Horrible food. Fajitas were about half the size of other restaurants but the same price. Salsa tasted like the just dumped tomato sauce in a bowl and called it good. The chicken in the enchiladas tasted like canned meat with no seasoning. Basically you can go to walmart, get those cheap frozen Mexican meals, save money and get the same quality.

This place is disgusting! The staff is horrible, especially the lady that sits up front and adds your bill up! Can’t wait for more restaurants to open in midlothian, so people won’t have only one choice. The food is greasy and I guarantee it will make you sick. Don’t waste your time.

I like it the salsa was not hot or too spicy. I had a quesadilla it was really very good.

Worst place I have been to. Charged me 6 $ for one carne asada taco. I asked manager why it was 6 $ then she said I had a drink I had a water –_– then when leaving she said they charged me a dollar something because I drank some ones drink. I only had water I did not drink someone’s drink and even if I did good customer service is the customer is always right. That’s all would not come back

First time here and as new Midlothian residents, we were hesitant to try new places. My wife had the Monterrey and I had the Steak Tampiqueño. Both were excellent!!! The service was great and was quick!!! The kids had cheese nachos… but no review there(how hard is it to do cheese nachos?). Ambiance inside was great and folks were pleasant and eager to help. We will definitely be back. I don’t have one negative thing to say.

My family & I stumbled upon this place not too long ago. What a find! Everything was seasoned & cooked just right. And oh so tasty! The staff was friendly & attentive. My kids finished all their food which if you have kids you know if it’s not good they’ll leave it on the plate. And our drinks were outstanding. Best margarita I’ve had(& at a great price) in a long time. We’ll certainly be going back!

First time here for breakfast. Husband and I have been looking for a local midlothian breakfast place and we found it! Breakfast this morning –potato and egg burrito, short stack of pancakes, and huevos rancheros. Delicious. Chips and salsa fresh. Coffee hot. Service was excellent. Nice family environment.

Just so-so. Had the Chicken enchiladas w ranchero sauce. Sauce was too sweet. Chips were fried in old oil. Tasted burnt. Beer on special was worse than Coors Light. Not Impressed but did eat a praline on way home. It was perfect blend of sweet and salty. Service was friendly.

Midlothian needs a good Mexican Food restaurant and this for sure is a 2 thumbs down nothing like Tipicos in North Dallas they would be rich if they had one in Midlo

Went there with a few guys last night to have some beers. The place wasn’t overly busy and we didn’t get food, so I can’t speak on that. The beers were $ 3.50 a pop for Corona. They could have come a little faster on resupply but that wasn’t a major issue! Fun place to grab a few cold ones especially if you’re not up for the dive atmosphere.

This place is nasty. Food almost taste like prepackaged tv dinners. I have never left here without getting the stark raving shits within 30 minutes. Beer is good though, just need to work on having some real authentic Mexican food made fresh, not out of a box. I asked for a fresh jalapeño once and the server came back with pickled peppers saying that they do not use fresh peppers!!! There was fresh peppers in my pico!

I must say I go here at least once a week. Their breakfast is AWESOME! I could eat it everyday! Now lunch and dinner options on the other hand always seem to be over seasoned and WAY to cheesy! I always get great service, especially from Juan the bartender most nights. Saturday nights they have brisket tacos for 1.25 or 1.50. Pretty good deal especially if they have salsa verde made up. I’m a sucker for that green stuff.

Great service every time I come. Went for lunch today for the first time and got the steak fajitas. Pretty good. But not the best. We went and bought breakfast before work the other day and ITWASKILLER! Spot on! I’ll go for the service any day over their competition, Campuzano’s! Great people, better service

I’m not sure about the other reviews here because I really like the food. First off, know your food. I can tell the rice is made daily, not dry, clumpy or mushy rice made 2 days ago like Los Lupes and the same can be said about their beans. Fresh. We had the fajitas and they tasted VERY good, NOT bland like Campuzanos(you get a pile of tasteless chicken or beef). Yes, the place is rustic at best but I came back again the next week. Highly irregular for me to visit the same place 2 weeks in a row. I ordered simple nachos and chicken soft tacos. Again… very good. I’d rather get a smaller portion of tasty food than a pile of tasteless nothing. Perhaps people are judging the food based on the rustic décor. Close your eyes and taste the food. My wife really does not like Mexican food however for the first time EVER she has actually requested to go back yet again. For me, someone who loves Mexican, it was a HUGE win! Oh, our service was way above par. I’m still confused about the low reviews here. And FYI, my wife is a Chef so she knows when stuff is fresh or reheated food. (no, we do not have ANY affiliation with Tio Tony’s. In fact, I also recommend Trios Grill in Cedar Hill).

They have some great items here, but a lot of so-so options as well. I suggest sticking to grilled entrees. My favorite is the paradilla; it’s hard to go wrong with all that delicious grilled meat! But I’m not a fan of the enchiladas or burritos. However, if you’re looking for a cheap place for beers, this is a great option. I wouldn’t get anything too«exotic»(once I ordered a Zeigenbock that was obviously OLD). Stick to basic draft beers and you should enjoy your time.

The service depends on whose table you’re at. We had so-so service, while the table next to us had great service. The food is ok, but I had to ask for a new spoon since mine had something stuck to it from a previous diner. Gross. It’s a deal breaker for me, and they brought the spoon out already in my cup of charro beans. It makes me wonder if our waitress did that on purpose to hide the gunk on the spoon. My wife really liked the fajitas, but not so much her enchilada. Bottom line, if we had cooked this at home, we’d probably be pleased with ourselves, but since we paid $ 9 a plate for it, we’ll opt for a better place next time.
