Okay so I take back my previous 5-​star review since a lot has changed since the 11 months I’ve lived here…
1) There is a new manager (first two letters of first name — «An»). She rarely answers the phone when you call. Matter of fact, I have seen her ignore phone calls when I was there in person. (At least you can pick up, and put them on hold, right?) Acts like she cares when you see her in person when in fact she doesn’t.
2) They have increased the rent from $ 1000/​month to $ 1100/​month for a 1bd/​1 ba. The month-​to-​month fee is ridiculous ($ 1,250). This apartment is so old that it could go for $ 600 max in Dallas, Houston, or SA! But of course this is Midland, where rent is high.
Other than the rent increase — no problems with crime though. During my 11 months here I have heard of clothes being stolen from the laundry mat just once. However, beware of using the on-​site laundry facility. Your clothes may start smelling like the ones in the dryer next to yours. Ugh… the smell will get on your clothes for the rest of the week. Especially if the guy works in the oil field.
If you break your lease — like my friend did — expect to pay a fortune. Read the fine print before signing your lease.
