Sonic Drive In

Omg I got a cheese burger with the works… so messy… so juicy… what a sloppy delicious burger. One of the best that I’ve had in years!!! The regular french fries were so so. Service with the girls. on the skates… pricelss.

If you are planning to split your meal between a card and cash, or even two cards, do not. We asked if we could through the drive thru and they said only if we parked and ordered from there. So when we did that, they made us hop out of the car and order from the car hop spot next to us so we could both pay for our own meal.

Just went threw the drive thru I’ve never experienced a more rude girl in my life rude snotty no personality at all I will think twice about going there again. She did nothing but cut me off and ignore what I was trying to tell her I think they should really look over their hiring policies.

The staff is incredibly well trained and courteous. I have been consistently surprised by how willing they are to go the extra mile without even being prompted. This is by far the nicest, most dedicated fast food staff I have ever experienced. They take their jobs seriously and treat their customers with respect. Food is pretty good too all things considered.

I discovered Sonic Drive In when I used to travel a lot. They were well represented in the Mid-​West and Southern States. In fact I have travelled to towns where the only place to eat was Sonic. The Middletown Sonic is the 2^nd one in the area. The food is what it is and I would not eat there consistently. The service is quick and I usually sit on the tables rather than use the car hops since I do not like eating in my car.
The burgers, shakes and tots are the go to items. Really cannot go wrong. The hotdogs are just Ok and I would go somewhere else if I was going to get a dog.

I was prepared to give this place a better rating, but then the truth set in. I had wondered what the hell other reviewers were talking about and why they were being so cruel to this location. While I didn’t go through some of the things in these reviews, I can say I believe most of the other reviews now.
Living in NY, I don’t have too many Sonics in an acceptable driving range to go out of my way for. So I happened to be in the area and figured I’d try another location after the hit or miss I’ve experienced with Sonic before.
I placed my order for myself and my companion and within maybe 2 minutes, the food came out to the car. I assumed at that point that the order was not at all made to order (despite requests for no mustard and such on the burger) and probably was sitting there. It wasn’t even busy in this lot, so there must have been a lot of food sitting there until someone would maybe order something.
But ok, as long as it tasted like decent fast food it shouldn’t matter right? I ordered one of the hotdogs — the bacon certainly was made probably hours ago and kept warm and it was crispy as hell… but not in that good way. The cheese tasted like it came out of a can or bottle, but ok. The hotdog was edible enough, but just tasted like the toppings weren’t fresh. The bacon burger was ok — a little more than lukewarm but acceptable and they got the order for no mustard, but the bacon still tasted hours old.
The fries however… tasted like they were at least a day old and just heated up in a microwave. I’ve never had to throw out my fries in any fast food place before, so this is a first. I mean, how do you actually mess up fries? Seriously, they tasted as they would if you were to order some, put them in your fridge, and then heat them up the next day in the microwave. But we both had to toss ours out.
The candy slush my companion ordered was actually pretty good.
The waitress was friendly enough.
The Sonic credit card machines on the menu board seem to work about half the time — a problem I had with other Sonic locations.
I’ve been to less than 10 Sonics ever — the ratio isn’t that good for the company and I’m getting sick of trying.
This location needs new management and a complete overhaul.

I’ve gone here for lunch/​dinner sometimes as it’s very close to my place of work, but I will never go here again. Not only is the food awful in quality, but the workers are slow and lackadaisical. The last time I got chicken fingers from there, I found a hair in between the last two pieces after I already ate one. My disgust forced me to throw up and I threw out the rest of my food. What a waste of money. I’ve never been back since. Spare yourself and go some place else.

This Sonic is in Middletown. I only come here on weekends after I’ve had a grueling work out at Work Out World about a mile away. The two even each other out, right? RIGHT???
I usually get the double bacon cheeseburger meal (#3 I think) with fries and a drink. I pray to the fast food gods that they’ll ‘accidentally’ drop a tater tot or two in my bag. I’ve never sat down outside at Sonic. I’ve only ever gone through the drive through, cuz I prefer to go home and shower after my workout before I devour my lunch.
Out of habit, after getting my food, I pull forward and check my burger. More than once they’ve given me the completely wrong burger. They’ve done a better job the last few times I’ve gone. Perhaps they were working the kinks out of their system when they first opened up. I’ve had no issue of late, but I’m still wary of them giving me a different burger. I need my burgers to have bacon! Don’t you dare give someone else my double bacon cheeseburger!

This place is terrible. My friends and I got fool proof meals, pop-​corn chicken and tots. We waited a good 25 min and once we got our food it was cold, frozen in fact. I paid with cash and had about seven dollars of change that was supposed to come back to me, but the server took my money and turned around to go back into the main hub. I guess he thought delivering frozen food by foot (not roller scatting) was some serious ordeal. This sonic is absolutely terrible with the food and service to match. Never again. Now the employees might say I guess you shouldn’t eat shit food, but I guess the managers/​owners shouldn’t hire shit employees.

First off the address is wrong. It’s in Middletown on the corner of harmony road. Regardless DONT GO.
I’ve been here a few times. Typical crap. Today was the last straw. I don’t care how thirsty I am, I’m done.
All I wanted was an iced coffee. A large one. Took 10 minutes in the drive thru. When I got
To the window, «Jeanine» had to ask a third time what I wanted in my coffee.
I paid and I drove away. I got to my appointment down the road, and realized the cup was full of ice, with no coffee. This girl was so oblivious to everything that I ended up with a cup of ice. No wonder it’s never busy.
Seriously, skip it. Go anywhere else.

Went here a few times and was no a happy person. Everytime I take it home because I go through the drive thru the food is cold. The fries are always looking like they were not cooked enough. The prices are not cheap. There is never an adult working there, there is always kids working there. I will not go back again. This place is a waste of my time.

Been here 3 times. Every single time my burger was cold. No idea what’s going on here but the quality is so lacking. Doubt I will give this specific Sonic a fourth chance.
Just go across the street to Wendy’s. Much better quality, which doesn’t say much.

Placed my order and no one ever delivered it! Sat waiting in my car for close to 20 minutes. Hit the buzzer and found out that they had lost my order. Never again!

Not satisfied seemed the worst of the worst of fast food. Heart attack by roller skate service.
