Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

Been eating here for years. Great food. Best boneless spare ribs. Always fast. At least ten years eating here never been disappointed. Not sure how anyone could rate this place bad!

Plain gross! My girlfriend and I ordered from here about a week ago and I got beef and broccoli and she got chicken and broccoli both the chicken and beef were slimy! I called and complained and all they had to say was «oh» the lady was rude and didn’t even say anything when i picked the food up just shook her head. Very rude and terrible food.

I have never written a review right after eating the food. Does that tell you how bad it is? I ordered pork fried dumplings and a pork egg foo young combo platter that comes with fried rice. First off the dumplings were barely crisp and the dough was undercooked and way too thick. The filling was gross too. I threw them out. Oh, and it didn’t come with any of that dipping sauce that is supposed to go with dumplings. The egg foo young was nothing special, not bad, but not great. The brown sauce wasn’t that good. Last, but not least, the pork fried rice was terrible. The rice was undercooked and was tasteless. It had some onion in it and barely any pork. When I first took it out of the bag, I thought it was white rice, but no, just skimpy.

Went back here a few weeks ago with my mom. Ooooooof has it gotten bad. The wife, husband and kids all look like the meanest unhappy people on the planet. The food was quite nasty too!!! To cut corners they are using chicken skin in their soups. BLECHHHHHHH!!! I tried the steamed dumplings again… and my stomach was sick for the whole evening. If anything… steer clear of this big DUD!!! NO GOOD!!!

Two things — I don’t normally waste my time on reviewing a small «hole» like this nor do I frequent such places but this place is disgusting.
The food was terrible! I have eaten from here only a few times and that’s when I have been either too tired to cook or completely forgot to stop anywhere else (and that’s a bad day because there are lots of eateries along Rt. 1 in Milford). I have never been satisfied but the last episode was THE WORST.
My boyfriend and I both ordered dishes with Shrimp Fried rice. When we received our meals, a few shrimp had been placed on top on a plain fried rice (made w. onions only) and nothing else. My protein was more Shrimp — and hoping that would add some flavor so I dug in. Disgusting… and the shrimp had not even been cleaned. Nasty!!!
Worst still was not the food… it’s the awful, awful woman who works there. She is grumpy, rude and could not care less for the customer. She is also the same person who took our order. When I asked for extra soy sauce, she said «yes, yes» and then I said «extra soy sauce» and she said «hmm». (Note: we received only two packets of soy sauce). She ended up delivering the food too… she was on the phone, did not put it down for a second to give me my food and grabbed the money out of my hand and walked off. Not even asking if I needed change.
Never again.

We get takeout from Hong Kong almost weekly. As far as quick delivery Chinese food goes, it’s fine, but nothing fantastic. They are pretty generous with the wontons when you get the soup, so that’s a plus. Whenever I get any dish with sliced chicken or beef (beef and broccoli, etc) the meat is always kind of soggy. I’ve found the food to be pretty oily, which is why I tend to go with soup, if that makes a difference to people.

This place makes great pork fried rice, beef and broccoli, General Tsos… terrific for take-​out. The meat is juicy and crisp, not fatty. They really are a few steps above most generic take-​outs.
I remember years ago when it was called Hunan Garden, I don’t know that anything but the name has changed. Anyway, it is what it is — but that doesn’t mean it’s mediocre. They’re really good for grabbing some dinner on the way home.

Very good to excellent Chinese food. Mainly a take out restaurant, but there are a couple tables if you’d like to dine there. Awesome egg rolls and soups.
