It wasn’t crowded for a late dinner. It was my first time at this location. Quick service, good food. I especially enjoyed the seafood ramen. They give a very good sized portion and there was scallops and shrimp. I usually go for the combos but I wasn’t as hungry and didnt want too overeat. I had a pleasant experience and will be back.

I eat here often. I’m not really sure why, but hey I’ll try to explain and maybe someone can figure it out :) Their food quality is two star at best. I do like the Gyoza and the fried rice is just ok. I add allot of spice and add vinegar sauce and it makes it actually taste pretty good. I can’t give credit to the cook because without the rice vinegar, soy sauce, and chili powder that I add, it would all taste pretty bland. So you might be wondering, if the food is only two stars why the hell would she go back again and again… Well, I thought about this deeply for about 10 seconds and I think this is why… There is a waitress. Asian but I’m assuming Chinese?! The first time I went, she scared me because she was so angry, scolding co-workers, making stink eyes at customers who were in her way, and exhibiting extreme irritation with everyone around her… She yells and stomps her feet like a child and has no respect for the other staff. After observing her a bit I realized that she doesn’t mean harm, its just her personality. And of course I would never want to work with her myself, but she was an entertaining character and we found the situation comedic. Lol. Since then we keep going back and every time she surprises us with even more sarcasm and immature behavior. If you’re still wondering that it doesn’t make sense, why does she keep going back? My response: I really have no clue. Haha. You try it and tell me what you think :)

Food here is pretty cheap, well worth the price. Portions are pretty big, and everything tastes good. I’d recommend the spicy seafood ramen.

Fried rice with only peas and carrots? Also ordered curry stew. One slab of beef uncut. No potatoes, carrots, celery, etc. Just gravy. Very disappointed

I give food a 3.5 but the customer service is awesome. Very tentative and appreciative of business. Super friendly. I even saw them open the door for an elderly group as they were leaving. Husband and I are both impressed with their service.

I think the 25 cent ramen you buy at Safeway is better. The broth tastes like dishwater and the veggies and meat were gross. Yuck. The only reason they got two stars was because I liked the Gyoza. You guys really need to work on your ramen, especially when that’s you’re name.

Went for dinner on a Saturday early evening. Service was fine for a casual place. The waitress was polite and constantly refilled our waters. Part of our order came out late and she was apologetic. Good to have this option here in Mililani Mauka where there’s not much else in terms of dining.

This place is decent for ramen in a pinch. The portions are fairly large and the food is good. Staff is fairly quick to get your order in and the food comes out in good time. The only gripe I have is one of the workers, who I thought was doing an excellent job hustling the tables, was getting reprimanded in front of customers for mistakes that sounded petty. That person should be reprimanded for poor management etiquette.

My family often does take out here as we live right up the road. It’s nothing’s special and not a must go to place. It’s just fast and convenient for us. I’m used to the not so great service but after today I thought I would finally write a review about the poor service I received. I always call in and order the chicken katsu curry and today was maybe my 5th time this summer. The katsu is always good, but every time I got it there was only a little bit curry, not even enough to cover half my katsu and rice. So today I finally decided to kindly ask for more curry. The rude lady who is always there apparently didn’t understand me and gave me attitude saying«What do you mean? So you don’t want curry?!» And when I said no I would like more because lately it’s been lacking she decided to give me a snobby«Uhmm okayyy.» When I was completing the rest of the order for my family you could hear the irritation in her voice like she wanted to hang up. It doesn’t end there. When I got home and opened my plate, there was more curry but it was a mess! The katsu was all over the place instead of nicely put like it normally is and the curry was all on the sides and everything. I’m not sure if the lady planned that or not cuz she was annoyed with me but makes me question it. Even the gyoza that’s normally placed nicely in a line looked like it was just thrown in the container. I understand if maybe they were busy and in a rush but the place was empty. My family will probably go back eventually since it’s in the area and restaurants up here are limited but I wouldn’t recommend it to others after today’s experience.

Oh boy, the one time that I choose to ignore reviews since I was in the area and starving, led to utter regret when I got home and took my first bite of their seafood crispy noodles. Ugh… it was like eating a salt bomb! I don’t mind MSG… it’s fine when used as an enhancer, but not to the point where all you taste is salt, salt, salt! I could not eat half of my noodles, and ended up tossing it in the trash. And I have to agree with others about the lack of service here. The girls working in the front are very immature and have no filters in front of customers. The place was empty at dinner time(yeah, I should have left immediately!), and the staff just stared at me the entire time I browsed the menu for a take-out order. I finally decided on the seafood noodles, paid, then went next door to pickup dog food, and came back 2 minutes later. The same girl who took my order looked at me like she never saw me before. Okay, I said, I’m here for the take-out order. Then she turned around, yelled at the cooks in Chinese, who were only about 6 feet away from her, and started to dance around like a 5-year old wanting to go potty. Alrighty then. Anyway, I finally went home with the food and as I mentioned earlier, the food was nasty. Yikes! I’m never going back to this place, ever.

If I was rating solely based on service, this place would only get one star. However since I do enjoy the food, they get another star. I’ve been a very loyal customer ever since they opened(and even to their town center location) but unfortunately due to my most recent visit, this location will no longer be receiving my patronage. I called in an order for takeout but thanks to Google, I mistakenly called the«New Genki Ramen I» one in town center instead of the Mauka one. Come on, don’t make like this has never happened to you(this was actually my first time). Anyway, when I got there and told the waitress I had a pickup she immediately picked up the phone and called the other location confirming that I had accidentally called the wrong location. Before she actually told me what had happened I already knew by overhearing her LOUD conversation, so I apologized for doing so and had expected her to say something along the lines of «No problem, we can have it made for you, it’ll just be a little while.» But what did she tell me? «You called the wrong restaurant, you mind driving down there to pick your order up?» Uhh…yes I mind?! So while she was still on the phone, I politely asked her if she could have it made for me there. She rolled her eyes and practically yelled on the phone«THEYDON’T WANNACOME, YOUHAVETOTHROWAWAYEVERYTHING! NOSENSE!» and proceeded to call out the order to the kitchen. In shock, I paid for my food and then again politely reminded her that I had wanted ramen instead of won ton for my combo. She then rolled her eyes AGAIN and turned to the kitchen and yelled it out. Then she said out loud«now they gonna eat that?» I guess meaning that they had already started cooking the won ton. Okay, I get that it was completely my fault for calling the wrong location… But that was NO way to treat a customer. I get that there was food that possibly went to waste, but it was such a small amount. I work at a restaurant too and this happens quite often with us having multiple locations. It’s all about putting on a smile and giving good customer service, especially to loyal customers! As for the food, everything’s pretty good. The shoyu ramen could use more flavor though.
