Beer Garden At Garden View

You definitely have to check this place out if you’re in the Midland/​Odessa area! After hearing all the buzz of the new beer garden, a few friends and I decided to venture out to the outskirts of town to check it out while we were in Midland for the holidays. The bar doesn’t look like much from outside, but once you walk past the iconic «Beer Garden» sign, you’ll immediately be surrounded by a cool ambiance that is a nice change from Midland’s typical bar scene. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted by Joe, who introduced us to the beer garden since we were first-​timers. I was glad to see that they offered a wide selection of over 50 beers from different areas on tap. They let you sample different beers to help you decide which one you’d like to go with with and Joe was absolutely great the entire night and super helpful with recommending some beers for us to try. We went on a Monday night, so the bar was pretty slow (since they also close at 8 on the weekdays), but that gave us the option to check out the different seating areas. Overall, this is a solid place to check out if you want a chill night out — the selection is great, service is fantastic and I’m looking forward to coming back next time I’m back in Midland!

Really just so happy to find this place. The staff are top notch and you can sample anything. The boot is a great value for trying a good amount of a new thing. From Canada and really happy to be somewhere outdoors in a cool in environment. Great food. The stout bacon cheese burger might change your life. And the poppers are cooked great! Even the shrimp and quinoa good! Great live music at night but maybe only the weekends. Really a home run night

Just went here saturday evening. In a land of only bud budlight and coorlight on draft this place blew my expectations with actual craft beer and the smaller beer boots! The atmosphere is very relaxing, the music is the perfect volume and tons of hot chicks! But be warned buy the 32oz beers instead of the 12 it will save you money! However stay away from the food the portions are too small for the price. Eat Before you go. Also enjoy the tortoise.

This place is awesome. They only serve beer and wine. I went on a Wednesday (Wine Wednesday) while there on a business trip. The covering makes it less hot. You’re even misted with water every couple of minutes. Don’t go with a fresh up do! They have a small food stand which sells delicious bar food! Hot dogs, quesadillas & burgers. IF ever I’m in town, I will visit again.

This is a great place to go for a chill night out. Texas Twisted was playing when we went and they were great. They have a large selection of beers on tap, and the bartenders will let you try a few to help you decide what you want. They even have a small tent at serves food. The menu has a large variety of food. We got the drunken quinoa and roasted corn quesadillas and both were great. Definitely check this place out.

I haven’t lived in Midland for two years and I’ve heard of how rude people have become. This is my first time out since I’ve been back. We order a large boot mug beer and the bartender rolls her eyes and asked what time it is, very rudely. It was one hour to closing. She told him he couldn’t get that size. He orders the size below and she rolls her eyes and goes to grab the mug. Not sure if she is having a bad day or hates her job, but it was uncalled for. :-/​another customer said she did not need to say it like that.

Found this gem from an Internet search and it totally changed my opinion on the Midland/​Odessa nightlife. Anyone from the area knows many bars or clubs can be pretty sketchy, but this place was not like that. Reminds more of a crowd you’d find in Austin than West Texas.
The atmosphere is great. There’s pure outdoor seating by the band area and also more «semi-​outdoor» areas inside the greenhouses.
They have a good selection of craft beers and also interesting mixed drinks. They also have wine but the beer is where it’s at. The bartender was great at recommending a beer for my after I told her I was looking for a pale ale. I like their mugs. They have a 32oz and 17oz mug. Their prices are very far and I fee like I got a pretty good deal considering it’s a draft craft beer and technically 1.5 beers with the 17oz mug.
Only complaint is that the guitarist stopped playing early because he didn’t have enough light. Not a deal breaker. I was just happy to find a nice spot in the Midland/​Odessa area where I don’t have to watch my back or worry about looking at someone the wrong way.

This place is a slam dunk. Definitely needed a place like this in Midland. So nice to have such a variety of beer and cider choices, not to mention wine on tap! Had some of the jalapeño poppers and the chicken philly, and they were really good! Very pleasantly surprised. Yes, the prices are a little high, but considering how far away most of the breweries are and how unique this place is to the area, I’d say it’s definitely worth it. Ample seating and large, non-​smoking areas are a bonus as well. It’s like a little oasis in the desert with all the greenery. I will definitely be returning!

Great place. To the guy complaining about wifi… It’s 2015, like you said, you don’t have LTE or what? I think we all have our own wifi by now.
Anyways… Just come out and drink beer, leave your Cromebook at home.

Great beers on tap. German Belgium Texas Colorado and more. I enjoyed the selection more than 30 to choose from.

The bartender suggested I bring my own snack when I come back. Good selection of beer. Casual atmosphere. The sampler which consisted of 6-​shots of beers was 24.00, too much.

Great atmosphere to have a good time. German beers and DAS BOOT! Many craft beers on tap. Plus the chicken philly from the grill really hit the spot. Potstickers seem to be the hot item with locals. Friendly staff with nice mix of tunes.

Keeping the four stars. Jorge H.(proprietor) was a pleasure. His enthusiasm for beer and attention to social media ( Unilocal) makes him stand out in this busy industry. His response to my review was professional and added clarity. I noticed he had his dog with him when I visited and wrote my initial review. One suggestion: advertise as a dog friendly establishment (if you are) and offer biscuits and water for your four-​legged guests. I look forward to my next visit when I travel that way.

Well I’ve been hearing about this place for a while. I’ve seen it come up on Unilocal many times. I think they had been advertising on it. It just sounded like a great time. I thought it might be downtown. But it is not. It’s between Midland and the Midland airport. Just past the drive-​in theater, on Business 20. I had gone to a friends place where he was having a cook out. But I got there late. And he told me that the Beer Garden was just around the corner. Since almost everyone had left we decided to go. And I was curious to see it.
We drive up to the area. Does’t look like much from the outside. We find out it’s a nursery during the day and a bar at night on 3 – 4 nights during the week. It has a great set up for large groups. This place has long bar tables. and many picnic tables. It has a large fire pit out side their tent area. With picnic tables surrounding the fire and Green plants all around. This place set up to be a very happening place. Also the bar is set up with no seats so it leaves space for people to be able to walk up and order.
The beer selection is great. They have at least 16 beers on tap and 2 refrigerators full of bottles and can beers. They also have wine there. But didn’t venture to ask much about it. Being from California and traveled and lived across the US. I have seen many and tasted lots of great beers. They had at least 5 beers on tap that I don’t see very often and hardly ever all together in the same place. This was the second time I have seen a Chamay on tap. Usually it’s in a bottle. They had a Sofie from Goose Island out of Chicago, a Double Bastard Ale from Stone out of San Diego, and on bottles they carried Dogfish Head form Delaware. They had many others worth mentioning but the list would be too long. They also have a a could of regular beers. The place is meant for the real beer drinker. Not the guy who drinks a 12 pack of Bud light. It’s a place you bring your friends and hangout. It’s a place to savor great beer. I liked this place because it different from the usual bar in Midland or Odessa. They do have one Tv. The day I was there they had a hot dog vendor. You have probably seen them before around town at different bars. But It was a good treat to have.
One of the great part of the night was talking to the owner/​manager. I was told that he has been running the Nursery with his dad. But wanted a place with great beer selection and something different. He has made that out here. It’s an oasis out here in this desert. As I take to him I learned that he not only loves great beer he knows about the process. Also he loves knowing what you think of the place and the beer. He told me he tries to change up the taps so there is new stuff coming in. He even asked about different beers we have tasted across the country. I also found out that the day I was there was one of the nights they didn’t have live music playing. It is only a guy with a guitar. So it’s more casual than up beat. Great to be able and talk and not have to yell. This place would be packed in any big city. I believe as people start to hear more about this place and come and see it. This place will soon be packed all the time.
I recommend this place for the atmosphere and the great selection beers. I know they will have more of my business.

cool spot to have a beer or two. dosent look like much from the outside, but once you walk in you will be surpriced by the decore. Im from California so this place reminds me of back home. They have a good selection of beers. If your into craft beer you should really come and check this palece out. The staff is friendly and the service was great. Their was band playing the night i was there and they also had catering service that was serving pizza so that was cool.

Amazing place for day drinking with friends. Great selection of beers and plenty of space to meet up with friends. Beautiful ambience.
