My husband and I have been here several times, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service was always fast and friendly. The food is what you’d expect from a diner. It’s classic diner food, nothing more and nothing less. We like it! I enjoy their breakfast food, and love that it’s served all day and night for that breakfast for dinner craving. The Pancakes and omelettes are always delicious, as well as the sandwiches we’ve tried(mainly the Reuben my husband enjoys). Portions are generous and the price seems fair. I’m really glad we have this option around, for a quick, low key, and good diner option that doesn’t break the bank.

I don’t understand the mediocre reviews of this diner. A large group of us went here for lunch after our kids played a hockey game at the school and it blew many of the diners in Westchester away. The service was friendly, the food was terrific and the setting was what I remembered diners to be like when I was younger. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and we need a place like this is in Westchester!

Very typical diner food, burgers, fries, sandwiches and«blue plate diner» types of dishes. Canned vegetables, maybe mashed potatoes from a barrel? Menu needs updating, and the prices are really high for what you get. We used to take the kids there because you can get grilled cheese, chicken fingers and soup, etc and nothing really fancy. It’s nostalgic and quaint, but don’t expect a fantastic meal that doesn’t feel«industrial» — I’d say if you go there, go for breakfast — it’s hard to beat the standard diner breakfast. It’ll do in a pinch is maybe the best way to sum it up.

Excellent service. Traditional diner food in a traditional diner. Steak was done exactly as ordered… Medium well, and was still tender!

Standard diner, maybe a little above average. The diner is styled very old fashioned, even having jukeboxes at the end of the tables. I usually won’t order anything other than breakfast from a diner, but I really wasn’t in the mood for breakfast food. The breakfast food looked really good though. I ended up getting the chicken fingers and French fries, which was really good, better than I would have expected. Service was just okay, a little slow. The prices were what you would expect, aside from we also ordered a kids meal for two toddlers that were with us. The kids meal was like $ 8 bucks which I thought was pretty ridiculous for a kids meal.

brilliant. stopped in for coffee with Mom and we split a really delicious and surprisingly sophisticated breakfast sandwich made with 2 eggs, gruyère, and bacon on a croissant, about $ 7. Mom was sure she couldn’t eat half of it… until she tasted it, LOL, then I never got it back. WAITRESSWASSUPERB ! loved her explanation of the candy man sign made of horseshoes. loved the real phone booth still in place on the way to the restrooms !!! I miss phone booths! I also loved the owner’s description of Greece in the menu. coffee with unlimited refills was good diner coffee and woke me up as intended. taco salad going by to another table looked delicious. this place was just about perfect. good job ! hope I get to come back !

Small quaint local diner is always clean. Service is efficient. Food is average can’t complain but can’t rave about it either. I do like the chefs salad and grilled cheese. Clientele is a mix of locals tourists and the occasional celebrity.

Overpriced, average food. I just paid over 15 bucks for a not terribly big, not terribly fresh greek salad with chicken to go. Unfortunately this is probably my favorite greek salad anywhere around here, so they’ve got me. Can’t say much about the remainder of the food. The fries are good, the rest of what I have tried is uneventful. The staff are always nice and responsive.

Bleech. Overcooked omelette, greasy home fries, nasty turkey burger… hoping for just a little bit more from this classic looking spot but was sadly disappointed.

A few months back I went there for afternoon breakfast and I asked for with my ham and cheese omelette a Coca– Cola. The waiter I got gave me Pepsi instead. I was really upset because I asked him if they had coke and he said yes. I was so agitated that i was almost tempted to go to the manager to complain. I mean sure people make mistakes, but when they lie to you like that it’s not fun. The omelette was decent, but it was debatable if it was pre– made and frozen. If I go back there again and get that same nonsense again, I’ll just stop going. I only recommend this place if you need a hot breakfast. Burgers and what not taste like they were frozen

As much as I would love to say this place is great, it just isn’t :(I’ve been twice: the second time, I was hoping the first time was a fluke, but unfortunately both visits were mediocre. The service was pretty good, except that I received an omelet with fillings completely different from what I had ordered. The waffles weren’t crispy at all, and overall every savory dish we had was really lacking in seasonings. I hate leaving bad reviews but unfortunately this diner just wasn’t very good. Really cute from the outside, though!

not awful but not good. I ordered a burger and it tasted like they removed a frozen patty out of a box in the freezer.

Not impressed. Beyond the cool décor, this place doesn’t really have much going for it. I certainly don’t expect 5-star cuisine at a diner, but I do expect to be able to order a grilled cheese and have it turn out ok. As it was, my grilled cheese sandwich was soggy, and no amount of ketchup or salt could make the fries it came with taste better. The people I was with had breakfast food and said it was good, so maybe I just got the wrong thing, but honestly, how do you go wrong with grilled cheese? Needless to say, I doubt I’ll be coming back here.

Jeez, I wanted to love it. Truly. The décor is AWESOME, exactly what you want in a kitschy diner. The Christmas decorations in the windows were sublime. The food… yeah, not so much. I had Yankee Pot Roast. I knew better… and yet I just had to go there. It came in carved circles that were suspicious. Like from a can… do they make pot roast in a can? And the green beans had been cooked back in the 50’s and were the pale green color that screams«I have been cooked to bloody death!» There may have been mashed potatoes, but my subconscious mind has blocked the memory. I am grateful. One kid had the fried clam basket. I did not worry about her getting sick because these clams had been fried so much that no germ could have possibly survived. My son and husband had hamburgers and apparently they were cooked fine, as there were no complaints, a Christmas miracle. My glass of wine was a cab from Millbrook Vineyards… I am hoping it was an old bottle, stored badly, because it was swill. We didn’t ask for dessert, why push our luck? C’mon! Do better… this is a damn shame.

Millbrook Diner is a charming throwback to the diners of yesteryear; a gleaming metallic tube smack dab in the middle of the main drag, with cheerfully-painted Christmas and holiday cartoons happily glazing the windows. Nostalgia is instantaneous upon looking at it. This is definitely an «it is what it is» diner when it comes to the quality of the food served. I was not expecting thick-cut, wood-smoked bacon served with organic beefsteak tomatoes, organic romaine, and a chili-garlic-lemon-thyme aioli served on 384-grain ciabatta bread when I ordered my BLT. It was lettuce, tomato, bacon, and a smidgen of mayo served on toasted whole wheat bread. It filled me up, along with a side of delightfully greasy fries. I was full and content. I don’t go to diners expecting a five-star meal. I go to eat. I did. I was happy. I was charmed. I will come back.

Sorry to say our lunch here today was just plain awful. Our usual waitress was nowhere to be found first off and in her place were an older man and I think his son who were new faces to us. We asked if there had been a change in ownership but he said no. After eating half of it, I found a good-sized shard of wood in my veggie burger that was about the size of a burnt wooden match. They did swap it out for a new one but blamed it on the people who made the veggie burger off site as they do not make them in house. I don’t know about that… And my sweet potato fries were way overdone and tasted like well match sticks! My husband’s lunch of fish and chips consisted of three pieces of over-fried fish sticks with soggy underdone chips. They were not up to snuff with the Fish & Chips he has ordered in the past there. But the best move of the day was by the young waiter who brought us our check and said, «It’s 1927.» I had no idea what he meant. Then I figured out he mean $ 19.27. He seemed hesitant to put the check down or perhaps thought we would dine and dash, with our car parked right outside and in front of the other one or two parties dining there(!!!). It was rather ungraceful and frankly insulting. The vibe is decidedly different than our half a baker’s dozen times + we have been there. What a shame to have taken such a dive as it was my only 5 star diner too. :((( So to sum it up, my Dukedom is up for grabs. Knock your socks off. Speaking of matches… Thanks MR!

This is where I want to be when the bombs get dropped — sitting in a corner booth across from(my love) at the Millbrook Diner with a big plate of fries and ketchup. Every visit to this diner has been a good one. The place is clean, staff quick and friendly, and food quite memorable. I heartily recommend you check this place out. It has a cool Twilight Zone feel to it. Makes you want to forget your old life and move to Millbrook.
