Very nice staff. Clean facility. My daughter came in with a stomach bug and they were very sympathetic and quick to treat. The place was packed on a Sunday morning, but no one seemed stressed or in a hurry which was nice. I would highly recommend to a friend. So glad we decided to go.

They get you into a room quickly and make you wait for extended periods of time. 40 mins to get the results of a strep test??? Really? We only come when our office is closed but we could honestly get seen faster at the ER.

I was told about this place by a girlfriend of mine. My 5-​yr old son needed stitches and was unbelievably freaked out by the whole experience. The facility is clean and well maintained, the lobby and patient rooms had TVs (with a TV guide to change channels) for the kids to keep them relaxed and entertained. The staff at KidMed was calm, patient, and kind despite the fact that he had to be strapped down in order to give the stitches. At no point did they appear to be annoyed or frustrated with my son’s fear (and resultant reluctance to cooperate in the process). They were happy to talk with me through the process, and to let me know exactly how to care for the injury. I cannot say enough positive things about the experience — I will never take my child to an ER again, if I can avoid it.

Wow. Just got back from here with my 8 month old who was vomiting and dehydrated — the on call pediatrician said to go here or the St Mary’s ER (where we’ve gone before). This place is faster, just as nice, and the copay is $ 20 (as opposed to $ 200 for an ER visit for us). That said, I felt the care we got here was on par and at times BETTER than the ER. The nurse was awesome and the dr. was nice too. I felt they listened, didn’t rush us, answered all our questions, and were helpful and friendly. The practice is very kid-​centric and decorated in bright colors with educational tv playing in the waiting area and rooms. It’s also brand-​spanking-​new and very clean. I will return here for urgent care if needed for my daughter! I’m glad they just opened this Southside location (they have one in Glen Allen too).
