Citibank

Terrible customer service at this branch.
I told the teller about the ATM being unclean, the keys being dirty and smutty, but she didn’t seem to care. I then requested to speak to the manager and the teller said she was busy on the phone. I asked her if she could just let the manager know that I wanted to speak with her but she dismissed my request. So I went over to the manager myself and waited for her to completer her phone call. Thereafter, I asked the manager if she would come with me to look at the ATM but she declined to look at it and was condescending in all matters.
When I left I realized where the rotten apple in the barrel was located.

This is a horrible branch of Citibank. I tried to open a business checking account and the dark haired bank teller made me wait forever just to tell me I had to make an appointment. I said fine, when can I make an appointment. She said I have to leave my information and they would call me back for availability. I thought this was odd since I’ve never heard of a bank not wanting to immediately open an account and takes one’s money, especially since there was only one client in the bank at the time. I decided to check out the Citibank branch in downtown Mill Valley instead. In that branch they welcomed me with a smile and were able to immediately open a business checking account and upgraded me to gold status.

The customer service in this Citibank branch is exemplary. Bank manager Deborah Ward runs a class operation and is in tune with the needs of her clients. While I am just an average depositer, I feel like I get the royal treatment at this branch. Teller Jasmine went out of her way to professionally handle my wire transfer in record speed. The staff here really seems to value their customers.

I have always had a great experience at this location. Very quite and nice environment. Spoke to the manager Deborah Ward today, very helpful, supper sweet, professional and absolutely stunning. Loved her and would recommend this location to everyone.

The staff went out of their way to meet my needs, which were complex. I felt like a patron at a 5 star restaurant or hotel

I am always impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of this branch. I love the location and have always loved the building itself. I hope Citibank doesn“t close either of their Mill Valley branches.

I was heading to Stinson on a Saturday morning to catch waves when I stopped to get cash at the Citibank off 101.
They were so very nice, courteous and helpful. the woman teller was really helpful — gave me info on the closure of Stinson with the government shut-​down (who knew). the guy at the desk discussed account options with my 11 year old son and converted him from his B of A to Citibank — and he is a tough customer.
Friendly, efficient and professional. I will stop there again!

First off I am not sure from what dimension in time anyone could have came from saying anything positive about this branch. Everyone there either does not have a clue of customer service, and are always in meetings or out for weeks in training. Training to stare at you as if do not speak English, or when you call to say we do not have a voice mail system. Everyone there that seems to know anything is always in a meeting they must be planing how much worst service they can provide. I would think with all the meetings and training they might be just a small amount concerned with customers. Also the meetings are always with someone higher up the ranks then the branch manager who I was told was «secret» and I could not be told his name nor leave a message for. If you want spend the rest of your natural life trying to straighten out bank paperwork that is never correct, and leaving messages this is the place for you. Just remember when they lose your life savings in paperwork they can not get straight you were warned. Better yet call Citibank corporate and demand a clean sweep of all of the personnel there.

I am actually writing this review for the Mill Valley Citibank location on Tiburon Blvd, in Strawberry, which does not have it’s own Unilocal page. (Though I had a currency exchange transaction here that must have taken over 30 minutes, to change about $ 150.) Anyway, they wouldn’t cash a money order that was written by their bank. This was after 10 minutes of standing in line behind one person, while one of their employees, who I asked for help, sat staring blankly at his computer the whole time. I just don’t get it. After failing to complete the transaction, which was about as simple as can be, the teller asked if I would like to open an account. Hmm. Sounds to me like they are paid on commission and aren’t motivated to do much else. The only reason for a star was that the bank was beautiful inside, with a giant chandelier and wood walls.
