The food was delicious; we tried the wings, sliders, brisket sandwich, brisket burrito. And everything was fabulous! Plus you can’t beat the happy bar prices! We found a new Friday night spot! Oh, Chris is great!

Great ribs, pulled pork, Mac & Cheese and baked beans. I liked the non chain feel too.

Great hometown spot! All their bbq is scrumptious and they have great burgers too. Their brisket tacos are my favorite and sometimes they have them on special along with other daily specials. Ribs recommended too.

What a great hidden restaurant that’s across the river. They had gingerbread stout on tap! They also had booths which is my favorite comfortable seating that you don’t always find in good restaurants Iike this anymore but they managed to incorporate them without it looking tacky. I ordered the baja grilled fish tacos which were good. The fish was perfectly grilled with a citrus flavor. I did not like the overload of tomatoes and typical Mexican cheese they added. Although a little of those ingredients would have been fine, the amount they put on the tacos took away from the awesome grilled fish. My friend had a wonderful burger that included sliced fried pickles that she really enjoyed. Overall I will definitely come back to this restaurant if I’m on this side of town. Service was awesome too!

We visited The Flying Pig a few weeks ago for dinner. We had the chili. Service was good and food came out quick. The chili was decent. Not the best I’ve had but definitely not the worst. Nice small place and really close to Strayer. Great place for a quick bite to eat.

This is my first and last time here. I have heard great reviews and received lots of suggestions on their food. While I appreciate all that, I can say that the brisket sandwich is horrible! Who puts cheese on Brisket??? My wife had the smoked pulled pork sandwich and she said it was gross. The meat was mushy and tasted like it had a canned meat texture. The sauces were ok. The good were the fries. The cornbread muffins were really good and the pineapple coleslaw was disgusting. I am completely dissatisfied and disappointed. If you want REALBBQ, Buzz & Ned’s is the place to go in RVA.

This is my 2nd time here. I had a good experience the first time with the BBQ. I figured I go with their chicken tenders this time since I saw someone with a plate. They were amazing the mac and cheese was on point very creamy and cheesy. The server was very attentive and made sure our cups stayed full. The atmosphere was crowded and noisy and the bar area was packed. They have a good happy hour that runs later than most and I will have to try it. It is a little pricey but the quality of the food is very good. It does get very crowded between 6 and 8 so be ready to wait if you show up around that time you won’t even find a spot at the bar to wait for a table. All in all I’ve had 2. good experiences here and will definitely be back for a 3rd and more. Try the Flying pig out you won’t regret it

Friday happy hour is a gem. Large beer selection on draft. Margaritas on point(they did run out of frozen mix though, only reason i didnt give 5 stars). Honey siracha shrimp tacos were out of this world and huge. Easily 2 meals. Fries were extra crispy and the queso was obviously from scratch. Fried goat cheese with pepper jelly appetizer was a hit. Will be back most definitely. Service was excellent as well!

Really enjoyed the night out with dinner and craft beers. We arrived around 8:00 pm on a Saturday. The place was hoppin. Nice bar in the center. Sectioned off area where a party was going on. Great selection of beers in tap. We had the fish tacos and burger with a fried pickle on top. Both were great.

Went back to The Flyin’ Pig last night for a fundraiser event and definitely enjoyed my time. The customer service from the staff members were on point, and it was nice to have some rare beer that you can’t find elsewhere in the area(Hardywood Gingerbread Stout, a seasonal that they tapped just recently). I didn’t order any food, but my buddy who went with me ordered a burger that he couldn’t finish. I had the last few bites, and damn it was pretty tasty. I think that the Pig has come quite a long way from my visit last year, and I definitely am going to consider keeping it in the rotation going forward.
