I went to this salon because I needed a change with my natural curly hair. I called and was worked in the same day, which was awesome. Simon greeted me at the door and he was extremely pleasant and professional. The salon is also beautiful. My appointment was with Valerie. She was nice and made a very big deal out of the fact that I have curly hair and stated that she is a «curl expert». She spent tremendous amounts of time washing and styling my hair and selling me the Deva Curl products. Since I was mainly there for a haircut, I kept reminding her of the fact. She had my hair washed and styled before she ever started cutting. This confused me and I asked about it. She said that is the best way to cut curly hair. I had a lot of breakage and split ends and wanted them cut off. She literally snipped bits here and there. I constantly asked her if she was actually cutting the split ends. Again, she assured me she was. My hair looked great when I left. Then I washed it. I had no less split ends than when I went in and my hair was choppy and uneven. I went to another salon 4 days later and the lady asked when my last haircut was after looking at my hair. When I told her 4 days ago, she said it looked like it had been months since I had so many split ends and that bits were crooked in my layers and thought maybe I cut it myself. I spent $ 55 at Ciao Bella and then another $ 45 someplace else to fix what 1. Valerie didn’t cut and 2. What she did cut and messed up. I won’t be back or recommend this place to anyone.

Not very satisfied. Went here to cover my highlights as I was getting sick of having to re-do them every 6 – 8 weeks. Anyways, I told the stylist that I wanted to be as close to my natural brown as possible… almost 4 hours later my hair was basically black with a reddish tint. Within 3 days you could still see my blonde highlights showing through. I ended up buying a box of dye from CVS to fix what the stylist messed up. I should have just saved my money in the first place and avoided this place altogether. First and last time I will be going there!

I’ve been growing out my hair for quite some time and on Saturday I impulsively decided that I need to chop it off. I had been going to another salon for quite some time and had always been pleased, but with their price increase and my recent move about 20 minutes away, it was hard to justify the drive. I looked up some reviews(on Unilocal,of course!), and felt confident that their prices were fair and that Ciao Bella would do a good job. They did not disappoint. I called at 2pm and was able to squeeze in a 5:15pm with Megan. Knowing that I was definitely someone squeezed in, I was sure to follow the advice on the website, arriving at 5pm to get set-up. I was promptly greeted at the door. I met with Megan, and she was able to interpret some of my indecisiveness and pictures that I kinda-sorta wanted and gave me a great cut. She worked efficiently and gave me a great short style that I love. I’ve gotten tons of compliments and will definitely be booking my next appointment with Ciao Bella!

I have been going to the owner for 8 years and have never once been dissapoited. She provides the highest level of service and professionalism. She not only listens to what I want but offers some of her expert advice and between those two ideas my hair always looks fabulous and I get a ton of compliments! The salon is so peaceful and my favorite part is when they go the extra mile to make me even more relaxed — the ultimate spa/salon experience total serenity!

I have been with Ciao Bella for over a year. Used to love going there and refered alot of people. However due to a new appointment policy«that customers who do not call in to cancel an appointment at least 24 hours in advance 3 times will no longer be allowed to make an appoinment.» This started last month and was never communicated to customers. I was extremely suprised to find this out when I called the day of and was told I could not ever make another appoinment. I will be finding a new place to go and will be suggesting the same to those I have refered. If I would have been notified of the change in policy, I would have tried very hard to uphold it. It is extremely unfortunate, but I will not deal with a company that changes its policies without letting its customers know and then penalizes them. I hope others will feel the same. Thanks Rob

My wonderful stylist moved to Boston a year ago and I’ve been on the hunt to find someone as awesome as she was. I tried out several new salons, but didn’t love any of them. A few weeks ago, a friend suggested that I go to Ciao Bella and have Anna style my hair. That was the best advice I’ve ever received. I brought in a picture of what I thought was a cute cut/style. Anna looked at it and explained that it would require a lot of styling time. Since I don’t like to spend a huge amount of time on my hair, I asked her is she could give me a variation on the cut, one that would be easier to maintain. She totally rocked it out. I love the cut. I love the color of my highlights. I’ve finally found a new salon and I couldn’t be happier.
