I have been coming here for years, it’s simply the BEST bakery in the area. Around the holidays, friends and family request I bring cookies, cannolis, and 7-​layer cookies from this bakery. They are always fresh and amazing. Please don’t waste your time going anywhere else, you won’t be sorry! Try a raspberry kiss!

This bakery truly is as good as it gets! This is the best bakery in the tri state area! Better than anything I’ve had in NYC! Fabulous pastries, cookies, and cakes. I come here a few times a month and I’m never disappointed.

I bought a large cheese danish for a holiday brunch on the Sunday after Christmas (December 27).
It was so dry and stale I could not serve it to our guests and had to throw it out.
However, some of the rougalah I bought there was delicious!
A good bakery would sell fresh baked goods and remove stale items or warn customers and discount.
Glad I picked up some addition baked goods at Dearborn.

There cookies are awesome the jelly flavored ones remind me of my youth in Nyc n around Brooklyn as a kid so fresh just crumbles in ur mouth. Highly recommend I been to places in staten n other parts of jersey near by n Brooklyn not even close.

Went there yesterday to get some pastries based on their reviews on Unilocal.I ordered some miniature Italian pastries and rainbow cookies. On my first bite of one of the Italian pastries I found a hair. I didn’t even bother trying out the rest. My sister was the one who tried out the rainbow cookies («good») and some of the other pastries («we’ve had better»). I will not be returning.

I came here to pick up my friend’s wedding cake. They were on schedule, incredibly helpful, AND the cake was amazing. The store itself has an old school feel, with displays of colorful yummies and a bakery smell to die for. It’s probably a good thing for my jeans that I’m not local, since I’d want to work my way through their cookie selection on a daily basis.

I couldn’t be happier with the kindness of the folks at J&M. I was in a pinch needing a birthday cake to be delivered to my Dad in Red Bank (I live elsewhere) and found J&M through Unilocal.They couldn’t have been more gracious and helpful and happy to go the extra mile to accommodate my family. After trying the big name newcomer, I thought I’d try this one. Ordered a handful of items (napoleon, rugalach, linzer tart, and cannoli) and I was very pleased. Fresh, delicious, buttery. The staff was pleasant and the prices reasonable. I eyed a few other things that I want to try like sfogliatelle, and foccacia. I’m especially interested to see if they can do crusty breads as well as pastries. More later!

There’s an old school charm to this bakery, for sure, and I’ve always found the staff to be helpful and pleasant. While businesses come and go in this area all the time, J&M is a mainstay.
From the breadsticks, to the cakes, to the pignoli cookies, everything they make is fantadtic. The rainbow cookies here are far and away the best I have ever had. The celbrity chef who opened a bakery in Red Bank may want to stop in here to see how they should be made.

Definitely the only place in Middletown to buy any type of baked goods. Their focaccia, cannoli and cheese cake are as good as any I have ever had!

Jersey City, NJ
The owners are from Brooklyn and they make legit cookies and pastries here. Everything is always fresh and everyone is always friendly. Get the cream puffs with french cream. Their raspberry filled cookies are always filled with a thick layer of jelly and they never skimp. If you can’t get to a bakery in NY then come here.
