Worst Subs I’ve ever had in my entire life! Totally without taste or any creativity, just total garbage. We had a Steak & Cheese with everything, it tasted microwaved with poor quality so called steak, YUK! We also had a Buffalo Chicken Sub that was very skimpy on the Blue Cheese, also tasted microwaved. How this company has been in business almost 100 yrs. is beyond me. Trust me we’ll never be back, and I do not recommend this food, if you enjoy good food. This Food SUCKS!

Got the Steak & Cheese and my son got the Buffalo Chicken sandwich since I had heard this was a good place for them, we were both disappointed. The bread was ok and the only good part of the sub because they hardly even added meat and the meat that was in the sub had no flavor. Done with this place!

Sorry guys, salads aren’t good. It seems like the toppings aren’t fresh. Onions were slimey, lettuce soggy. Maybe the subs are better? Might go back for a sub but I’m iffy :(

I have given them 2 try and the 2nd was worse than the first. The first time based on reviews I ordered a cold sub the godfather. On plain bread. I got the sauce on the side so it would not be soggie. The vinegar was on the side but when I got back the wetness of the tomatoes and veggies made it sloppy and the bread was way to thick. The bread to filling ratio was off and the meat was just ok. 2nd visit was tonight. I walked in the door at 8.25. They close at 9.00pm. There were a few people in front of me waiting. They told them they were short on bread sizes. I figure ok they do close in 30 minutes I guess I can see this. Then I wait for 5 minutes before I am acknowledged and able to order. Mid way through my order the phone rings and the guy goes to answer and leaves me to take a to go order. I had asked for a medium everything and all they had was large left I had said ok. By the time he comes back the guy next to me wanted 2 subs with everything so as the guy finally walks back I tell him to switch to Multigrain so they can have it. What iritates me here is the complete lack of communication between the crew. Before they guy took the phone order he could have pulled my bread so the rest knew what was available. He comes back and makes my sub and ask me what kind of cheese. Then he walks over and makes it and wraps it. I assumed he would ask if I wanted toppings before wrapping and he did not so I had to ask for a side of peppers. I walk out the door and he comes behind me to lock the door at 8.40. So close early because you are low on bread. They seriously need training. I have never been to a subwat, jimmy johns, or Mikes and seen one close early due to not making enough bread. Overall their bread to meat filling is off. Way to much bread and their meat quality is the same as subway if not worse. I say skip them and go to subway at least they know how to make enough bread and don’t close early.

Really disappointed. The meat was pre sliced and the roast beef seemed to look artificial. I was very upset. The sandwich was huge but I wouldnt go back again. Word of advice. Boars Head Meats SLICEDTOORDER.

I usually get the chicken Philly sub when in town the last 2 occasions the service has gone downhill. The large Chicken philly sub was kind of skimpy at least I thought it was half the chicken was on the other part of the sub ok… every bite I took was all fatty tasting chicken which was gross. I won’t be going back here again I’ll just make my own subs when I feel the urge.

All I gotta say the bread is insanely good here. I’ll put anything they have on everything bread and can be perfectly happy. These subs are great for tailgating when I’m going to be eating all day but watch out… there’s so much food in this sub that it will put you to sleep if you try to finish it. Not so great when I get it for lunch and expect to stay awake the rest of the work day. Can I get a smaller sub? Sure… but it’s only a couple bucks more for the big boy and it’s pretty much a dare to get it. Like when the bartender asks you if you want the 16oz or 24oz… you don’t really have a choice, you’re getting the 24. I usually go with turkey, ham, or steak and cheese. They have some cool meat combos available too. Cool toppings available(like banana peppers) and plenty of customization. Pro tip — get the chocolate chip cookies, they’re soft and delicious Three stars because I don’t go here that often. It’s one of those places you go to every now and then and love it but any more and you’d have to join Weight Watchers.

I don’t even like sandwiches, but when«everything» bread is involved, the stakes change. Fresh bread. Good quality ingredients, but not overwhelming options. This is my go-to sandwich place, for sure. Full disclosure: I’ve been coming here twice a week, and bringing everyone I know, since discovering DiBella’s, just last month.

I’m usually not a cold cut sandwich kind of person, but DiBella’s definitely changed my mind about that. Unfortunately their hot subs are nothing to write home about, they are alright, but not great. I see most of the disappointed customers her got a hot sub on their first visit, which makes the disappointment understandable. If you want an excellent experience, get the Godfather. After sampling a few of their subs, this is definitely my tried and true favorite, and don’t forget their oil dressing! It really is a must. The pasta salad is great, if you have room for it after your sub. Finally, finish it off with a chocolate chip walnut cookie. They are so soft and chewy, and just perfect. I have actually gone in just for their cookies. I don’t think the ones without the nuts are as good.

My first time trying it, although long awaited, a bit disappointing. I stared at the menu as you walk in for about 5 minutes when a gentleman sitting near me says«there’s nothing to decide, get the steak.» I’m a cheesesteak fan, so I did. It was very dry. Gigantic, but dry. I searched for some mayo or catchup or hot sauce, anything, to no avail. Perhaps I should have known to ask for it during the build process. A process in which is a bit confusing, especially when the kid building is frustrated that you don’t know the procedure, and whispers just above an inaudible volume. The Mac salad was really good and so was the pickle. Over all not super impressed, but it wasn’t that that bad. No real grudge, but I probably won’t come back.

Now this is a sandwhich! This is the first place I stop when it’s time to get something to eat when I’m in Milford!

Great quality, excellent selection, huge subs. They need a DiBellas in Boston! We will definitely come here again

Friggin love DiBellas, always stop by when I’m in CT or Albany. I usually get the Dagwood on everything bread, with mozz and roasted red peppers — never disappoints. The portions are huge — if you order a large expect to leave with a loaf of bread. The meats are fine, but the bread is what really makes this sandwich. There’s a subway across the street… don’t even think about it. Recommend trying one of their signature sandwiches instead of sticking to what you know. Don’t travel to Milford very often, but if there’s a DiBella’s around I’m likely not too far… Boom!

Love this place. What’s not to like? Fresh bread, generous portions, good variety in the menu? Prices are just slightly more than you’d pay for a crappy sub from another sub chain. The fresh cookies are excellent too

You will not be hungry when you leave this place. You will be quite satisfied. I call their sandwiches man sandwiches because they are huge and I can barely bite into mine lol. You can eat half and share or have lunch for the following day. They have nice employees and fresh food.

Decent submarine sandwiches. They use the long form of terminology here to describe what some call simply a sub around here or hoagie, hero, wedge elsewhere. They bake their own bread and often during the day so that’s pretty great. I’ve had two varieties of fillings, cold cuts and meatballs. Both of good quality but the meatball sub was far more weighty. I give their meatball sub a 4.5 for content and flavor of the meat and sauce. All in all they could do better. When marketing a sub shop in a locale like Milford CT it’s important to check the competition.

Excellent service and food. Don’t try comparing to Subway, it’s not a far comparison. Really good subs. Try the«Godfather», it’s great!

Tasty sandwiches, but they lose a bit in their logistics. I’ve ordered roughly the same sandwich every time I’ve gone in. Each time, the options presented to me are different. I only end up with horseradish, for instance, if I happen to remember to ask for it. Same for roasted red peppers. I get asked if I want my sandwich grilled about half the time. When I get to the register, I have to recite my order back to the cashier, including which meats ended up on it… even though that doesn’t change the price. As well, they seem to run out of Everything bread, quite often. I’d recommend this place, as long as you know that the burden is on you to make sure you get what you want.

I don’t see what all the hype is about. Went there twice both times had a lousy sandwich. I’ve tried a few things now off the menu and the«fresh bread» they boast about is better at subway when a high school kid who moonlights as a «sandwich artist» can do better than them. I’d rather goto subway, big disappointment for me since there’s not a ton of places nearby to grab a good sub
