So very happy to have found Edward!!! My best friend recommended him and now I have finally found «the one». Loving my hair now and the color is finally Right!

I traveled from San Diego for Mother’s Day weekend and to redo my look. Internet research (including Unilocal) rocketed Edwards Salon to the top of my list. The Stylist bios. led me to Cathy and the rest, as they say, is history.
Cathy spent thoughtful and helpful time in her consultation and then about an hour carefully crafting a cut which showcases my curly hair and eliminated about five inches of growth. It is the best haircut I have had in almost 70 years. I will be back everytime I visit my daughter. Thank you Cathy for a memorable experience and awesome hair!

After reading a few of the reviews on here that suggested Donna is the person to see if you are looking for a change, I took the plunge… I could not have been happier that I did so! As a guy who had been growing out my hair for a little too long, I asked her to keep it «longish» but to give it some more style and just make it look better. That’s about it as far as direction. She went to work and explained her technique throughout… as well as pointing out some of the bigger challenges with my hair (which I was all too aware of already). In no time, I had a completely refined and MUCH better look. It was exactly what I had hoped for and Donna did a great job of living up to her reputation and reviews! The biggest surprise to me is that she used no product at the end… typically, after a fairly dramatic cut, I would have required a lot of help keeping my hair from imitating a porcupine. She used NONE… and it looked and felt great… even better, it looks good the morning after. I’ll definitely be back!

After moving to Marin last year, I’ve tried a few other hair salons in the area, but have settled on Edward’s Salon as my favorite! I was a bit put off by the staff 2 other salons I tried, but found both the receptionist and my stylist, Angela Rose, at Edward’s to be very friendly, made me feel comfortable, and did a great job. I was just looking for a shape up of my current hair style and Angela Rose did a very nice job of making it look great, and made sure I was happy with it along the way. She also did a great job with my bangs which I’m always picky about! They also have online scheduling which is super convenient, especially with quick bang trims in-​between haircuts.

July 28– I called and left a message for the receptionist 9am and she was super efficient in calling me back, we talked and I asked her to put me on the cancellation list for Angie. Within an hour, got a call back and I was confirmed for 5:45pm.
The whole experience was just awesome from shampoo (with a mini neck massage) to the cut. Angie really listens and is not afraid to go back to the drawing board if you ask her. I am loving my hair and thrilled with how amazing Angie is. She gave me exactly what I was looking for.

I got my haircut and highlighted by Gennie and she did a fantastic job! I am so happy with my hair! It looks amazing!

Julia did my hair cut and balayage.
I’m very happy with the results. My hair started to grow faster and the cut gives a lot of bounce and volume.
Balayage looks very natural and it gave me a «summer look» I was going for.
I love the huge windows. Gives plenty of natural light.

Love the friendly vibe and the stylists have been there for years so that says something.
Been here 22 years had counting also must mean something.
Open and airy it doesn’t feel toxic to sit and get your hair did.
A bit pricey but worth it.
They have great product too, including the Atomik mini travel blower too cute.
I’m partial to Donna because she is just one hot momma on the flatiron and a bundle of love.

Angie is amazing. I highly recommend her. She is great at both cuts and color. I often let her decide what she thinks is best because her professional judgement is always spot on. She knows how to please!

This is by far the best salon in Marin. I’ve been going to Leanne for about a year. My fiancé started seeing her about 9 months ago. My kid goes to Leanne. While they get the usual cuts, I have tints, highlights, cuts and Keratin treatments to decrease grey bounce. She rocks. Leanne is one of the best stylists I’ve come across — ever. And that is saying a LOT. Thank you Leanne!

I’ve been going to Edwards Salon for many years because the quality is so high and the experience is always welcoming and friendly. Angie cuts my hair and Kristen colors it. People frequently ask me who does my color because it consistently looks terrific. I’ve gone to many high end salons over the years and I’ve not found this consistent of an experience or team previously. I’d highly recommend them both.

They say the first step is admitting so here goes. I am a… control freak when it comes to my hair. There, it’s out in the open and I feel relieved! Haha!
My stylist, Cathy, at Edward’s Salon in Mill Valley has always known me to be super particular, especially when it comes to hair drying time. I just have little areas I like with more volume or direction and fortunately Cathy tolerates this freakiness and just goes with it.
I recently had my first Mom’s Night Out since giving birth to my daughter and I wanted to shine. I decided to try Edward’s Salon’s new Blow Dry Bar within the salon. I was nervously excited for my experience, knowing that my big night out tresses rested in the hands of the Blow Dry Stylist. Fortunately, my mind was instantly put at ease once Sarah Gronsky began working her magic! She took the time to consult with me for what I was going for: softly curled hair that made and impact and also held up for a night out dancing with my friends. Mission accomplished! Sarah used the highest quality products by Oribe on me. She washed, dried and curled my hair like a wizard, always checking in to make sure I was happy with the direction she was going. I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks but equally as important, I had FUN! It was a great way to start out my night and I can’t wait to return. Thank you so much Sarah Gronsky and Edward’s Salon for reminding me that I still have it!

I HIGHLY recommend Leeann for any haircut or style! Shes talented, a great listener and is knowledgeable about how certain hair types react to different to cuts and styles. She does what you want, but will often give her input and «check in» as she is cutting to see if you are liking everything. I found my stylist!

I love this salon! Great atmosphere right when you walk in, and the reception is very welcoming. Everyone here is approachable, and the owner Edward is always there to give advice or help out where needed. I go to Gabbie who is AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable and confident in what she is doing and I always leave feeling like a million dollars. My hair has never felt or looked better. I would highly recommend this salon and ask for Gabbie for cut and color!

I have been going to Edward for my haircut and tint for over 3 years. I usually get a blunt bob cut and he always does a great job. I get so many compliments on my hair afterwards. Not only does he do a good job on my hair, he also has good sense of humor and always makes me laugh!

I have been following Jessica J since she was in cosmetology school. She is the only person I let near my hair now! Jessica always know how to transition my color (because I am always changing my mind) from light to dark PERFECTLY! When I decided to cut 8 inches off in the spring, she gave me such a fun medium cut that I didn’t regret it! Now that I am growing my hair out again, I haven’t once felt like there is that «awkward in between phase.» Jessica is a hair genius, I would HIGHLY recommend her for any one, with any hair type :)

I was lucky enough to have a SOLID haircut with David today. Thank you! I am someone who is an anxiety monkey when it comes to getting my hair cut, and usually only do it once a year (may have to increase the frequency now).
I showed him a pic and he made my hair look just like the pic. It is super cute now!

Wow, just read my reply to my experience from Edward. Let me tell you all that I did not storm, nor demand-​anyone who knows me would reaffirm that this is not my manner. I will no longer be swapping emails back and forth with this owner and his business as it gets petty. I stand by my experience. Oh and it seems Julie is gone, but still the owners reply I find accusatory and false, once again bad customer service

In the interest of full disclosure, I used to work here. I am disappointed to see there aren’t more positive reviews given the number of wonderful experiences people have had here.
This place is so welcoming, the environment is professional without being snooty. Edward is a very relaxed and happy person and this trickles down to all the employees. The bad apples fall off the tree and go elsewhere, and many of these reviews are about those people.
Since I’ve left, I have referred my clients to Leeann, who is beyond amazing at what she does. I even had her cut my hair last time, and I don’t trust many people to do my hair. It’s thick and wavy, and I’ve been growing it out for 3 years. So needless to say, it can be challenging and I am attached to my length. Leeann cut just the very tips off my length, so I didn’t even notice it and reshaped my layers in a way that I can put curl product in, let it air dry and it actually looks REALLY GOOD. She is thorough, talented, passionate, and well educated. She is also very warm and easy to be around. 5 stars to her and Edwards salon!
If you’re looking for the least expensive, this isn’t it, but if you’re looking for really good work without the attitude, your money is well spent here.
