When I started going to the deli in high school I didn’t eat meat, but I still enjoyed my trips here. I would order fresh mozzarella, tomato, and grilled veggies, with pesto or balsamic vinaigrette on a baguette, grilled. Just thinking about that sandwich is making me hungry. I used to make sure to pick one up on the way home from all my visits during college too. I’ve since come to my senses and taken up eating meat. While that sandwich holds a special spot in my heart I’ve explored a lot of their grillers and other combinations. The Gobbler is of course delicious. If it were for all the pie I eat on Thanksgiving, I would say it does Thanksgiving better than Thanksgiving itself. The mac’n’cheese and premade pasta salads are also good if you aren’t in a sandwich mood. My sister and mom love their sloppy joe. They now have seating next door which makes the experience a little less hectic. Definitely a must try, thinking about jumping on plane back home right now to get one. Has all the snow been cleared yet?

The Millburn Deli will make you an offer you can’t refuse with their vast array of sandwiches available. The Griller 8 and The Godfather are the most mouthwatering, amazing sandwiches ever. Take my word for it. You won’t be disappointed!

Out of desperation(The *good* deli, Mia Famiglia on Main St in Millburn was closed), I popped in here and grabbed 2 ready-to-go items and some iced tea. The roast beef joe was decent, but the«balsamic chicken wrap» was disgusting. What really gets the 1 star though, is that I was charged $ 32 for 2 sandwiches and a small bottle of iced tea. Hope the cashier or whomover thought the additional $ 10 I was charged was worth all my potential future business. I would rather starve than enter this«tourist trap» again.

Yep. This is my Jersey deli. Having grown up a stone’s throw from Manhattan, we had good food and culture in abundance. Millburn Deli is the epitome of what every great deli in the tri-state area should be. Great subs made with high-quality meats, cheeses, and produce. A half is enough for a meal although I generally get a full and save the other half. THAT good. Don’t even get me started on their Italian sub. To die for. Really decent baked goods like the eponymous black & white cookie, great brownies, etc. Bountiful beverage offering includes 3 – 4 brands of iced tea and every soda under the sun. Evian, Fujj & Smartwater present and accounted for. Millburn Deli is legit. Prepare to be looked at sideways if you’re not from the area.

This place is simply the best. Love the #8 griller, unsweetened iced tea and the chocolate chip cookies. Be prepared for the crowds — worth the wait.

I’m from Jersey City, so going to Millburn is a bit of a journey for me. That being said, there are 2 main reasons why I come to Millburn: South Mountain Reservation: the park & trail that’s conveniently located across the train station And … Millburn Deli. I lie to myself and say I go to Millburn for the hike but the during the whole trip, I’m thinking about the sandwiches I’m going to order from the deli. Honestly, the hike is just a precursor/warmup for my monstrous order. I know what you’re thinking. They’re just sandwiches. How good can they possibly be? I was wrong. We all are … Have I hyped it up enough yet? Anyway … you can’t go wrong with the Godfather or the Cuban sandwich if you have a hard time choosing from their big menu. I can’t wait to come back and try their much-advertised Gobbler — their ode to Thanksgiving sandwich. I do admit, its a bit pricy for sandwiches but the portions are generous and I know I sure as hell can’t make one this good at home so I think it’s more than worth it.

There is something comforting about having a sandwich in New Jersey. On my first visit to the quaint town of Millburn, I found a number of restaurants, but none had the crowds to rival the Millburn Deli. The large selection reminded me of an independent Booeymongers. This is a family-style deli with multiple workers where you take a ticket, and they treat you like family. I had the Italian cold cut with some banana peppers and a little Southern mayo. If only they had some of these in Manhattan instead of Chick-Fill-A I would be very happy. Maybe this type of deli is what defines the suburbs? I cannot wait to return here and try the BLT, and the sloppy joe! Jersey Baby!

The Millburn Deli is Amazing, just amazing, one of the best delis i ever went to. They have all kinds of different sandwiches, the meats are fresh and the prices are reasonable. The time it takes for you to get in and out is pretty fast although can get busy because of how good it is.

The parking is a pain but that doesn’t stop me and hundreds of other of people from going there. My favorite deli in my area. I would eat there every day if I could. The service is very fast and everything there is amazing. I have no complaints for this deli. My experiences here have never been disappointing.

This place doesn’t need my review but… this is the best deli I’ve ever been to hands down. The business gives me major anxiety but it’s all part of the experience. I can’t even recommend a sandwich because I recommend ALLOFTHEM.

Millburn Deli is the best part about coming home to Jersey for the day. You can’t go wrong with any sandwich. I usually like to avoid the Deli parking lot since it’s usually a zoo, but this past weekend it was surprisingly not bad for a Sunday afternoon. When you walk in you are immediately immersed in a land full of sandwich happiness. The ticket numbers are being called, sandwich makers are shouting out sandwich orders, and the crowds of people are quickly moving in and out. The wait for your ticket number to be called can be anywhere from next in line to a 20 person wait, depending on the day. But make sure you’re ready to order when your number is called, because no one likes to wait. The menu can be a bit intimidating for a first-timer, since there’s so much, but it’s best to just go with one of the classics.(The Godfadda, Number 8 griller, a Sloppy Joe) My go-to’s are the number 8 griller which is chicken, tomato, mozzarella, and pesto on focaccia or the fresh turkey reuben which is fresh turkey, swiss, russian, and coleslaw on grilled rye. However, anything you get here will be absolutely delicious. There is no one bad order. Your sandwich is ready within 5 minutes, and you can watch behind they counter as they make it, old school style. Once you pay, you can pop a squat at their outdoor seating area or their new indoor seating. I prefer the outdoor while it’s nice out so you can people watch all the customers running in and coming out with a satisfied look on their face, sandwich in hand. Deli will always be a classic, go-to spot that I’ll take any visitor from out of town. It screams Jersey and it screams delicious!

This place is deli heaven. Best sloppy joes I have ever had. They always have a ton of workers behind the counter so even when it’s busy, service is very good. My go-to is the honey turkey sloppy joe. Whenever I crave a sloppy joe sandwich, I think about the Millburn Deli. I wish they expanded and had another location in Hoboken or NYC. These are TRUE sloppy joe sandwiches.

Ordered dry godfadda and fresh turkey original Joe. The godfadda was the bomb. Original Joe was a bit too sloppy, but I guess that’s the point. Good price point as well.

What else is there to say about the Millburn deli that hasn’t already been said? It really is the best deli! Every sandwich I have tried has been delicious. My personal favorites are the soprano, turkey trot and the classic turkey joe. And their homemade ice tea is a must! It really is a place that you have to see and try for yourself to understand if you live somewhat near by(but it’s worth a trip too if you’re not so close!) My tip is though to try and go before the lunch rush because it gets so crowded and hectic inside. Also don’t even try to grab a parking spot in their lot, it’s a futile mission.

I stop in every now and then with my husband and have never had a bad experience. Once you walk in don’t let the large crowds scare you(the service is pretty fast). They have tomato choose from. Out favorites are the wild bull, gobbler, godfadda, turkey reuben… but really everything on the menu looks amazing! You have to try the iced tea! Perfect for a hot summer day!

Busy and popular! I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was filled with people. I like the amount of options, but was a little overwhelmed and rushed for my first time going. Most people seemed like regulars and so I stepped out of the way as I decided what I wanted. Definitely a good deli with the Jersey feel. There were set special sandwiches and then make your own options. The salad bar has a lot of toppings. At least 3 – 5 soup options. The indoor seating is a few doors down and there is plenty of outdoor seating.

I came here recently to meet up with friends who have been absolutely raving about the sandwiches for as long as I’ve been friends with them. I usually don’t like having eateries hyped up, just in case my experience doesn’t live up to the hype. But I have to say, I see why my friends love it so much! For a deli, the sandwiches are very tasty. I tried the«Gobbler», and the«God Faddah», both of which are popular choices here and very tasty and fresh! The Gobbler is like a thanksgiving sandwiches that had layers of different components(savory, sweet, etc.) that were just complimented very well with one another. Only small con is that it gets so crowded that there is barely any walking space(which, I suppose, reflects the popularity of the deli’s sandwiches). I was confused about the process of ordering my sandwich at first, because you grab a paper tab with a number on it, and only order when your number is called. It reminds me of an auction. BUT, there is a nice outdoor seating area and an area next door with indoor seating.

Probably the best sandwich from any deli I’ve ever visited. Even better than the one’s I favored in Manhattan. Everything is made to order, even slicing of the bread. Lot’s of folks behind the and at the register to quickly bring you the goodness. Every combination of sandwich you could think of and more. This is my go to deli and usually have the same thing, pastrami, swiss, L, T, on light rye. The art of a good sandwich is the bread to meat ratio. Too much meat, doesn’t taste like a sandwich. Might as well just order a steak. Too much bread and there’s no flavor. They do it perfectly all the time. BUT one day I decided to venture out and order something other than my usual. I got a pastrami Joe, a triple, layered sandwich with cole slaw, cheese and other toppings. Well, totally disappointed. I could barely see any meat and way too much slaw. It literally tasted like a cole slaw sandwich. I had already taken it home so it wasn’t worth going back. I’ll have to mention it to the owner. Everyone whom I’ve recommended to go has had a great experience. In fact, a friend of mine from Boston was in town and he had friend back home who was from Millburn. So he was going to order a sandwich, unassembled, to bring back to Boston. It is that good. They don’t have indoor seating, which I wish they had, only outdoor. Tant pis.
