The good: the food was well prepared and well done. The bad: the slowest service ever! Over 30 minutes before anyone came by the table. Over an HOUR to get one appetizer. By the time dinner was served we had been sitting there for 2 hours. On a Tuesday when only 2 other tables were there? Why? The stupid: almost all dishes were meat and cheese or cream-based. I had to heavily modify to find something remotely vegetarian. Forget vegan. Just not what I would expect in Marin in a restaurant that sits aside a health club. Owners: please get a clue. Offer some plant-based options. And get a staff that knows how to wait tables.

The stools need new padding. Okay, that’s the worse I can think of. We were there for a busy Saturday night, because the James Mosley Band was playing. Bravo to our waitress for handling her tables so well. Though a bit over cooked, my Beef Wellington was very good and my wife enjoyed her Beef Stroganoff. The Dry Creek Cabernet Sauvignon was so well paired that she had a second. There is a dance floor, albeit small. The band played background dinner music the first set then after a lengthy break broke out into MoTown music. We’ll be back.

Who knew this place was here? I sure didn’t, but my coworker found this place so we could all spend some time together after work and to avoid the horrendous Friday traffic. Happy hour was pretty decent and they offer a taco tuesday $ 2 special which are all pluses in my book. It’s a bit vintage and very Marinlike if you know what I mean. Beautiful views and comfy seating. The night we came was also featuring karaōke. Some of the people there were quite talented. I guess the only flaw if anything was that it just felt old and maybe it was because we were the youngest people there, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The drinks were made strong and food wasn’t too shabby either. Great find, but a little off the beaten path.

I’m not one to bark but this place was a royal disappointment. Wedge salad took 45 minutes? It’s a wedge of iceberg… Food and service was poor and they could’ve cared less to fix it despite seeing that we had barely ate. wa wa waaaaaaaa

Been a regular at the other locations for years. It’s probably against my best interest to call attention to the new location of Marin’s best breakfast joints, but they deserve it. This hidden gem needs to iron out a few wrinkles under new ownership, but Annette and Gerner nail it every time, so they get five stars!

Great neighborhood gem. Tasty menu to include steak, pasta, chicken and their unique and delicious Danish meatballs. Nice and well priced wine list. Watch sports at the bar or enjoy the great view. Service is attentive and helpful. Don’t miss Friday night karaōke, some serious talent to watch or join in with your own tunes.

WOW! Went to the Lighthouse bar and grill in Mill Valley, Ca. What a surprise, the place is just beautiful, a water view, white table clothes, cloth napkins, all this is for lunch. The food was just perfect. I had an bacon, avocado and mushroom omelet, it was wonderful. My friend had the Cobb salad with shrimp, again it was very good. Service was outstanding, the view is wonderful. I will be spending a lot of time in this new find.

I very much like the informal and laid back atmosphere in the restaurant. Really nice food combined with a beautiful view, a very nice staff and affordable prices. What’s not to like?

The location and setting are beautiful, the food mediocre, the quality of service depends on the staff, and is mostly horrible. I have rarely seen such an attitude in staff including the manager with so little care for their customers. To me it seems clear that they treat it as a case of captured audience as the restaurant is within a club, where members have no other food options, so the ownership doesn’t seem to care about providing good service.

I was so happy when I learned that The Lighthouse was coming to the Harbor Point location as this was one of my favorite Marin breakfast spots. I was looking forward to an improvement in the quality of food and service available at this very comfortable and relaxed venue. Since their opening I have tried the restaurant several times hoping for an improvement and it seems to have gotten worse. The restaurant itself it bright and airy with a lovely waterfront setting. There is a full bar which is unusual at a breakfast establishment and they offer bottomless Mimosas and inexpensive Bloody Mary’s as well as excellent fresh squeezed juices. The kitchen, however just can’t seen to get it together. With only two large tables in the house(6 persons) they could not get the food out in a reasonable amount of time. The pancakes were underdone and the toast and hash browns were barely browned. We had two small children in our party who were getting cranky while waiting for their Mickey Mouse pancake. We were happy with the spill proof water cups and crayons for the children and the kid-friendly menu items and the waitress did her best to accommodate us but she obviously had no control of what went on in the kitchen. Since this has been our experience on several different occasions, I felt compelled to write this review. Please Lighthouse bring your standards up to the excellent level of your other restaurants, we would really like to keep coming here!

Great service, yummy food, and karaōke the first and third Friday of the month! Food was hot and brought out in a timely manner. They checked on us and asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert — YESPLEASE! Casual and cozy with a great view. Will be back!

A solid cilantro chicken salad in a country club style setting(part of a pool and tennis club) with a beautiful water view and reasonable prices. Sign me up since this salad was large, fresh, chock full of avocado and freshly grilled chicken with a delightful dressing. You can eat-in with waitress service or take it to go via the pool(if you’re a member, cha’ching!) I wasn’t expecting the extensive menu. From sandwiches galore to pickled herring to meatballs to omelettes and so on, they literally have something for everyone including kids(can we say chicken fingers and grilled cheese). A delightful little spot for casual fare.

Just enjoyed another delicious brunch at Lighthouse. The Benedicts are lovely and the eggs are always perfectly poached. The hollandaise is light and lemon sweet. And the bacon, be sure to order a side – the best around. On the weekends, the bottomless mimosas are can’t miss. This family hosts three Marin restaurants with consistent food and welcoming grace. If you’re feeling adventurous try their Danish meatballs or salmon dishes for lunch or dinner.

Okay I was so suprised this place was here. Lived in SF all my life spent plenty of time in Marin and had never been down this road before. Spacious with a view that will knock your socks off. Better than fighting the birds at Sam’s in Tiburon. Food was okay, club house food, not spectacular but for $ 10 a plate I was suprised by the value. If you can get past the very Marin customers, I would venture here to give it a try. I will definitely come back on a Sunday for their endless mimosas for $ 10. Oh and you can watch tennis and swimming to boot.

It is so great to have the Lighthouse people, menu and style here! And hooray for the bottomless mimosas! So Norwegian Benedict with delicious salmon or their spectacular«ultimate breakfast»? I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to have this family here at harbor point club. They care about people and quality and service and goodness. Try their Danish meatballs. Yummers!

I’m excited to report that there’s a new kid on the block. But although they’re new to the location, these guys are seasoned veterans. The folks behind the popular Lighthouse Café(in both Sausalito and Corte Madera) have taken over the reins from Nourish Grill at The Club at Harbor Point. The new incarnation is now the Lighthouse Bar & Grill. In less than a week, they’ve already completely revamped the menu. Diners can now feast on a tasty variety of breakfast & brunch offerings. Menu highlights include: the Caesar Salad, the Club Sandwich, the Burger, The Eggs Benedict, the Crab Cakes, and good ol’ Fish & Chips. The owners are of Danish descent, and their native influence can be found in several dishes. Nowhere is this more evident than with their signature Danish Meatballs(aka Frikadeller). For those unfamiliar with the dish, these aren’t your Italian grandma’s meatballs(so don’t expect melted cheese and a spicy tomato sauce). In fact, these succulent beef patties are so good, they don’t need a sauce. Instead, this meaty trio comes with a creamy potato salad, cucumbers, beets, and a sweet remoulade. I could eat these suckers every day! The waterfront bar at Harbor Point still remains one of the best kept secrets in the North Bay. I’m glad they haven’t made any changes in that department. Drinks are still considerably cheaper than most other places with comparable views. Plus, they have some pretty decent food/drink specials for happy hour(Mon-Fri). I’m looking forward to giving their brunch menu a try in the next few weeks. All in all, the Lighthouse Bar & Grill is off to a promising start. I feel fortunate to have them in my backyard.
