Very dissatisfied. The dish came with the wrong sauce and the waitress/bartender didn’t care. In addition, there was no flavor to the meal. It’s a Mexican restaurant. Are you afraid of spices? The slice of jalepeno is not a spice. I don’t even view it as garnish. Will never go back. Waste of money and time.

Literally not a Mexican restaurant. The service was good and friendly, a tad slow in the kitchen, but I ordered the dueling enchiladas. My thought that I would get two really good flavorful sauces, and instead I got the wrong filling, very little sauces and everything was boring! The rice(my favorite part) tasted like it was just mixed with tomatoe paste :-( The enchiladas with the Verde sauce and the red chile sauce were missing so much flavor, it reminded me of a dumbed down version for picky American eaters that don’t like spice. My recommendation is for this place to step it up and don’t be so generic! Untill then go to Leo’s market on broadway for some good tasting tacos. :-)

The first couple times I went to Tito’s I didn’t exactly love it. The service sucked and the food came out wrong. After moving back to the area we decided to give it another try. I love this place now. The food comes out quick and it’s good. I wouldn’t order drinks from here because they’re way overpriced, but that’s Newport for you. The fried ice cream is literally the best fried ice cream I’ve ever had, definitely get some. They bring out chips to start the meal, which is nice. I usually order the tacos, which are good. The staff seems to be a lot better now than it used to be. The meal prices seem to vary, which is kind of odd. I’ve gone there a few times and ordered the exact same thing, yet the total always seems to be different. Overall a good, quick, cheap(minus drinks) place to go and grab a bite to eat.

The food was probably the worst in Newport It all appeared pre heated and had little flavor. It doesn’t get a 1 because it was clean and not a health concern.

I was craving some chimichangas so I stopped her I sat at the bar and the bartender /waitress was very friendly and helpful. She definetly had some regulars there and knew what everyone was drinking. I got some complimentary chips as soon as I sat. I had a sangria and it was delicious. It wasn’t too boozy or too fruity. It was also reasonably priced which is great since some Places charge an arm and a leg for it. I had a few different chimichangas and all were good. The ingredients were fresh and had lots of flavor. My food came out hot and quick. The prices were great. It cost me about 24 $ with tax and tip. Not bad for a huge meal and tummy drink. If you like Mexican this is a great option for you to try.

The fake green cactus outside tells you exactly what you will find inside: great TexMex food. The service is excellent and the food is what it should be. The chicken mole(chocolate sauce) is a delicious classic, but it’s hard to go wrong anywhere on the menu. Nice warm chips are brought to the table. The fresh guac is also worth having. Every time I drive through Newport someone in the car asks if we can go to Tito’s. It’s hard to say no.

Great food great service. Try the skinny margarita or the baja fish tacos. Very close to Newport but not too close there’s no hassle of finding parking or walking too far.

PROS: Good service, good jalapeño poppers. Good chips and salsa as well. CONS: The food is mediocre. Had a Carne Asada burrito. It was soggy and not enough meat inside. Not very good.

Save your money & go to Chipotle. This is by far THEWORST Mexican food I’ve had. Chipotle isn’t even authentic Mexican but it beats this place by 100%. Oh also it’s on the more pricier side as well. Never again will I come here. YUCK

Over priced and not worth the trip, if you’ve had good Mexican food this place will let you down. Everything taste bland from the rice to the burritos. But they do have something’s going for them like they’re margaritas $ 12 but worth is they pack a punch and they’re fries(yes they serve fries lol) are the best. If anything I’d come back just for those two.

This is a solidly good American Mexican restaurant. Bar is great. Lots of regular local patrons eating & drinking at the bar. Chips & Salsa server immediately! Service is prompt, and super friendly! I had the MEXICANCOMBOPLATTER: Pork tamale Chicken enchilada Chile Relleno It was a generous portion. It came with refried beans & Mexican rice, side of salsa & sour cream. I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t fancy schmancy but a good solid American Mexican combo platter. No canned meat! Interior is *clean* & has great kitschy Mexican memorabilia! It had a very casual relaxed friendly atmosphere. The Margaritas were well made & tasty! I will definitely be patronizing this place when I am in Middletown area.

Always a great place to stop when on the island. There is such a nice variety of margaritas to choose. My favorite is the skinny with fresh lime juice. The fresh chips and salsa are terrific, but ask for a side of chipotle sauce for dipping. Such a great addition for dipping. The empanadas are fresh and plenty for two.

This place came highly recommended when I had to travel to Newport for some business. They are tucked neatly in on the Main Rd and parking is somewhat limited on their left side. I ordered the Baja Fish Taco platter and they were superb. Perfectly cooked fish over a bed of slaw with a nice pico de gallo. Came with some double fried crispy fries and I washed it down with one of their signature Root beers. The best part though was their salsa. Made home made along with their chips I made sure I took some to go because they were that GOOD. You could taste the herbs and how fresh the vegetables used were in the salsa. It had the perfect balance between heat and acid to counteract the saltiness of your typical salsa. I would definitely come back again for lunch next time I am in the Newport area.

Used to come often when I lived in the area. Excited to be back after nearly 10 years. The food — especially the salsa is as good as I remember. Friendly service and fresh ingredients. Every Mexican restaurant is different. Titos certainly has its own interpretation. Their food is different from all the other Mexican restaurants we go to — which is one of the reasons why we love it.

First off, I’m not actually from this area. I dined at Tito’s when I was visiting my sister who works nearby. With that said, I’m not sure what other Mexican establishments Tito’s is competing with. Overall, I thought the food was fine, but I had a couple issues. To me, the salsa had an odd taste to it, like something was just off. I can’t really put my finger on it, but it’s probably my least favorite Mexican restaurant salsa. I also thought it was kind of a ripoff that they charge you extra money if you want to have more than one type of sauce on your enchilada order(like having one red and one green instead of both the same color). I’ve had other restaurants give me whatever combo of sauces I want at the same price, and they are using the same amount of sauce, so why upcharge for variety? It just doesn’t seem right. I prefer some of the Mexican restaurants in Providence, but that’s a whole different neighborhood, so perhaps Tito’s is as good as it gets in this ‘hood. In any case, I think it’s simply mediocre.

The absolute worst Mexican food I have ever had in MYLIFE! I’ve had bad in other places but I can’t begin the disgust of the food. PLEASEGOTO Taco Bell or get a Mexican edition hungry man frozen dinner! I had a shredded beef burrito with refried beans and rice. The rice was a covered in a cold tomato paste and crunchy. The meat(if you want to call it that) tasted like old microwaved smoked brisket. I guess in Rhode Island this must seem authentic. Wow maybe I should open a cheap taqueria and charge what they charge!

This place is just NOTGOOD, we stopped by because we wanted to have some good Mexican breakfast but first of all the neither the cooks nor the servers are Mexican, My friend asked for a coffee and the mean looking waitress said«I don’t have any but I can make some» WTF?, then asked for a sprite and she brings me one which is flat, when I told her about it she just turns around and brings me a bottled sprite, not even taking away the one I didn’t like. We order carne asada burritos and so far it was the worst plate I have ever seen and tasted in my entired life! I’m not joking. DONTCOMEHERE! save yourself some money and a trip to the hospital.

I thought the burritos would taste much better. My friend and I were not very impressed with the service. Our waitress forgot to bring us part of the order and forgot to bring our sauce to the table. Sorry but we would of been better off eating at the Taco Bell next door. Such a shame for an adorable restaurant. It seems they need more people at the front of the house for dinner time.

I literally made a Unilocal account solely to review this dump. First impression was a weird smell that hit me in the face the second I walked in. Also noticed that the«breakfast burrito» menu mispelled chorizo and that should have clued me in to the fact that this place knows nothing about Mexican food or food at all, period. Further adding to my skepticism at this place was when our waitress informed me that the southwest mexi wraps we wanted to order came frozen, and therefore couldn’t be made vegetarian. First up were the nachos, which are essentially the bagged and shredded cheddar cheese you can find in any supermarket over some runny beans and two olives(I counted) with a topping of some sad, old looking tomatoes(more yellow than orange or red!). Add this to the fact that the beans and cheese simply sat on top of a pile of tortilla chips aaaand… nope. We got two vegetarian combos, one with a side salad and the other with a side of Mexi rice. Rice was about 2 spoonfuls and extremely mushy and flavorless. I managed to eat my refried bean taco, but the shell tasted like supermarket brand premade shells, and the lettuce looked like the gross stuff that comes out of bags at Subway and sits there all day. Beans continued to be runny. I can’t review the burrito because neither of us even touched it. We got our check and got out of there as soon as we could. At $ 38 for two meals and an appetizer, I expected much, much more. If I could give this rancid cesspool zero stars, I would! If you want authentic Mexican food for cheaper than this place, try El Perrito in Newport!
