There are more than one J Cleaners. Maybe the bad reviews are for the other one, but the one on E14th St. and Ave J is the best one to go to. The man who works there is honest and personable, and he always makes sure the stains will come out. He will also check and tell you if he doesn’t think they will so you don’t waste your time and money. This is the best place to go to in this neighborhood. $ 10 minimum for credit card.

Sometimes they just close early without any reason. You might plan to pick up and certain time and come to their location and it is CLOSED. Not reliable.

I h don’t know what the other reviewer is talking about. I personally love Avenue J cleaners. I been using them for over 2 years now. They are very honest, clean well, and have never lost any of my clothes. The best part is that they deliver orders over $ 20.
Teresa is very knowledgable of what stains will come out and which ones most likely will not.
The only downside to this place is that they don’t take Amex and that their credit card minimum is $ 10.00

TERRIBLE. Just got back from picking up our weekly dry cleaning and everything is wrinkled and looks dirty!!! The kids who work there do not know what they’re doing and it seems like a shady operation. I only started coming here because my beloved other dry cleaning lady went out of business because I think this place’s prices are much lower. Even with the lower prices, STILL NOT WORTH IT!!! I am really disappointed that we spent this money and got NOTHING in return. NEVER going here again. :(
