Midtown Pizza

The pizza was not very good for its high price. When I was babysitting, I was told to order from here. When the guy got to the front door, he gave me my total, and told me, «and that’s not including the tip.» I was about to take the pizza and throw it in his face. Instead I just gave him some cash, and closed the front door.

Food is good, has a dining area and a bar area. Has take out with delivery as well, prices are reasonable. There are specials and sometimes 2 for 1 specials. Service is fast, kid friendly dining with kid choices on menu. Easy to find with ample parking.

Sat at the bar last night hoping to get dinner, no bartender in sight. Waited three minutes, she got up from the table beside me where she had been complaining loudly to a friend. (assumed both were customers) Got my beer, wasn’t offered a menu. She returned to her seat and continued to berate the management. Finished my beer and left, bought a sub down the street.

Third time being here. Food is good but the service is absolutely horrible. The bartenders are NOT personable. I had to ask on two visits to order food. The only thin these girls want are tips without earning them. They are younger, college girls but certainly should converse with the customers not huddle at the register waiting for an empty glass. And at times that’s a challenge to get another drink.

I came in to get something quick, maybe a slice of Pizza. There was only seating at the bar. I had to sit next to an alcoholic who stunk up the place with his beer breath, constantly moving about the bar, in and out on the cell, rough-​housing with a friend, trash talking women, etc etc. The cook emptied a 5 gallon bucket of waste water out the front door. It took 10 minutes for the food to come (I only ordered loaded fries and a coke). The fries were very very dry, cheese was gross, and there may have been a tiny flake or two of bacon. I will not ever be coming back here again. Sadly, I had to give it 1 star. I wish it could be lower.

been here twice, that was enough to know we won’t be going back. food was average at best. service was bad. too expensive for what you get.

About average. Nothing special. The usual Central Pa pizza and sub fare. And they, like so many others out here, use pizza dough for their hoagies and cheese steaks.
As a Philly boy, Let me say one thing about cheesesteaks: if you’re going to call yours a «Philly» cheesesteak, you need to get the roll (noted before) and cheese right. The proper cheese for a Philly cheesesteak is either whiz or provie. Not American. Blech. And the sauce was a bit too sweet, but that’s the least offense committed here against cheesesteakdom.

We decided to try this restaurant for dinner the other night. I got a slice of pizza and a stromboli. The food was huge and the price was not bad. I thought the pizza was alright, and the stromboli was great. The waitress was friendly and the service was not bad. When we were leaving, the four of us got in to my car, and I started backing up. Their pizza delivery guy had just gotten back from a delivery (I’m assuming). He parked his light red pontiac vibe across from me. I backed out normally, didn’t do anything wrong that I knew of. As I’m driving away, I see him in my rear view mirror, walking across the road in front of the restaurant, with his middle finger in the air. I pulled my car to the side (about 30 feet away from him) and rolled my window down. He yells «F— you! You’re a little b — - you piece of sh — !» And he’s just yelling obscenities at me left and right. I just said «you too buddy» and drove off.
I called the manager later that day and described the incident. She apologized and said she’d have a talk with him. I don’t know what pissed him off because we didn’t do anything. After driving past the other day, I noticed he still works there. I’m surprised that they tolerate this kind of behavior with their employees. There were several people who saw it, too. I will not be returning.

I am not sure why this place has 3 stars. I got 2 slices to try out after getting groceries nearby. One for my mom and one for me. Well, the slices were HUGE! When I got home, mom and I split one first.
The pizza was taste-​less, oily, and had too much cheese. The crust was too chewy. There are alcoholic beverages lined up all over the restaurant — it’s a sports bar too — I guess people don’t notice the taste of what they are eating since the alcohol and beer must drown it out.
I actually regretted buying the second slice. I am so glad I didn’t order a pie and didn’t spend more than $ 5 here. Will never go back!

For the second time this restaurant didn’t accept the Doubletakeoffer that they signed up to offer. The first time they actually let us order and when they brought the food informed us they wouldn’t take it. This time, an attempted take out order didn’t happen as we were told that only the manager could accept our deal and that they were leaving. Really!

I am a regular customer of midtown pizza… Today I decided to get takeout and bring it home to watch the Super Bowl… My Super Bowl dinner was penalized due to my take out being substandard! Long story short I got the chicken Marsala dinner for my wife … As I have done before … And there was no pasta with the dinner… I called to ask if it came with pasta and the person said no… So I told him we got the se dinner in the dining room less then a month ago and his reply was sometimes they give pasta to dine in guests but not all the time!!! Are u kidding me… A scoop of pasta costs 24 cents and they are going to cover up their mistake with a lie… Just lost me as a customer!!!

Came in ordered a cheeses steak waited for 10 mints. Didn’t even have it on the grill. They don’t speak English here so make sure your very clear. Too many other place to go with cheaper prices.

Decent sub shop. Well, used to be. The subs are terrible now! They are small and they raised the prices! I can list at least 6 – 7 other sub shops in the area that are 10x’s better! What a horrible experience! The wait staff was unkind. We ordered a round of drinks and she brought us the check without even asking and had to tell her we were staying to eat! How rude! I usually don’t rate anything this low but this place needs to pick things up quickly. Or I see an end to a great thing in the future.

From the outside this restaurant looks tiny but you’ll be suprised by the size of this place. There’s a nice little bar, and the lighting is relaxed. The interior décor is pretty fancy. (Well looking at their sign and comparing it too the interior). This place definitely got me off guard.
They have more than just pizza. My roommate and I ordered their calamari, which was excellent. And we got their Hawaiian style pizza which was delicious. The pizza is more like the authentic style crust, and did I mention they handmake the dough? It’s good stuff.
I’ll definitely becoming here more, now that I know its not a shady pizza place.
