This place is a hidden gem! Saturday I went with friends for lunch and the service was excellent. I had the black bean burger which was amazing. Other guests at our table ordered the cobb salad and fish tacos which were both delicious as well! I raved so much about the place that my fiancé and I actually went back the very next day for lunch. We will definitely be back! Oh… and the Sangria is to die for.

My husband and I have been to many of the Serenitee Restaurants and I was excited to try Maggie’s Farm. We stopped in on a random Wednesday night and we’re excited they have Stump Trivia on Wednesdays! The restaurant was packed, and had a short wait for a table. The décor is funky-dark wood to give you that«barn» feel, but music posters and license plates on the wall. I was impressed with the menu, as they offered a nice variety of items-sushi, salads, sandwiches, entrees. We started with the Oyster appetizer($ 15 for a half dozen), and were served some nice sized local oysters. The oysters were extremely fresh and you could tell had just been shucked. I ordered the Tortilla Salad with Chicken($ 18) which was good, but a bit pricy for what it was. It consisted of romaine, black beans, pico de gallo, avocado, corn, and cheese served in a tortilla shell. The Tex Mex ranch dressing didn’t have much flavor, and my avocado was hard as a rock-I could even put my fork into it. Overall I’d say the salad was good but not the best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Tostada($ 25), which was a very nice meal. It was seared perfectly and had a lot of flavor. The same marinated tomatoes were interesting and it was overall an interesting dish. For dessert, we ordered the skillet baked chocolate chip cookie, which was topped with Richardson’s ice cream and that was super delicious! It was definitely the best part of our meal! Our server was sweet, although had a lot of tables so we had to often seek out her attention rather than have her attend to us. Overall, we had an enjoyable meal while playing trivia and that will likely bring us back.

What a cute place! It’s busy for a reason. Everything is fresh and good. The service is quick and friendly. I had the fish and chips which was good but the batter is a little too thick for me. That’s my fault. I knew it said beer battered but ordered it anyway. French fries are amazing! Of course we had the tater tots that were delicious. They’re not so much a tot as like a potato ball. Dessert was perfect, chocolate chip cookie in a skillet!

Quaint, upbeat place on the North Shore. Right around the corner from my parents house, so it’s a nice place for catching up when I visit. I like that the menu is diverse. New American, but you can also have sushi. Best of both worlds! My favorite plate is the mussels. I know it’s listed as a starter, but it’s large enough to have as a dinner with a sushi roll. The drinks are always fun and creative, while keeping a few staples on hand. They make a mean margarita, and my mother loves their Hot N’ Dirty Martini. Overall this place is great, the only down side is due to its small size, catching a table/spot at the bar can be difficult. And it also gets very noisy.

The food was outstanding, my husband got the Bacon wrapped meatloaf which came with loaded mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked broccoli. He still thinks of the meal and craves it!!! We also got the nachos w/BBQ chicken(they offer BBQ pulled pork, so they were also able to make the chicken BBQ too). They were amazingly all crunchy, not 1 soggy one(not that we could eat them all as the plate was ENORMOUS). The condiments of guacamole and sour cream were plentiful(nothing worse than just some chips and cheese and nothing else). The reason I couldn’t rate this restaurant as a 5, as the food would get a 5… was the wait and business/crowdedness of the restaurant. The first time we tried to go on a Saturday and got there at 8pm, they asked if 80 minutes was too long to wait to be seated… um YEAH it is. Needless to say, we tried again the following Saturday this time at 6pm(very early for dinner for us as we have no kids) and we still had to wait 40 minutes. And there really isn’t any place to wait, as there is a hulking bar that wraps around on the right when you first walk in. There are a couple of tables surrounding the bar, where I guess you can order food, but my husband didn’t want to do that… so due to the lack of space to wait and business to get seated, I took the rating down to 4 stars, but the food alone would be 5 stars.

Phenomenal. We love a couple Serenitee restaurants, but have been largely unimpressed by most of the others and have steered clear for a while. This was a fantastic surprise! Fun blend of traditional wood and hip artwork, good service and amazing food. The best sushi at any Serenitee restaurant, and BBQ to die for. The homemade sauce was great. Good beer selection, though I would have liked to see a little more on draft. The cocktails looked great, but I did not try any. I will definitely be returning.

Another excellent restaurant from Serenitee! This one is cozy and casual, not too noisy but friendly and warm. The ambience is very relaxing. Kelley, our server, took exceptional care of us, including making a birthday special for one in our group without our even making a special request. The menu is eclectic and the food fresh and pretty. We had sushi, pizza and calamari(because we were snacking after work). Birthday boy had an insanely decadent brownie sundae that he pronounced«excellent.»

There was a long wait to be seated but finally found a place at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The good was ok. I had the steak tips and they were chewy and parts were fatty.

Our favorite hometown place to eat. We prefer to sit at the bar because the bartenders are always friendly and it’s a better place to people watch. Food has always been great. They do change up the menu a few times a year. Love the burger and fries with a side of Maggie’s sauce for dipping and the meatloaf. Get a blood orange margarita at some point.

Still trying to figure out the rave reviews about this place. Bought an around the world card(which offers an appetizer at each of the Serenitee Restaurants) through a non-profit auction so decided to stop in around 1 p on a Friday. It was fairly quiet so we took a seat at the bar. The bar tender/waitress was not very friendly at all. Brought 2 menus, a sushi list and asked what we wanted for drinks. No «hello how are you» «have you been here before» nor did she ever smile. Noticed she was pretty much that way with everyone. We decided on the baked(vs fried) fish taco appetizer with the sour cream on the side, the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and my friend requested the blue cheese crumbles on the side and an order of the hand cut fries. It didn’t take very long for our order to arrived and everything came at the same time which was fine by us as we intended to have the fish tacos as our lunch«entrée» anyhow. The hand cut fries were great! The fish tacos were bland and didn’t even look appealing, served over a double layer of soft tortilla shells. It was rather difficult to eat, nothing exciting. The cobb salad was good; however, my friend did find blue cheese crumbles mixed in her half of the salad… not sure if it was accidentally put in and then scooped out as it did not appear that any of it spilled out of the small container when it was delivered. That totally ruined her experience with the salad as she despises«stinky» cheese. Total tab with water as drinks, excluding tip was around $ 31. Another«meh» experience.

I have been here a handful of times and have not had a bad meal yet! Everything tastes so fresh and delicious. The Shepard’s pie is the ultimate in comfort food. If you order this, don’t eat too many apps because it is SO filling. The range of choices is spectacular. You can order anything from freshly made sushi, a cobb salad, or a pulled pork sandwich. I have a hard time deciding! The atmosphere is cozy and rustic. You feel right at home when you’re there. Their desserts are also wonderful. We are new to the area and so happy to find this place as a new go to.

Maggie’s Farm is just OK in my book. Food is OK, service is OK. I’ve only been a few times but still Maggie’s is not the first spot to come to mind when I want a bite and a beer.(Side note, WHY do they serve sushi? Why why why? This is so confusing and out of place for me. Is this a diner [that is what Unilocal lists it as]? A pub? A sports bar? A sushi house? I have no idea.) I prefer sitting at the bar which I think is the way to go, here. I also came for dinner one time and there was a live band( Unilocal also lists Maggie’s as a music venue). Cool concept but again, *common theme* it seemed very out of place. I think Maggie’s could be great if they could just figure out what kind of restaurant they REALLY want to be, instead of trying to be 5 different things at once.

Came here yesterday with husband and 1yr old for early dinner. Our server was attentive no complaints there. The food was just really really bad. We got fried pickles and the Tater tots. Heavy and greasy. I plain didn’t like the pickles. The tots were ok but would not order again. The dipping sauce for the tots was delicious. But it basically was sour cream. Husband got steak tips. Over cooked and run of the mill sauce. Mash again was heavy and greasy. Greens beans at least were fresh and still had bite. I got the Cuban. The pork in it had nice flavor but was just so so greasy. The bun was immediately soggy. Besides being disappointed we both immediately felt sick after eating. The meals did not settle well. We LOVE the serenitee group restaurants so this was especially a let down for us. Do yourself a favor and go to Alchemy or Hale Street instead. Maggie’s needs to realize ‘comfort food’ does NOT mean soggy and greasy. I’ve had a better meal at the 99. And the portions were meager for the size. $ 20 + for 4 smallish tips? If they were amazing, sure. But they weren’t.

We were at Maggies recently and had the best time. Being our first time at this restaurant, we weren’t sure what to order. Caroline, the bartender, made excellent recommendations for both drinks and dinner. If you’re looking for a casual atmosphere with good, friendly service and tasty yet affordable drinks and dishes then this is the place! We tried the artichoke dip to start and the beet salad and meatloaf for dinner. My only recommendation is to provide GF burger rolls and wraps.

We found this gem a few weeks ago… I ordered the Greek salmon, my son had a Cuban sandwich & my hubby ate a chicken sandwich. Everything was amazing the first time we went. The second time we went, we ordered scallops & a chicken sandwich. It took over an hour to get our food and it wasn’t too fabulous. Everything was over salted and dried out. We will give it a second chance because it has so much potential. I am hoping they were just having an off night!

The price was not worth the meal. Ordered chicken Tortilla salad and calamari and both were subpar in quality with burnt chewey chicken that had the taste of grill tar. I would hope the dinner menu would be better but would never come back for lunch again.

This review is based on food only, as the service was fine. We ended up coming here because the place next door was closed for labor day. I ordered the fish tacos with a side of fries, my hubs ordered the pasta carbonara and our friends ordered the calamari and the tortilla salad with chicken. Fish Tacos– baked cod no flavor whatsoever. The aioli on top also had little flavor so it was extremely bland. Fries– Bland and gummy, I ate them simply because I was hungry. Pasta carbonara– so much sauce and flavor wasn’t good. It was over powering Calamari– mostly hot peppers breaded and deep fried with very little calamari mixed in. Salad– chicken came out burnt and salad dressing was very bland. Bill came to 68 dollars for lunch… all of us we’re unsatisfied and feeling somewhat sick because food just didn’t sit well. All in all overpriced food, no quality and quantity is also lacking.
