Dino’s Pizza

Breadsticks are excellent, but that’s it. The pizza is often undercooked and has way too much cheese.

We were going to eat at Pizza Hut after seeing a TV commercial but the one on Wadley had no one eating there at 6pm so that made us reconsider since we had never eaten there. The reviews on Unilocal were not good so we tried the Pizza Hut on Andrews and it was very unwelcoming feeling.
Wife said she saw a small place next door so we looked in the window. It had no one there but the reviews on Unilocal were good so we gave it a try.
Wow.
The bread sticks were drenched in garlic butter and we’re delicious. The pizza was New York style, thin enough for my taste and with amazing mushrooms and black olives for my wife’s taste. This might be the first time we had a single pizza that met both our likes.
It was a one man operation and it was delicious. The chef was great and friendly and very welcoming. This is a true small town find and it tasted better than any chain pizza. The sodas were cans with cups for ice, but that added to the charm. We even got extra sauce and he didn’t charge extra like chains.
We will be back here and recommend it for anyone who loves pizza. This was a great find in a town with a lot of poor service restaurants.

Love this New York style pizza. Bread sticks has so much melted butter, but they are amazing. I love to get bread sticks and just salad. Mmmmm

Real good pizza! The guy is real friendly and he is a master pizza maker. Even do I couldn’t dine in, because of being late. My pizzas were Hot and ready and 10 min. Two large 16″ pizza in the nic of time, wow it seem impressive. Seeing a master and love of pizza and passion for his work. If you what fresh vegetables and all meats and cheese of course on a pie well… This is place!!! Me and my family were so happy and very satisfied. that’s all I ask for. Thanks. And I hope you like as much as we do.

Ummm apparently you have to order cheese as a topping because it didn’t have any. The cheese is generally what holds the toppings on a pizza. We ordered 2 large pizza meat lovers and a supreme (not sure what they call them on the menu) and garlic knots. Not impressed with all the toppings fall off into the box but it tasted good. My out of town guests were disappointed which made me disappointed for choosing to order from here.

I have tried Luigis, Jersey Girl Pizza and one other place in the Midland/​Odessa area. This is pretty decent pizza. A large pizza will set you back $ 15 which is very reasonable. I have found that bar Luigis pizza, the pies in this town are doughy; ditto for Dino’s. However the dough is fairly airy and not heavy. The water in Midland is horrid (so bad that I have to fill my fridge with bottled water), so perhaps this is why the pizza dough is the way it is. The only other issue is that this parlor uses canned mushrooms instead of fresh, but other than that it’s fairly ok.

Subs are served on giant LOAVES of french bread. The italian has Cheese, Ham, Pepperoni and capicola with lettuce, tomato, pepperocinis, and oil. It’s a struggle to eat it all, since the sandwich is bigger than your head, but it’s so good, you’ll certainly try.

I have never dined in but I think this is definitely the best pizza in midland. The toppings are fresh (complaints about them being undercooked are people used to ingredients that aren’t) and the breadsticks are unbelievable. So good. This is one post where I will adamantly disagree with the other reviewers. I don’t know what kind of pizza they’ve been eating…

I have to agree with Natalee F they definitely throw all the toppings on top of the pizza and they just fall off when you try to eat it. They are not cooked into the pizza. I ordered a sausage and pepperonia pizza. The pizza is okay… not the best… Jersey girl still has them beat by a longshot.

Hmmm Dino’s in an quirky little pizza joint. I’ll probably never dine in since their décor is kinda strange. I don’t even know how to describe it. You just have to see it for yourself.
The pizza is good… sometimes. If you order something with lots of toppings it seems like the toppings don’t get cooked right. I usually stick with plain ol’ pepperoni w/​xtra cheese.
The one bright spot: breadsticks!!! they are misshapen homemade breadsticks soaked in butter & parmesean cheese. Sooo good! If you’re not on a diet!
One of my good friends lived in the ghetto apartments behind Dino’s & it was great late night party food within walking distance.
