I sought Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy almost two years ago. I had originally signed up my soon-to-be 4 year old daughter up to a gymnastics class. She loved doing the activities, but had no concepts of taking turns and was having entirely too much fun running around in circles, not learning anything. I was paying for her to not learn anything and no one was correcting her. I later realized that she was unfocused and signing her up to Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy was something we definitely needed in our lives! At first, there was an adjustment period. My daughter was not used to a VERY disciplined environment. There were times where she had to watch class and pout and even sometimes cry. However, the end result was that it made her want to participate and be a part of the community. As the months went by she fooled around less and less and wanted to try harder and harder. It took time, but we stuck with it and she feels more confident and proud because of it. My daughter loves her teachers. ALL of them. She learned to address them formally and in turn, learned to speak respectfully to all other adults and authority figures. She learned that there’s time to work and a time to play. And most of all, she learned martial arts that helps her with her day to day life. Now that she is in kindergarten, she is much more focused in class than I could ever imagine, despite being full of energy. She is protective of her friends with special needs. She has the confidence to stand up to «bullies» and the knowledge to know when it is appropriate to defend herself. She has a strong sense of right, wrong and responsibility, and I contribute a lot of that to this Academy. This school also has an amazing community. I know many parents who wait for their kids during class look forward to the fall season when new students arrive. There’s a PTA to raise money for students struggling to afford tuition. I have seen many friendships and support systems made between parents in the school. There area also several community events where parents and students will come and support the school. So if you’re looking for a great after school activity for your child that will give them focus and confidence, I would HIGHLY recommend this school!

If I could give them 10 stars I would! This place is amazing and is doing a SIGNIFICANT difference in my kids life. Sifu Daniel Ostrow, Sijeh Sarah Sponzo and all the senior instructors are really committed to the success of their students. My son started at the academy when he turned 5 years old and my daughter was just 4 years old when she started. Now he is 9 and she is 8 and will continue to be part of this wonderful family(because that’s what we are at Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy) for many years to come. If you want to learn REAL Kung Fu, give Sifu Daniel a call. You won’t regret it!

Tat Wong is the best! I’ve been a member there for close to 2 years, and my 5 year old boy is also a student. Sifu Daniel is as good as it gets. He runs a very respectable program. He commands nothing less than the best from his staff of top-notch instructors, who are all outstanding individuals in all aspects of life. If you’re looking to study martial arts, get in great shape, and have fun while doing it-go talk to Sifu Daniel today!
