We’ve had holiday business parties here for the past three years, nothing but a nice experience at the Miller Place Inn in MHO. Driving on 25a to get here is a quaint hometown experience. Miller Place is a quite town and pulling up to the inn all lit up for the holidays makes it very picturesque. And this place is huge! Don’t let it deceive you, there are multiple rooms for many different parties. Our group was able to bring in our own DJ. They have a nice large dance floor to get the crowd jumpin’ as well as a full service bar with top shelf liquor. I watch people on what they order and it makes me smile. When I see a guy my age ordering a rum and coke, I wanna smack him upside the head and say you need to take the Billy Salts class on how to be a guys guy. When I was at the beach in the Hamptons, yeah Rum and Coke(not really) when you’re over 30? May I introduce you to a good bourbon or perhaps Scotch? I was drinking Grey Goose Martinis because my car is a stick shift and my wife can’t drive if I had a few doubles. Anyhoo, Miller Place Inn! I thought the food choices were pretty good for our large party, chicken/pasta/steak and for dessert they had Italian cookies and not a big cake. I’m sure you can bring in a special cake, I think management is easy going enough to make it happen for your party. Consider the Miller Place Inn for your next affair!

My husband and I recently just had our wedding at the miller place inn. From beginning to end everything was so perfect. The staff at the miller place inn granted our every desire, everything was smooth and easy. Food was wonderful all of our guests raved about the venue and the menu. They had such an amazing night with drinks and dancing, enjoying every moment. My husband and I could not be happier we love the family who owns the Miller place inn and they treated us like we were apart of there family. Not once dod we feel forced, pressured or pulled. Very understanding and very respectful of the bride and groom. If you are looking to wow your guests with fantastic food, staff and overall wonderful experience, please do yourself the favor and have your wedding at this venue. It was on of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

Just had my wedding here last month, couldn’t be happier! The food was decadent, pricing was reasonable across the board, the staff was helpful, pleasant and a pleasure to work with. our DJ charlie was very entertaining. my only minor complaint is that the courtyard is right next to North country road, so noisy cars passed during our vows and I think a yapping dog could be heard just before I said«I do.» the same thing happened at my friends wedding there 2 yrs prior. Otherwise I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect«perfect day.»

The last time I was here was at my sister’s wedding nearly 21 yrs ago. As soon as we turned into the parking lot, I easily remembered it as if it were yesterday. We came here for a 50th wedding anniversary this time. The room was very nice and there were plenty of drinks, including non alcoholic to choose from. We were served salad, pasta and then you had a choice of beef, fish or chicken. The food was very good. It was a very nice night and even this room, which was not large, was very elegant.

This venue is stunning inside and out and the food is spectacular!!! Plus, the servers were very nice and accommodating! There was an array of mirrors covering the ceiling above the dance floor which made the space look bigger. I have no complaints and would recommend this venue for any party!

We had our wedding reception at the MPI last February when we renewed our vows. We opted for a buffet and couldn’t have been happier with the price we were given. The banquet manager(Christopher) really wanted to work with us. The place looked beautiful and our attendants were fabulous. Our set up consisted of 13 tables in the main reception room while the buffet was set up in the room where the cocktail hour took place. During the reception our guests were having a great time and we all danced the night away — I didn’t want the night to end. But it did :(and I soon came to find out from many of my guests that there was not enough food. Some of my guests who sat at the last table called went up to a buffet with empty trays and were told that there was no more food and others informed me that when they asked if more of a certain dish was going to be brought out, they were told no. I would also like to note that on the day of our wedding there was a tremendous amount of snow on Long Island and NYC, which resulted in 25 no-shows. I sent a letter to Christopher which went completely unacknowledged. I still don’t understand how there was not enough food for a buffet dinner especially when I had 25 people who did not show.

I attended my friend’s wedding here recently. This is a catering hall so events are held here for moderately large groups-my friend’s wedding was 15 tables of 10. This is quite the hideaway — pretty far into the island, however it was an easy find when driving. The exterior was rather lovely but not spectacular-their were benches and chairs outside. The inside didn’t blow me away-it had the usual décor of catering halls-high ceilings with the chandeliers and whatnot. The wedding I went to had open bar-bartenders were really nice and the cocktails were not watered down nor were they just thrown together. There were passed hor d’ervers but they went fast and they were really greasy. It also seemed like heated up frozen food(pizza/wraps). The Alexandria room where the reception was, was beautiful-mirror above the dance floor and the chairs were done nicely. Food was provided buffet style and there was a little bit of everything-asian stirfry(pissed off that it was called oriental stir fry), pasta station, meat at a carving station, breads, fruit display, chicken, beef, eggplant, baked clams – it was all decent-standard wedding far. The fortune cookies were really stale! :(But overall, I really enjoyed the wedding!
