We ordered takeout at 8:10 p.m. and were told it would arrive in 30 minutes. It did not arrive until 9:55 p.m. The food was average at best. The crab rangoons were hard and lukewarm. The chicken fried rice tasted old and re-heated. My friend threw up afterwards. It’s safe to say we won’t be ordering from here again. If there was any possible way, I would give this establishment zero stars. Please. Do yourself a favor, and order from Wangs.

Pleasantly surprised, and will return as my favorite Chinese restaurant in Middletown, CT. I recently chose to get their trays for Christmas Eve and they prepared the food at 3:45 for me to pick it up at 4:00. Everyone enjoyed the fresh hot food, and their portions left plenty for everyone, and some leftovers too. Their take on chicken and broccoli has a whiter sauce, and much better taste than the tired old brown sauce.

Very disappointed. This place used to be better. Much better. I ordered a beef lo-mein dish that had virtually nothing in it but beef and spaghetti noodles. Hardly a vegetable in sight. Their fried rice is equally anemic. The only thing that is passable is their pork egg rolls. Their pepper steak(husband ordered it) was a lot of peppers and onions and not much else. Seasoning was bland and just outrageous that minimum order for delivery must be 20.00. Not a fan and will not order again.

Finally stopped in with the girl and had a couple of entrees — — steamed chicken, chicken and broccoli, wonton soup, steamed dumplings, and an egg roll — — all for about $ 20. Great service. Excellent food. I’ve no real complaints. Upping my review to four stars.

On the recommendation of fellow Unilocaler, Jason L., I finally visited Fortune Garden. I’m sorry to report, that nothing blew my skirt up. The portions and prices are standard, and so was the food. My husband and I shared all of the«bad for you, fried foods»(Egg Rolls, Chicken Fingers and Crab Rangoon). I had the Chicken & Broccoli and my husband had the Egg-drop Wonton Soup. The fried foods were done nicely. They were fried to a nice golden color. They weren’t burnt or too dry inside. The Crab Rangoon was a little too sweet for me, but they were good. Proud to say, that neither of us ate much of the fried foods. I was told that the soup was very good. There were green onions in the broth, which my husband thought was a nice surprise. My Chicken & Broccoli started out good. The sauce was light and tasty. The broccoli was fresh and firm. The chicken was, well… you know, chinese food chicken. I was fine with this, until I hit the crunchy bit. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. We’ll definitely be giving this place another shot.

The delivery took over an hour and the food was terrible. It was very bland and I would not recommend it. The description of the Chow Mein was not what it actually was. It was very disappointing.

Me and my boyfriend always order from here. They have a broccoli chicken to die for, I always get white sauce if you haven’t tried it please do ! We normally order take out but if we are in the area we drop in. They have a nice pot of hot tea and everyone is always kind. Love this place ! Give it a try.

Average chinese takeout place that has food that tastes like every other average place. Neither bad nor good. Vegetables over cooked, but the verdict is: Edible! That’s more than I can say for many places, so that’s a plus star from 1.

local run of the mill take out and delivery chinese joint. wish there was more vegetarian options. general tso tofu was good, but had no broccoli or visible pepper, not too spicy. «donut» appetizer was weird — little fried sugar donuts that tasted like fried wonton. in a pinch, this is as good as any other chinese place in middletown.
