This was our first trip here. The food was served very fast. It was hot and quite good. I found it to be among some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. The only«drawback» to the entire experience was some of the wait staff. It almost felt like my presence was an inconvenience and they wanted to hurry me through my dinner and move on. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable dinner.

I got the Bistek Mexicana — supposedly a ribeye. I ordered it medium rare. The sides(rice, beans, guacamole) were ok but the steak was beyond well done. I could barely cut it or chew it. The server came by after 10 or 15 minutes and asked how everything was. I told him the steak was well done not medium rare as I ordered & was almost inedible. He said nothing and walked away. A few minutes later the woman who seated me came by and asked how everything was. I told her the same thing and she also walked away wiithout comment. Before leaving I requested a take out box. The server dropped it on the floor, laughed, and put it on my table. He seemed to not understand why I wanted a new box and didn’t want to use the one which fell on the floor but brought one anyway. If the servers aren’t trained that food doesn’t go with anything that touches the floor I really wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Food is not bad but service is very slow. Salsa was blah.

I give this place 4 stars. Most of time it is awesome, but sometimes the service is lacking. The food is always great. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. When the manager is working everyone is on point and working hard, but when he isn’t the staff moves a little slower. I always get the Carne Azada or Fajitas and they are always great. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants great Mexican food in Ohio.

Really good food and great service! One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve eaten at in the area. During my second time, on Father’s Day, they surprised me by bringing sopapillas to celebrate the day. Definitely my one of my favorite places to eat.

Five stars! Delicious food. Excellent service. Honestly the best service we’ve had since living in the area. *I’m editing my previous review. We went here again recently and the service was awful. The food was still good but I guess the manager wasn’t there that day. Only reason I bring this up is because last time we went here he was constantly visiting with tables and taking orders/refilling drinks/etc. This time they seemed understaffed and we were neglected the entire night. Very disappointing.*

First visit to Dos Amigos, 4 stars. I got the most Americanized menu item on the menu, Chicken Chimichangas. They were good, but they had a lot more authentic menu items. More about the restaurant, service was great! Much like Dewey’s, I call it «Swarm Service,» where anyone walking past your table sees that you need anything, they take care of it on the spot. So during my meal, I interacted with probably 5 – 6 different staff members checking in, but not intrusively. The guy bringing out the food literally ran through the dining room to get the food out in a timely manner. I’m not talking a «brisk walk,» but more of a full-on sprint! He wanted that food on your table still steaming! Another thing that kind-of blew me away: this suburban strip-mall Mexican restaurant in Ohio has Shrimp Ceviché and Oysters on the menu, as well as Lobster dishes. Yes, I ordered the Chimichangas, aka“Gringo Special,” but it was nice to see these more«exotic/authentic» items on the menu. Food/service/variety, at least 4 stars.

Muy bien! Love the spicy hot burrito. Very friendly service, food is served quickly, great salsa, and I have not had anything I did not like. My wife gets the chicken soup(you have to ask for it) which is HUGE and has lots of fresh vegetables. I think she orders it as you can get 3 meals out of it by the time you take the leftovers home. Can get very busy — but that reflects the great service, food, and friendly atmosphere

Like most of the reviewers, I give this place 4 stars. Located in a generic strip mall, nothing makes it really stand out. Each time I’ve been here, not only is there not a crowd but there’s hardly anyone else here. I’m giving it 4 stars because the service is fast and the food is good. For the price I would like to see much larger portion sizes and if that were the case, I would throw in another star.

Just so happened to be in the area for an ultimate frisbee game(Madison Radicals) vs(Cincinnati Revolutions). Our son played for Madison and he went with us to eat after. We chose Mexican and this restaurant happened to be in our path. We arrived a tad late into the evening, almost closing, there was no push back to serving us, but quite the opposite. We were welcome with a warm heart and were quickly waited on as others were finishing their meals and some employees started to clean up. We were offered suggestions and of course 1 homemade margarita. The food was quick and abundant, really abundant. We ate and were quickly filled with food and follow up service of a doggy bag was in order. As our boxes were packed and gathered we were greeted by the manager and waitress asking our satisfaction, thumbs up. They proceeded to toss in a meal of tamales as an added addition to our go box with instructions how to prepare and serve. The food was truly very authentic. The service superb. This is a must visit location and if ever in the area we will stop again.

Delicious! By far the best Mexican food around. Great sized portions and great salsa. We got the margaritas and they were very good and pretty cheap. The staff is friendly and answered all our questions. This will be our new Mexican place for sure!

Great Mexican food and a great value. Their house margaritas are great. The small pitcher is enough for two people to share and have plenty to drink around 4 – 5 of the small single size. Food was excellent, the special dinner was huge and was only $ 15. Chips and salsa were delicious and never empty. The waiters were very nice and helpful. This place is now our go to Mexican restaurant.

By far the very best mexican food in Clermont County and one of our favorite restaurants period. The food is good overall but the seafood selection is awesome. Great environment to hang with friends and family, watch the game or just talk with the super friendly staff. The Corona Margarita is out of this world but make sure you have a DD because they are STRONG! Everyone seems to have their favorite spot for Mexican but if you don’t give this place a chance then you are missing out!

Did carry out to go back to my office and eat. Called my order in and went to pick it up when they said but still had to wait for it to be ready when I arrived. They charged me for extra guacamole even though all I did was ask if it came with it. Wouldn’t take it off the bill until I said I didn’t want the food and almost walked out. Decent food and they gave me a lot of it, so I am putting 2 stars. Service was bad.

Went for happy hour, which is from 3 – 6. Queso is better than El rancho! Happy hour drinks are good. Margarona is strong and delicious. Service was fast and employees were kind and quick. Definitely will go back again!!!

I frequent Mexican restaurants, therefore I’m a little tougher on them than other types of restaurants. In this case, it didn’t work out so well for Dos Amigos. I rate them all pretty much on the same criteria which you’ll find below. (Do you have any criteria for Mexican restaurants? I’d love to hear them, please send me a message here on Unilocal!) The Chips: Rating: 3⁄10 Not warm, bland tasting The speed of drink refills /service in general: Rating 4⁄10 We waited a long time to place our order and get refills, and there was nobody else in the place. The Queso dip: Rating 5⁄10 Nothing stood out about it. The portion was small. The Chimi– Rating 5⁄10 Expensive for what we got. Fresh ingredients. Surprised I had to order refried beans as a side item… Atmosphere– Rating 3⁄10 There was a Mexican soap opera on television, with the volume down fairly low, but no music, and it seemed very quiet being the only ones in the restaurant. $ to Meal Portion size ratio– Rating 1÷10− Portion size was too small and the same meal at other mexican restaurants would have been cheaper I won’t be back here. Milford has a couple of pretty solid Mexican restaurants, and I think we’ll stick with those in the future.

An undistinguished strip mall Mexican restaurant. The server seemed bored and despite his obvious Hispanic heritage, didn’t even bother to acknowledge both men and women in our party – instead we were all«amigo» and said in a tone that brought a certain irony to the word. The chips were of the generic supermarket variety in taste and the salsa watery. My chicken enchiladas suizas were acceptable, but lacking in robust flavor. They only came with rice, which I found disappointing(I usually just assume rice & beans are both standard in these types of places). There wasn’t anything truly terrible in the experience, but nothing to recommend it either.

This restaurant was previously a Mios restaurant. The new owners have made very little changes other than a fresh coat of paint and new décor, which makes for a refreshing change from more stereotypically-designed Mexican restaurants that feature lots of fake stucco and sombrero hats lining the walls. We stopped by on a Friday evening and despite the place being nearly packed, were seated right away with a huge basket of nachos and bowl of salsa. The salsa was flavorful and I appreciated how they served it in a larger bowl than you get in other Mexican restaurants. The vegetarian menu has only about 5 items on it(with one option being a shrimp burrito, which we found comical as it’s not vegetarian) but you can do a combo platter from a variety of veg-friendly options, too. Hubby got the bean burrito and quesadilla and I got two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. The food is pretty much the standard fare you get at most Mexican restaurants, but it was served piping hot within 10 minutes of ordering. I really liked how they serve drinks in very large glasses. I’m the type person who tends to drink a lot and my pet peeve is a server who isn’t up on refills. Despite having a lot of tables, our server was on the ball with refills of chips and drinks and even stopped by a few times to see how we were enjoying the food. Our dinner cost for two drinks and two entrees came to about $ 23, which is well worth the good service and food. We’ll definitely be back.
