Excellent food and service. My wife had the chicken frita wrap and really enjoyed it along with the pasta salad as her side. I had the sheimp vindaloo(with couscous since I am gluten free) along with black beans as the side. The shrimp was exquisite with a wonderful medley of spicy and sweet. The black beans where also notably delicious. Megan was our waitress and she knew the menu very well and provided recommendations my wife and I are excited to try for diner very soon.

Our ‘go to’ place — absolutely love it here. The flash fried fish is to die for. They usually have great specials too. Service is always good — place is always clean — we are never disappointed.

Yummy! I took a friend for lunch. I wasn’t disappointed. I had the vegan paella and it was really good. I really loved their chips and salsa. I don’t know if it was just because I was hungry or what, but I couldn’t stop eating them! I’ll definitely go back, especially since my boyfriend is a seafood addict!

Great and friendly service. The voodoo shrimp appetizer with the«intensely hot» option was one of the best things I’ve ever had.(Glad I had a margarita handy to balance the heat!) The enchilada Acapulco was delicious as well. Wish there was one in Northern VA!

What a delight! I chose this place for a work lunch meeting based on recommendations and was not disappointed. The fish chowder was AMAZING! I suspect this restaurant has enough regulars that they don’t need to market or advertise. The food was great, and the service was quick. The wait staff was courtesy and attentive without being obtrusive or interrupting our meal and conversation. Separate checks was not an issue, and all of the team members said they would eat here again. Thank you Pescados for making my turn at picking the restaurant such a success!

It is all true. Fantastic service, deliciously prepared fresh fish. I had the Mahi St Martin and it was medium hot, savory, moist and a pleasure to the palate. The Rockfish special was excellent the conch fritters were a surprisingly tasty and tender, compliments to the chefs, the presentation was par with a multi star Michelin restaurant. thank you.

I am a frequent diner at Pescados. This was my first visit since they changed their menu and décor. The food is still excellent with one exception. My husband and I love the mangos and cream dessert but it was changed. The dish used to come with strips of tortilla that was fried and tossed in cinnamon sugar. This added great flavor and crunch. The dessert is now served in a tortilla bowl that lacks flavor and is very thin. This leads to no texture in the dish other than soft and the bowl gets extremely soggy. I do not care for the new décor, too many rainbow colors and green. It doesn’t give the restaurant the same vibe.

I have to start this review by saying I don’t care much for seafood. But my husband does and this little gem came as recommendation. So we tried it and it was fantastic! Absolutely fantastic — so much that if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. In an industry where sooooooo much is either frozen or poured out of a bag, only needing to be heated up, it is fabulous to find a restaurant that actually has someone in the kitchen who knows what the heck they are doing and isn’t afraid to experiment with flavors. Every was fresh, prepared beautifully and tastes great. Now, it’s not cheap. But again, I didn’t feel at all like I was eating some frozen, regurgitated, food service, prep meal like you get in so SO many chain places. I’ll definitely be returning! Service: above average, but a little hovering. But, I was happy my water glass never got empty.

What a great little Latin seafood place tucked into a nondescript strip mall location! We split a shrimp appetizer in some sort of super tasty savory banana sauce.(Sounds weird, but it was great). For dinner I had the whole flash fried fish and my wife had the mixed seafood. Both outstanding. The service was prompt and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. This place is definitely worth checking out. Reservations recommended on Friday and Saturday as the space is small and fills up quickly.

I’ll have to come back and write the whole review later, but just in case I don’t. My review is… «Oh God!» The food was beyond wonderful, the staff was very friendly and each of them treated us as if we were their own. We’ll be back!

A-1! Once again, I trusted the Unilocal reviews and suggested this restaurant for a friend’s birthday dinner. I was a little worried because I did see a few comments about disregarding the décor, so I wondered if this would be a good venue for a birthday. Being that it was for a guy, he was more concerned about the food and to us the décor wasn’t spoiling to the occasion. Luckily, our table of four was immediately seated and greeted by our server. He was very knowledgeable about the bar/drink selections, as well as the entrees, which was helpful for us being first-timers. Looking over the menu, my indecisiveness kicked in because of the many delicious sounding options. I ultimately allowed the waiter to «surprise me» and pick an entrée for me to try(which I do often in these cases). Others at the table ordered the nachos to split, fish tacos, seafood enchilada, and a Caribbean inspired chicken dish. As for drinks, we had the mango margarita, rum punch, and a specialty local beer. We were able to enjoy our drinks with complimentary chips with homemade salsa. The appetizer came in a timely manner and, as stated on the menu, was definitely enough to share! The perfect blend of ingredients allowed every bite to burst with freshness(I can taste them now!). The entrees also came in a timely manner and the presentation of the plates were phenomenal. My surprise entrée was the Mahi dish, which came on an island of quinoa surrounded by a curry gravy sauce and complemented with sauteed broccolini. The combination of the spices with the curry gravy literally EXPLODED with every bite! I was overly pleased with his choice, especially since that was my first experience with Mahi Mahi. Don’t let the fact that it is tucked away in a shopping center and the menu prices seem a bit a high, scare you away. The meal was definitely worth every single penny and we plan to make another visit soon!

This place is amazing! I was looking for somewhere to go with colleagues and found this as midpoint of where we all live. I chose this place because the menu looked promising and unique as well as their commitment to locally sourced foods and organic where possible is hard to find in a restaurant around here. We had a few appetizers as a group. I ordered the vegan dish and it was fabulous. Also had their signature avocado«key lime» pie which was better than a key lime pie. Not too sweet, just perfect! I am coming again and will keep this on my shortlist for places to take friends and colleagues. The waiter was great and knowledgeable of all foods and dishes available. He was very attentive and courteous as well. Grabbed a «key lime» mint on my way out. Perfect ending to a perfect meal.

Dislikes: Our server was not very attentive initially but was very helpful and informative. My husband is very texture sensitive and felt like the inside of the saffron cakes and saffron in the scallops dish was too mushy. The cheesecake was good though somewhat crumbly and the crust was chewy which is a no-go for this cheesecake lover. Likes: The sauces in every dish were very interesting and intriguing. The Voodoo shrimp was the most interesting and almost overly complex. Everything was unique and very fresh. I have never seen anything like most of the dishes anywhere else. The scallops were AMAZING, sweetly seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The enchilada Acapulco was mildly spicy and well balanced in flavor. Perfectly done for this seafood and Mexican food lover! And, I second other reviews that the saffron cakes were delicious! I love that everything is fresh, local, and most dishes are gluten free.

You’ll cry for Voo-Doo shrimp… and you’ll love it! One of the most amazing dishes I’ve ever had. The other folks loved their food but I was teary eyed when I finished, I could have eaten more. Oh, I was teary eyed as I ate it, too. I’ll describe the Voo-Doo shrimp as sweet pineapple fire! And all I can say is YUM!!! The fish tacos are awesome, I might add. I’ll simply say you can order anything from the menu… mild to less, very less mild!

Another great experience. The nachos are delicious for an appetizer with a group. Had the fish tacos and would certainly recommend it to others. The flavor combinations are unique and complex making for memorable meals. The outdoor space is a great addition when it is nice outside. The staff is always nice and the dinner specials are generally tempting.

As soon as they where open we saw people start coming in right away. It got busy quick. The waitress was very attentive. We love it here. We were finally able to come here since we are only off on Sundays. We love the fish dishes that we had and we tried their specialty tartar Love it

A friend recommended this restaurant, but since it’s a fairly significant drive from home, it took me a while to make it out here. The restaurant has really interesting décor(e.g. eclectic paintings on the wall), but definitely has the atmosphere of a nice seafood place. Our waitress was friendly, but seemed a bit artificial. Every time she turned around, I could see the smile on her face quickly disappear; she may have thought I didn’t notice, but I could see the side of her face even after she turned around, and I definitely noticed. She was cordial during the entire dinner, but it just didn’t seem very genuine. But, the food was excellent. I ordered the Enchilada Acapulco, which had some quality pieces of seafood in it, but was a bit small and therefore not that filling for me. I had to stock up on the complimentary blue tortilla chips and salsa. I much preferred my friend’s fish dish, one of the specials that evening. The other friend ordered the whole fried fish, was tasty but the fish was a little overdone in my opinion. Overall, the dishes are on the pricier side, but the quality of the food is excellent.

Absolutely, positively delicious. I can’t remember the last time I had such a unique dish that stole my heart. The Enchilada Acapulco is what has me oh so excited about Pescados! This is the perfect marriage of seafood and Caribbean cuisine. Can you imagine the flavor explosions that are possible when you combine those two types of food? Well, you don’t have to imagine because I’m about to tell ya! The Enchilada Acapulco is an enchilada filled with a crab cake(gasp!), wild caught shrimp(double gasp!), and carmelized onion, served in a flour tortilla with saffron potato cakes, grilled zucchini and lobster/lime cream. If that sounds like a genius creation, it’s because it is. My favorite things in life are crab cakes. Put one inside an enchilada and I’m sold. Every single bite was seriously unbelievable. It was sweet, salty, soft, and firm at the same time. I didn’t have to wait long, so I was afraid that my food might have been sitting under a heat lamp for hours or something. I was wrong; it was unbelievably fresh. The crab cake was perfectly meaty and well-seasoned. The lobster/lime cream sauce added a flavorful touch and the dish wouldn’t have been the same without it. I’m pretty sure the potato cakes had crack in them(SO good!), and the zucchini was plump and juicy(albeit a little scarce). Other thoughts? The service was impeccable. I brought my laptop along to do some work while I ate my lunch. She seemed to be super aware that I was in deep thought, but she still managed to be very attentive and helpful. I’m coming back as soon as I can to try other items on the menu. Next time, I’m bringing the whole fam with me! :)
