an hour to be seated. It was Easter and there were a lot of people, but to wait for well over an hour with reservations? When you book a reservation try to keep somewhat near the time Angelica’s. A turkey dinner that they claim is carved right from the turkey was a lie. It was sliced turkey from the deli. Horrible. The same for the ham dinner. Horrible. The lamb was thin as paper. I don’t know where they get their cuts of meat but they are the worse I have ever eaten. But that was not the worse thing that happened. The worse thing was out of 14 people at our table, two dinners had hair in them. Not just floating on top but embedded into their dinner. How disgraceful is that? The two waitresses were very nice and besides themselves with the unorganized chaos. I give Angelica’s 0 stars. I had to give it a one so I could post this. I should have known better to go back. I was there about 2 months ago and we ordered the«home cooked» turkey dinner. You guessed it, turkey from the deli. What a joke. SHAMEONYOUANGELICA’S. We won’t be back.

I was forced into coming here yet again per choice of my nana for her bday dinner. She likes eating a ton of crappy food for a cheap price. This place does not have any healthy options whatsoever. I don’t understand why you would charge $ 2 extra for 5 measly bites of vegetables? If my nana chooses to come here for dinner again I unfortunately will have the flu and won’t be able to join them.

Mrs Coot and I have been to Angelica’s several times in the past whenever we fly through, but I’ve remiss in writing a review. We took one of the little coots(and his lovely wife) and some friends there for dinner a couple weeks ago. Being a New England native but now a transplant to the Left coast, the opportunity for a good baked stuffed lobster is quite limited(at least at a reasonable price). Therefore, whenever I get back to the old flyway, I want to get as much lobster(boiled, baked, stuffed, rolls) packed away as I can. Therefore, my gastronomic experience at Angelica’s has always been limited to their signature baked stuffed lobster. Even though when we arrived there was a line, but our party of 6 was seated very quickly. The restaurant has a full bar and a varied wine list. Before the entrée arrived we were inundated with breads and«appetizers» like their amazing popovers, traditional cottage cheese and bean dip and crackers, and honey fritters. Our server was very friendly and made our visit quite an experience with her quick wit and humor. Every previous visit my experience was a solid 5 Stars, but this time I was a little disappointed. The lobster body was, as always, stuffed to the max, but this time it was a little dry and the claw meat was shriveled and stuck to the sides of the shell. Very disappointing. Looks like the lobster was either over cooked, or old, or both. Our guests said they were satisfied with their meals but the little coots were less than impressed, calling the food flat and flavorless. I’ll definitely return the next time we fly through and will update this review.

When you’re Greek and you get married, you pretty much know that you’re limited to Greek function halls. It’s not as bad as Aphrodites in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but there’s still a certain obligation. I happened to get engaged after Nandee’s burnt down and right when Jimmy’s Allenhurst was closing. That left Angelica’s as the only Greek-approved wedding venue, so the decision was pretty much made for me. After having my wedding reception at Angelica’s, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The prices were high once everything was added in, but the excellent food and exceptional service were well worth the cost. I may be biased but I think I had the greatest wedding ever and that was largely because of the fantastic venue. I’m really glad Angelica’s is run by Greeks because I wouldn’t have wanted my reception any other way.
