We stopped in en route to North Conway. I needed a Green Tea Matcha Latte fix. They concocted a nice mint version. Refreshing for sure.

Quality is usually very good, but I’ve found some inconsistencies from sandwich to sandwich(ordering the same one) in terms of how much honey mustard sauce they put on, etc. Kind of get used to a certain flavor and then next time it’s not quite the same. Still good, but you know what I mean. A little pricey, but probably worth the extra dollar or so.

I came to Sol Bean for take out lunch. I ordered the chicken pesto panini and thai chicken curry soup. The soup was tasty, I’ve never had anything like it before. You can even find shredded coconut in the soup– such a nice surprise! The décor is cozy and relaxing. The staff is helpful and patient as I peruse the colorful hand-written chalk menu. For those who are ordering take out, I highly recommend calling in to place your order ahead of time to reduce wait time. A lovely local business– looking forward to try their acai bowls and fresh juices/smoothies next time!

Have been a few times, and always really enjoyed the food(today I had a chicken salad wrap with spinach — lots of chicken, great dressing, crunchy walnuts and cranberries). BUT(and it’s a big but) the place is dirty. The counters, tables, food prep areas, cases where the muffins and bagels are displayed are just not clean. There are crumbs everywhere, and some of the glass surfaces are smeary. There was a sink full of dirty dishes, and the front of the trash was filthy. The areas around the door handles are grey with dirt and there are piles of grime in the corners of the floor. I brought these concerns(discretely) to the attention of the manager who seemed very annoyed at my observation. I’m by no means a clean freak, but if my kitchen were in this shape, I would not prepare food. If they closed for a week and scrubbed the place from top to bottom, it would be wonderful.

Awful service. They think they are in Brooklyn but can not make a hot tea in under 20 minutes.

Good food, coffee, quinoa, art on the walls… BUT… Blasting bad radio station! Commercials? Does no one have an iPod? What’s on your playlist, ladies?!

The name of this place needs to be changed to Love Shack — there is a whole lot of love in this little shack! Sol Bean is a perennial favorite of mine. So much to offer on such little footprint — tons of smoothie and juice combos, very imaginative and very tasty wraps and sandwiches, and the quinoa and yogurt bowls are made with love. Ice coffee is truly cold brewed over several days with no bitter after-taste. Oh, and they have a variety of freshly brewed hot coffee and many seasonal specials too! Everything is prepared with love — staff is very friendly and service is great.

This coffee house is close to my office and I wish I could be a regular but it doesn’t make the cut. The shop itself is quaint, welcoming and comfortable. The service is great and the menu has a lot of options. Where they lose me in the morning is the bagels. I like to have a bagel and coffee. The bagels are store bought Zeppy’s bagels and they are terrible. Why go through the trouble of offering breakfast sandwiches with organic eggs if your going to put it on a mediocre bagel? There are a number of bakeries in the area that could supply the Sol Bean with great bagels, such a shame. The coffee is quite good. The beans are roasted well so you don’t get any off flavors or high acidity. I will be back for the coffee.

Really struggling with this place. I’m new to working in the suburbs(Somerville resident), and was really excited about finding such a great place! Menu and food are just beautiful, it’s gluten free and vegan friendly — so what more could I want? The customer service is nothing short of deplorable. Several times, my juice order wasn’t even made. Another time, I paid for a large juice, and when it was finally made, I ended up with a small. It was pretty awful and watered down when it was returned to me to adjust for the size difference when I mentioned it. I just dropped $ 8.00 in there this afternoon, and while I felt fully prepared to do that on a regular basis, based on the customer service I just experienced — no thanks. I can’t tell if the staff is bored, annoyed or just lacks communication. What a shame.

I’m a new fan of Sol Bean ! Cute and Funky little spot in Middleton, right next to Maggie’s Farm. I’ve gotten Bagel with PB and Banana, Smoothies, and Wraps. I haven’t been disappointed yet, and they have many selections of smoothies, wraps, teas. It’s not some crunchy granola organic place. It’s fun and hip, and yummy ! Brings a whole new light to organic food, and how good it really can be. Parking Lot, Indoor and Outdoor Seating.

Sol Bean is the best! I’m here whenever I get the chance. I get the quinoa bowls and it’s always delicious along with gluten free sandwiches and soups. Everything is fresh and organic. Coffee is also delicious! Smoothies are also top notch!

Delicious smoothies! This place is super cute inside and the young guy who always takes orders at the front counter is always so nice. I love the vegan protein powder that they use too. I gave it a 4 star because the only smoothie that really isn’t that great is the green kale smoothie. It tastes kind of dry and has a weird after-taste. But other than that smoothie everything else is great.

Randomly stopped here while looking for a small restaurant. Ordered Acai smoothie and Meg Melt Smoothie and it was delicious. Everything was done to perfection. Highly recommend when in the area of Danvers/Middleton

Randomly stopped here for an Acai Bowl on my way home from Salem. REALLY cute place. I loved the high ceilings and colorful, cheerfulness of the décor. The menu was vast. The Acai Bowl was perfection — fresh and healthy. The prices were fair and the service was good. Too bad I live so far…

I work down the street from Sol Bean, so I’ve been coming here weekly since discovering it. I’ve never tried anything here that wasn’t fresh and filling… And maybe it’s a placebo effect, but I do find myself feeling more energized after I consume their offerings. Could just be the buzz I get from dropping ten dollars on a juice… Almost anything on the menu can be veganized. They offer soy milk, almond milk, vegan cheese, and vegan protein powder. Very cool of them. My favorites are the Jen’s Fusion Bowl, and the Purple Rain(blueberries and almond butter, ughhh) smoothie, and the Tango juice(beet based, very red, consume with caution!)

Went here with my family as a casual birthday lunch for my dad and it was great! The service was awesome, really fast and they got all our orders right. We had taken things out and added things, and they didn’t leave anything out or mess. The décor was subtle and understated, but still had the slight earthy-crunchy vibe that I think they were going for– and it worked! Totally going back if I’m in the area. Loved this place that you might overlook while driving by.

Great coffee, great food, great people. It’s a cozy little indy coffee shop that also has excellent sandwiches and smoothies. Their high protein options are wonderful as well. Give them a shot if you’re around Rt. 114

How have I not reviewed Sol Bean??? Omg I’m here every other day. As a local business owner down the street, the ladies & gents over at Sol Bean are my go to. From their amazing acai bowl(OMG) to their seasonal treats(pumpkin lattes, HOT juices), to their ever evolving menu, they are a gift. They also listen to their customers! I recently mentioned one dish wasn’t hot enough & the girls bought different hot sauces I(and other customers) can try. They are a blessing & a gift. Go try them NOW! Oh and the only«con» is the same as every other healthy delicious café, it’s not easy on the wallet… but you get even more than what you’re paying for so it’s worth it!

Healthy choices for a great start to your day! Ordered a lemon zinger juice and it was tasty! I’m a huge fan of green juices and it had the perfect amount of each veggie, and the apple and lemon masked the taste of the greens! Wished it was a tad bit on the liquid side… It started tasting like a smoothie towards the end. Got an acai bowl to eat and it was great! It’s an acai smoothie with granola and bananas and strawberries. Ask for the granola with goji berries. Delish! Great place to work at! Free wi-fi!
