Lane Bryant

Just took a friend to find s few business casual clothing options. The pieces were attractive. Much more modern than I remember. The last time I went to a LB store it felt like I was shopping for my mom or grandma. But this time was much better.

This is a nice, new-​looking location. The staff members were friendly, but I really had to wait a long time for help, as they had two customers that apparently had a lot of questions and/​or problems. But, when they got to me, they were very helpful. Clothing not marked accurately on one of the clearance items I bought. Beautiful clothing, but really overpriced in my opinion.

Lane Bryant, oh what can I say. This used to be, basically, the only retail clothing store for the hefty lady. They are not so much any more. This location is relatively new and still really nice. The clothing is all laid out nicely and is well organized. The clothing is … alright. I am not a fan of some of the latest fashions, but that is not the fault of the location, rather the store buyers might be a little out of touch with what looks good on the larger gal. (Hint, make the shirts a little longer so they cover the belly fat … just saying)
I come here for one reason and one reason only: the bra selection. Really, that is about all I buy here now. I used to get all of my clothing here, but now there are different places to shop that fit my body type that fit better and are much more flattering to me. But the bras will keep me coming back again and again. Now that being said, the workers here are not bra fitting experts. I have yet to have a proper bra fitting from a Lane Bryant employee. Luckily for me I know my bra size so I can just look for my size. The selection of colors and sizes are vast. Also the good news is that if you do not find what you are looking for in your color or size, they can order from the online store and ship it directly to your door. That I like very much.
Now for those of you who are fans of the clothing here … or frankly have girl butts so the pants fit (I sadly have a boy butt and all of the pants just sag … not so flattering) they do have a wide variety of shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, undergarments, sleepwear, active wear, shoes, and accessories. The staff are generally friendly and helpful; though they are not overly in-​your-​face-​up-​in-​your-​business helpful. I usually have to ask for help if I need it from the staff at this store.
The bottom line is that Lane Bryant is a specialty clothing store for the larger lady. They do what they do rather well, I think the fashion is just not on par with what I generally go for.
