This store was very clean, but there was no one in the store to ask for help in finding what I was looking for in the camping section. When I finally found the section for it was only a single aisles. For a sporting goods store I would have expected more. This particular location seems to cater to mostly to individuals playing baseball or golf.

Feels nice to walk into a box store where the manager cares about how clean and tidy the place is. The employees have been kind, although lacking in the gun and knife area. The place is full of great goods, though they are more expensive than most other places in town. I’d trade a few bucks to Dicks from Academy for a nice experience, a clean store, and a place not filled with cheap junk littering the aisles of the store.

It’s usually pretty easy to get in and out quickly here, and the sections of the store are well laid out. The employees are, understandably, still new at their job since this facility only opened a few months ago, and sometimes aren’t sure where an item might be located or how to perform a certain task (like getting my fishing license). This has lead to frustration on a few accounts, but the employees always genuinely seem helpful, if just lacking the knowledge to help.
So it might be best to come here already knowing what you’re interested in, at least for now while the employees are new.

Finally another big chain comes to Oklahoma to set a fire under Academy’s rear end. I’m not huge into sports but If you are this place has almost everything you need, and more lacrosse gear than any sporting goods store should have, seriously, I didn’t even think there was a big lacrosse following in Oklahoma. Anyway, they have the socks that I love and what more could I ask for if all I do is jog?

What more can I say than «Much ado about nothing»… This store came in with a lot of excitement and fizzled for us within 5 minutes of entering the front door. The prices were SO high that we stopped midway through the store. We will stick with Academy…
Store is nice and well layed out. Never talked to an employee so we cant speak to service. Rating is 100% price based.

Some of their stuff is WAY more expensive than the other sporting goods stores here in OKC, but when you catch it on sale, it’s usually a pretty good deal. Staff was friendly and helpful, which was surprising at 3AM Black Friday morning. I expected them to be in a worse mood like the other stores we went to that morning. Went back couple days for a few other items and it was the same experience.
