Love this place! The gifts/crafts are unique, beautiful and well priced. It feels very good shopping here, knowing you are supporting local artists. I have purchased jewelry for girlfriends here, placemats for my mother-in-law and candles for my house. The owner seems like a very nice guy. I’ve never felt pressure to buy anything when I browse. Love that Mill Valley has a boutique-y, well-priced store that supports artists. Exactly the type of place I want to see in MV!

This is the best little hidden treasure in Mill Valley! Katherine and Jonathan, had a great idea and have created a wonderful, cool little shop where you can actually buy a unique and compelling gift(or something for yourself!) for under $ 50 bucks! This is a eclectic collection of local artist’s work. They have everything from handmade pebble encased potting plants, to sea-glass necklaces, crocheted sushi(yes, I said that!), calming Marin landscape watercolor paintings, mobiles and even a few unique furniture pieces that you won’t find anywhere else. This shop is small, but holds more treasures than you’d think possible. Jonathan is usually at the counter, greeting everyone with a genuine smile and an update of how the flow of business is going. He has an excitment and passion that is NOT about selling, but rather about introducing his customers to the wares of the local talent. My understanding is that every month or so, they change up everything and take new artists’ work. I believe there is a waiting list for ceratin mediums, but they really hit it out of the park with their selection. The artists whose work is chosen put in a few hours here and there at the shop to not only keep operating costs down(& give Jonathan a much deserved break)…but how cool is it to have the actual artists’ ring up your sale??? They have a sincere interest in speading the love of art and it show! I work next door, and pop my head in frequently… I have made a few purchases(my favorite is a glass bead and old key necklace for $ 35.), and will keep this place in mind while doing my upcoming holiday shopping frenzy! I hope Roots finds GREATSUCCESS… with all the ridiculous, and overpriced products out there, this is solice for those of us that like to give 1-of-a-kind unique, beautiful and resonably priced gifts! Very cool place. Has lots of really cool handmade stuff. Leather goods, cards, clothes, plants. Nothing made in china here.
