Wrong day to get coffee here, the cruise today had terrible customer services. I odered a mocha frap &2 cheese danish, he gave me the total amount, I handed him my $ and waited for changes. The gal next to us told my guy his customer also want a cheese danish & they only had 2 left. Both guy decided to cut 1 of my order & gave to the other customer. If they ask me b4 hand, I will gladly share w/that customer, but they decided to do it even I already paid that is really RUDE. Also, my mocha frap Never Done after 15 min waiting & I had to walked over the counter to ask and no body know anything. Hello! I paid for my drink, not a begger… when I got my drink, my CD is soft & cold, I asked can u plz reheat a little bit, they said they don’t allow to reheat it. I told them I haven’t touch my hand on that since it was sitting on their table only! You guys should correct ur customer service because there are tons of coffee shop around, I just don’t want to mention the name of that gal. I know ur name!!!

The service is excellent. Friendly staff, they got my order and made it in a minute. They were smiling and calling me by my name. And it was a nice atmosphere, I say with my mom and it wasn’t too loud. It was quite good for sitting there in the morning.

A consistent coffee place if you don’t mine jockeying for a place to sit with the neighborhood school kids. Whenever there’s a national holiday or a break in their school schedule, this place becomes very civilized. You will actually be able to use a clean bathroom, get a comfy seat, and enjoy peace and quite without having eight kids per table surrounding you. The place is small as it is, but when you add all the high school and middle school kids that come in during the week, your better off driving to another Starbucks within a mile away to avoid the chaos in trying to get a cup of joe. But if you really need to have that coffee fix, and this is the closest Starbucks, get here either early in the morning or after 5pm after all the moms have picked up their child from school. Apparently, its very cool to hang out at the neighborhood coffee joint and not drink coffee.

The barista’s here are so rude, like bye felicia leave your attitude at home. Like this guy, skinny, justin beiber hair, glasses, he is so rude. And the others are rude aswell. I can ONLY get a tall iced water and not a Trenta on a HOTDAY! Like wtf? Marin City Starbucks are so much nicer!!! Everyone should go there. Just saying, these starbucks people in mill valley(Next to safeway and TamHigh). Basically barista’s are rude.

I always love the consistency of Starbucks. You truly get the same product wherever you go. Unfortunately that is not the same for le Boulange. Their pastries are not the best anyhow, however they seem particularly sad and stodgy at all Starbucks locations. Still love this location and the staff is über friendly :)

after trying to resist the monolith for so long, what finally got me were the lattes. because the coffee is still gross. anyhoo, I’m not reviewing starbucks as an enterprise, but this particular location. it is. always. packed. as others have said, do not go when school lets out, when school is on lunch, right before soccer practice on the weekends, when soccer practice is over, and anytime any day between 7−8a when people are trying to get to work. other than at those times, the slightly spacey albeit sweet service is amusing, and not catastrophic to efficiency.

Ugh, what was wrong with my coffee? Was it burned? What was that strange acidic/plasticky taste? No dice. Outside of the mediocre coffee this location has great seating and a nice selection of their premium beans. 4 stars for the location and layout 5 stars for the selection of coffee beans 1 star for my craptastic drink(weighted score)

It’s Starbucks — you know what you’re getting. Or do you? This Starbucks does enough volume to have a clover press. The clover press is like a french press. The coffee that comes out of the clover press was imo far superior to the constantly brewing urn coffees they offer. Now whenever I go to Starbucks I order a clover press coffee(if available)

This place is ok for a Starbucks, but their management is kind of off compared to the others, for some reason. Its a bit cramped in here.

I always judge a Starbucks by how they make one drink… Iced Grande Nonfat Green Tea Latte. Why? This thing is super easy to screw up… Most places don’t bother to mix it and try to get the powder all dissolved within the milk. This place did it right. Oh! And for some reason, I didn’t leave stinking like coffee. Awesome ventilation. 4 stars.

I’ve said this statement a couple of time… I love Starbucks! I will try and make this a short and sweet as I can. The Starbucks usually has okay parking(privet lot next to Safeway). They have a friendly staff and make good coffee. Usually this Starbucks is a quite place however, when Tam high is in session it can be a mad house especially during their lunch time. If Tam High is on lunch and you want coffee I would strongly recommend finding a different place to get coffee because where ever you need to be at, you’ll be late. Really late. Anyway, this Starbucks is good!

Went here today before a cool event at the Marin Community Center, Standard Starbucks fare, but the cool part of it was the service. They were nice, quick, and I didn’t have to remind them to bring my latte to the table. I hardly ever am in Mill Valley, but if I’m in the neighborhood and need a coffee place, will definitely be back. Great for people in wheelchairs, and it is in a shopping center, so loads of parking.(I rolled there of course.:)

I discovered this gem of a Starbucks early one Saturday on my to Mount Tam, and have made it a must stop place ever since. So whenever I go to Muir Woods, Mount Tam, Stinson Beach, Bolinas,(yes I know how to find it) I pop in here for my drink of the day. Mocha mocha mocha, gimme mocha. Luckily for me I cruise through Mill Valley early enough on Saturdays that the line is not horrendous. Once I stopped by on the way back and it was a madhouse. Long line and all tables full. So I stick to the ‘Bucks as a morning ritual.

The good news: This location feels more like a neighborhood coffeehouse — personal service, atmosphere, etc. The people who work here are great. The bad news: It’s super-busy much of the time. The hours just before school, during school lunchtime and after school — it’s impossible to get a drink or a seat because both middle school and high students take it over. Do we need to talk about noise level during those times? I question the wisdom of putting in apparently unlimited wi-fi because by mid-morning, it’s like an office, with tables covered in computers and sometimes loud cell phone conversations and meetings. Still — when I can get a table — it’s my favorite Starbucks anywhere around.

OK, so in terms of general Starbucks quality and polite staff, this Starbucks in no different than others: GOOD. I am only giving this Starbucks 3 stars because ITISUNDERSTAFFED. The lines are RIDICULOUSLYLOOOOOOOOOOOOONG. So, if you’re in a hurry, don’t come to this Starbucks.

Now I’m back to four stars because the baristas who work here are way too nice and attentive to only earn 3… it could even be 5 stars if everyone didn’t need to get their coffee at the exact same time that I do! Maybe I should start going to work earlier… hum…

God, I wish I could give this Starbucks no stars. In fact, I would give them –100 stars. The management is unbelievably rude and their policies discriminate against the lactose intolerant among us. Instead of going into detail about the scuffle I got into with the unpleasant woman behind the counter, I will copy and paste a letter I wrote to their managemendt. Guess what– No one ever even bothered to respond. Here is the letter that I sent, with my identifying information removed: Dear Manager, I am writing to express extreme dissatisfaction with your store in Mill Valley(next to Safeway and across from Tam High). On Saturday I came into your store to purchase a beverage and study at one of your tables. I initially purchased a medium sized soy latte, and sat down to begin working. When I finished my soy latte, I ordered a refill of coffee, which cost 50 cents. The coffee was very hot and plain, so I walked over to the napkin/milk station to add a splash of soymilk to my coffee. I noticed that there was no soymilk available to add to the coffee. Since I am lactose intolerant(hardly an uncommon phenomenon), selecting regular milk or half and half was not an option for me. I walked over to the counter and asked if I could please add a small splash of soymilk to my coffee, as it was very hot. The woman behind the counter curtly informed me that a mere splash of soymilk would cost 60 cents. I was confused, seeing as the beverage itself only cost 50 cents, and I had already ordered another full-priced drink. Furthermore, there were NO non-dairy options available at the napkin station. I explained to her that I was lactose intolerant, yet she still resolutely refused to allow me a splash of soymik. I was especially appalled, since at most other coffee shops(including large-chain competitors, such as Peets Coffee) the soymilk is ALREADY at the napkin station, in a clearly marked pitcher. The woman behind the counter nonetheless would not give me the soymilk, and I eventually caved and purchased the 60 cent splash, as the coffee was otherwise un-drinkable. However I immediately left the store as I was surprised by the counter person’s rudeness and her brusque disregard for a customer’s request. This incident is unacceptable for two reasons. First of all, it clearly discriminates against those who are lactose intolerant or otherwise allergic to dairy. I understand the surcharge for a beverage that relies heavily on soymilk, such as a latte, but charging 60 cents for a mere splash of soymilk(probably equivalent to a tablespoon or less) is ludicrous. Secondly, the counter person’s refusal to grant my request after I had already purchased a full-priced beverage AND explained my lactose intolerant condition indicates a profound disregard for customer service. She may have received the 60 cents for that splash of soymilk, but her inappropriate obstinance ensured that I will never patronize your establishment again. Furthermore, I have informed my family, friends and co-workers of the rude treatment I received, and have recommended that they patronize Peets from now on. Peets is much more amenable to customer requests, and always has soymilk available for free at the napkin station. I thank you for your time, and recommend that you seriously reconsider your discriminatory policies if you hope to retain a customer base in a community that is increasingly shifting away from dairy. Sincerely, Jessica C.

I know I’m always lambasting this place but finally something to cheer about. People frequently pick this particular Starbucks for informal business meetings, so there I was, standing in line trying to find something not so painful to drink. Ah, green iced tea! Yes, that sounded good but not too sweet(they are notorious for cavity sugar sweet). The cashier took my order then started in on the ‘Starbucks lingo’, «Well then do you want 2 pops instead of 4?» {good lord} I looked puzzled until she explained that a pop is a sugar boost. Two sounded safe. It was refreshing, and I will order it again. Truth be known, I am impressed by their wiley marketing.
