Turkey bacon dill and New England clam chowder are fantastic, service is usually kind of slow and there is no seating, but the food is great.

This place is truly a hole in the wall but they have the BEST soup around! Love the friendly staff and I also love how they use fresh ingredients when making food. You can really taste the difference in the food

DONOT order a large take-out or delivery order, they just can’t handle it. We were 30 people, and we made arrangements ahead of time, but we overwhelmed them. Soup was cold, orders were wrong and they were 90 minutes late. Ugh! Horrible!

I recently came here for a sandwich on Saturday afternoon. I had the Italian which was very good. Fresh meat, veggies, and bread. Simple and tasty!

My husband and I stopped here by impulse one day. They were just about to close up, but waved us inside with a warm and inviting smile. Since this was our first time we asked for the chowder and bisque along with a dill mayo turkey blt to share between us both. The owner even gave us two free cookies just for being new. One paticular soup caught my eye though… BERRYSOUP! It’s cold like a smoothie, has small chunks of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries and a dallop of whipcream on top. O.M.G! All of it was great, but that berry soup just was the perfect end to a delightful meal! My only recommendation… later hours(lol) Because I’m always late!

So went here for lunch got a quart of lentil soup $ 12! Which I thought was a bit high and a veggie sandwich was $ 6.95. Sandwich was tasty. It’s a nice place for only take out. Nowhere to sit inside. The staff was friendly, though it didn’t look as clean behind the counter as I had hoped.

Come for the Chowda, stay for the sandwiches and nice people behind the counter. Truly a gem for their no fuss approach to takeout.

I had to try this place out after reading all the Unilocal reviews and I’m glad I did. Some days you just really want a hot soup(wish I’d known of this place during winter) and don’t know where to go. Bobette’s has a great selection. Lucky for me I went on a Friday and lobster bisque was on the menu. Took a 16oz size home with a chicken salad sandwich for dinner all for about $ 15. I saved the chicken salad sandwich for dinner and opened up the soup for lunch. Heaven in a bowl. I can’t remember the last time I had such an amazing lobster bisque. It had the perfect consistency and flavor but what took it over the top were the CHUNKS of fresh lobster in the bisque. I can’t tell you enough how badly I hate when I order expensive lobster bisque at restaurants and it comes with teeny tiny microscopic pieces of lobster. Not here, it was so amazing I called my dad(also a lobster bisque fan) to tell him how great it was. The chicken salad sandwich was also pretty great. It was a huge sandwich so I actually had the second half the next day for lunch. I didn’t find the prices here to be expensive for the amount of food you got. The only thing is that is that this place could use a little remodeling. I know I over heard one of the ladies saying they were fixing up the bathroom for customer use in the future. The location is pretty much take-out only and has no seating area. I probably wouldn’t have stopped here if it hadn’t been for all the Unilocaler reviews. The staff was super friendly and sweet. I’ll definitely come back.

I have never written a review. I downloaded the app just to write this review. The taco salad was so good that it actually reminded me of Los Angeles. The beans were fresh unlike the shriveled beans you get everywhere. The lentil soup was the best I have ever eaten. This place is a real treasure.

Bobette! Why has the quality of your sandwiches and the efficiency of your staff consistently gone south since you’ve restructured both your building and staffing? I’m a regular and have given your crew some leeway since your building has gone under reconstruction. I know it takes time… but how long will we have to wait to have your group hitting on all cylinders? I’m hoping this is just growing pains.

I’m currently in the mood for a Bobette’s sandwich… so hopefully we’ll make a drive out to visit very soon. I love picking up lunch here on a bright, sunny day and driving to eat somewhere on the Milford shore to watch the sound. It really makes for a wonderful afternoon. Their soups are outstanding! I typically get their chicken special of the day or a turkey sandwich of some kind. Their sides of pasta salad or fruit salad with a huge brownie round out your meal for a lovely picnic! Bobette’s…I wish you had a food truck that could venture to the WH green on nice days. My lunch hour would be well spent! :-)

Bobette’s is kind of that place that you always drive by and think, «hmmmm I wonder what this place is all about?» I wouldn’t have stopped if I hadn’t read the reviews and I’m glad I did. It’s so hard to find homemade soups these days and since mother nature has been a real B this winter, I was craving some. Decided to stop into Bobette’s and I’m glad I did. It’s small, unassuming, no frills and that’s fine. The workers inside were friendly and personable. I ordered the mushroom barley(vegetarian). When I brought it home, it was hot, seasoned perfectly and stick to your ribs yumminess. My only complaint, personal preference wise, is that I like carrots in my mushroom barely. Other than that, I’ll be back!

I work right near Bobettes and today it was just too cold to go out for lunch pickup. Found out this place(very highly hyped locally) delivers for any order over $ 15. which isn’t hard since they’re not cheap. 2 of us had the Tortellini soup. for $ 4.95 you get a very small cup … definitely not worth it. Thin and watery with about 8 slimy soft tortellini floating around in a sea of green plankton or spinach or something. I ordered the Daily Chicken Special(supposed to be breaded chicken cutlet with sliced pepperoni, mozz and sauce on a sub roll) … what I got for $ 7.25. was non breaded chicken and one thin slice of pepperoni and a little cheese. and no sauce! The girl told me they were outta sauce when I ordered. but how can you make up a Daily Special out of something you don’t have ? The bread was that nasty spongy soft stuff u get in a twist tie bag in the supermarket. The sandwiches were small, the soups were small. just so not worth all the Milford hype. The only reason they got 2 stars was because of the quick delivery, but I just don’t see us going back.

I have gotten delivery many times from here and the food was always awesome and then I went into the actual shop the other day and was so grossed out by how dirty it is. It’s in desperate need of cleaning, degreasing and painting. Now that I’ve seen it don’t think I can eat there again.

This place is pretty damn good. I had a roast beef with heat sandwich, which was good. I can’t complain. But nothing out of the ordinary here. The put everything on it including a bunch of horseradish mayo. I like the shredded lettuce and the roll it was on was good. Not much to report on this front… But the mussel chowder was the bomb! The whole pieces of mussels and the cubed potato pieces with the big chunks of veggies were on point. And the whole thing is chunky, not just half of it and the other half soup. Look at the pictures, they don’t lie! The service was fast. There is no seating inside. But there are a couple picnic tables outside. It’s a weird little shop out there, but they are pumping out some good food. Sandwich B+ Mussel Chowder A+

Bobette’s Take-Out Bistro Bobette’s is one of those great local places that has great food. Primarily breakfast and lunch, soups and sandwiches to go. I had lunch there two years straight when I worked in the area. Their soups are amazing. The white bean chicken chili, split pea with ham, lentil, chicken orzo… I have had them all. Great sandwiches and cookies too. If you are anywhere within 30 miles of this place around lunch time, take the drive! You’ll be glad you did! Bobette and Gary have a real gem there and everyone is so friendly!
