DeMartini Construction

My husband and I had a large beam replaced on the outside of our house and two access doors replaced by Matthew. He was on time, did an amazing job and cleaned up nicely afterwards. He was professional to deal with and we would definitely call him back if we needed additional work done on our house.

I had a nightmare in my master bathroom — mold, leaks, dry rot, peeling wallpaper. You name it, this bathroom had it. The leaking had caused significant damage to the den below, as well. I had contractor after contractor come in, look at the bathroom, say «yep, you need to get this fixed» and then vanish. Matt DeMartini came in and said «yep, you need to get this fixed» and then did it. Beautifully. He started with a full, detailed contract of what needed to be done, what he was proposing to do, and what I would need to do. (I had one «bid» come in without any mention of the complete shower rebuild I needed). It wasn’t hard to see that he knew his business, just from the detail in that contract.
We agreed on a starting day and time, and on that day, Matt came on time and ready to work. He was here every weekday as he said he would be and worked all day. He was considerate to me and to my family. No loud radio blasting, no swearing, no smoking, no big mess at the worksite. He covered the floors and furniture around the work area and also on the path leading to the work area. Every day. And every evening, he rolled up the coverings so we could use the non-​construction area without having to step over a construction mess.
I had to have the bathroom completely demolished down below the subfloor and out to the exterior walls. It was a big job for a bathroom — the plumbing all had to be ripped out, moved, and replaced. The floor had to be partially rebuilt, and tiled. The window need to be enlarged. The tub and old tile had to be ripped out and replaced with a custom tile shower and bench. The drywall & insulation needed to be replaced, as did the ceiling, lights, outlets, sink, toilet, and vanity. It was a big job for a tiny bathroom (5′ x 8′). Matt did it all. Beautifully. He finished on time and at the price stated in the contract.
I highly recommend DeMartini Construction. I have already signed a contract with them for my middle bathroom, and will have them do my kitchen remodel next year.
