My dad and I came in on a slow Sunday evening and it still took almost 20 minutes until a bartender came over. We’ve each had one beer and it took another 25 minutes for someone to come back. She then informed us that even if we wanted to order food, it would take almost an hour until the kitchen could have our food out. We paid for the beers and left.

Came in on a Sunday evening with the family, the restaurant was not crowded, we chose to sit in the bar area to enjoy watching the Pro Bowl while eating. After 15 minutes of no service, my wife went to the bar to ensure they knew we were a new table and was told they’d be right with us. After another 15 minutes of no drinks, no menus, no bread, no explanation, we got up and walked out. Will never go back, too much competition in the area. Went down the road to a local staple and enjoyed an awesome crabcake. Don’t stop here, it’s an obvious train wreck.

I love everything about Libations. The atmosphere is cozy and chic, especially love the leather couches and bar area, the patio outside with a fireplace is also very nice. The dining area is also spacious and comfortable. The food is absolutely delicious and i love getting the chicken tacos!(they kind of overload them and are a little messy but still delicious!) I used to work here and left for personal reasons(nothing due to the fault of the restaurant), and I have to say, the kitchen is immaculately clean, like I would literally eat off the floor. Cleanest kitchen I’ve ever worked in!

What a turn-around! Thought we’d give Libations another shot and really liked it this time. I had crab balls which were pretty good and the service was super-friendly. I didn’t order much, but have to say that I’m glad I gave it another try and will be back sometime. Ugh — but there’s still that horrible sign on the side. But alas, I guess it’s not going away. It’s easier putting up with the sign knowing that the restaurant isn’t half-bad! =)

Great food and service! Menu is extremely varied w a large wine list. I recommend it for meals and parties. Only negative: my adult daughter and I were greeted as «girls». Sorry, that’s sexist, and I corrected the male host.

The Old Bay wings are great. Big wings and cooked perfectly. The chef salad is perfect in that it is filling. Loved the sliced avocado on top. The Thai shrimp tacos are excellent. Service is great. Friendly and attentive staff. This place has a full service bar with a lounge kind of feeling. Thanks for reading my review. This review is based off my personal opinion and experience.

Oops I gave it too many stars… I’ve tried liking this place since it opened which is why I’ve waited over a year to post a review. There are so many things that are bad, I don’t know where to begin, so I’ll list the highlights first: Libations is less than three minutes from where I live and they offer an extensive craft beer list. Perspective — I’ve dined solo, with my wife, with my wife and kids and have hung out twice with the guys having beers and bar food. My one star review of Libations is the sum of 1⁄5 of one star for each visit for a total of 1 star… Atmosphere — bar area is ok, but feels like a poorly remodeled Courtyard by Marriott restaurant lobby bar. Food — inconsistent at best. Had one good meal of my 5 visits but was pricey and the service was poor. Other times(recently), I asked the bar tender how the pretzels where… she said they were great. Wow, they were terrible. Obviously frozen, tough, chewy and likely from a box that you can buy in the frozen food section of the grocery store. The bar tender took the $ 2.95 pretzel off the bill and never asked how things were when 5 guys(me and 4 buddies) weren’t eating the pretzel or the chips and salsa/queso dip. Service — underwhelming and one would expect more attentiveness for the prices paid. Price — really expensive for what you get and overall experience. One meal was nearly $ 100 with tax and tip for my wife and I to have sandwiches, one app, a kids meal, iced tea and diet coke. Best previous review I saw: feels like an IHOP with 4* prices. My fifth visit will be my last.

Dropped in for dinner on the patio and I must say, Libations exceeded our expectations. We had a bottle of Rioja(the wine and beer lists are extensive!) with an assorted charcuterie and cheese slate. Marinated artichokes were a nice addition to the starter. We followed that up with a rich and savory crab dip and then some Blue Point oysters. The food was fresh and full of flavor while the service was attentive but never pushy. The beau and I enjoyed everything thoroughly and plan on stopping in again for another date night soon!

Nice selection of well, libations. I had the lobster roll with fries. Loved the julienne fries but could have been crispier. The lobster roll was a special of the day and while tasty, should have be called Lobster Salad Roll. If you served that«Lobster Roll» in New England you would get a wicked beating.

This place is a favorite of my family’s so I have been here a few times. The atmosphere is really nice and inviting and I have enjoyed every meal I have gotten. I also enjoyed their fresh berry option for desert as a more healthy option for customers. I have not been here specifically for drinks so I can not attest to the selection or atmosphere during later hours although with the set up I would think it would be rather nice. Overall a good restaurant and we will be returning!

I guess this spot might be a good place for craft beers and bar food, but in terms of the several salads I seem to keep ordering from here, they are just not worth it. The lettuce is never fresh and you can tell it was chopped up days ago and left out to turn brown all around the edges. The Spa Salad, for example, is really lackluster for $ 18. The salmon is caked in chopped almonds and has zero seasoning. This is the last time I will spend my money here.

Visited Libations for the first time last night. The wife and I had a good time. This place caterers to a ‘higher class’ and offers beers you’ve never heard of. I’m a simple Miller Lite guy and they do stash a few of them somewhere but sitting down at the bar the pressure is definitely on to fit in and order one of the drafts.(I was really surprised though when my wife and I could only recognize three of the fifty or so bottles of liquor on display.) Fortunately to their credit the staff is well educated on the beverages offered. The crab dip was good coming with a large pretzel and chips. My burger and her taco were ok but neither came from the kitchen correctly. Atmosphere was good. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms clean(and not-for-nothing struck me as being huge for the size of the building.) Libations is not for me but it is a good place that I think will do well.

This place has a heck of a lot of potential but it is not impressing at the current time. Food and drinks are over priced big time. Won’t be going back until they change some things up… starting with prices and quality of food.

We went to Libations for Easter brunch. I was nervous based on previous reviews, it seemed hit or miss. But we had a GREAT experience. The place wasn’t even half full for our 1:00 reservation. We were seated quickly, and the high chair for my daughter was already set up. Server came over within 30 seconds and got my drink order. My parents arrived just after that, and my dad was having low blood sugar so I asked another server to get him an orange juice right away — she was very friendly and accommodating and quick. We were very appreciative. The menu was pretty large, with lots to choose from. I had the eggs Benedict, my mom had an omelette and my dad had the pancakes. Everything was great. The fruit served on the side was fresh and delicious. Amazing coffee. My mom had a mimosa but said it was ok, not great. The restaurant has really nice décor, it has high ceilings and an open feel. The bar has 4 huge leather couches which were very comfortable– I sat in there with my baby for a bit as she was fussing. Really liked the dishes– they were very pretty and made you feel at home. Service was friendly, prompt and accommodating. My mom ordered biscuits after our food has already arrived and our server brought them out quickly, but without butter and jelly, so she had to wait a but for that but wasn’t a big deal. Towards the end of the meal he offered dessert, coffee etc and we didn’t feel rushed. The other servers were friendly too, stopping by to say hi to my daughter. Overall we had a great brunch on a holiday at a nice restaurant with good food. We will definitely be back for dinner.

This is an email I sent to the management: Libations, First let me start with the positives. This Valentine’s day was mine, my wife’s, and mother in law’s second time we’ve been to Libations Tavern. The first time was for dinner. Our meals were delicious, the service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. Tonight we came to the bar area for a few drinks. The bar staff were fun, energetic, and friendly. Who I believe was the bar manager, Matt, I think was his name, was helpful and friendly. The drinks were made great and enjoyable. Now for the negative. Tonight, I had the misfortune to sit next to a customer that completely ruined my and another group’s evening. I do not hold Libations responsible for this customer’s hateful, rude, prejudicial, and disgusting behavior, however the way it was handled does not represent your establishment in a positive way. A customer was verbally attacking another set of customers with hateful words like«fagot» repeatedly, accusing another woman of being a man, and telling another woman to take off her wig. At least one bartender tried to mediate and resolve the issues by calming the issues, but the disruptive customer then demanded to see the manager. At this point, every employee we’ve seen had made the best effort to be accommodating and concerned. One bartender ensured the manager was brought out to speak to the customer vice just providing a card with contact information. When the manager came out he started to address the situation. I quickly interjected that I felt the conversation should be taken outside. I did this because the behavior in which the customer exhibited was the most hateful and disgusting behavior I’ve seen in quite some time and biting my to tongue was no longer an option. The customer and manager went outside to discuss issues, but not before the customer invaded another customers personal space and spit in his face and again called him a «fagot.» This would of ended the evening if this was its conclusion, but instead I was completely appalled when the manager returned and informed the group on the receiving end of a customer uncalled for and hateful behavior had to leave even though myself a bystander, and the bar staff clearly identified an antagonist and a victim. Your management represented your establishment as a place without conviction for respect of people, equality, or courtesy.

We just moved to the area. We live very close to this restaurant. We are empty nesters so we like to visit different restaurants every weekend. Ambience is okay., food was not too bad., however I think price is little high for being just local place. I paid., close to 100 bucks with tips two dinner and beer samples. I think this place is good if you want to just go there for a beer at the bar and watch football.

I enjoy this place. The selection for their drinks is great and their food was better than I anticipated. The service can be lacking sometimes, but we’ve had one waiter that is always great! The food can come out slow and limited selection on the food. Either way, I enjoy coming for a weeknight or weekend dinner with my family. Get a few nice flights of alcohol and get a couple different appetizers. I know they just opened and I have high hopes that the service will get better :)

My husband & I live a mile away and we really had high hopes for this restaurant. We’ve visited 4 times since they have opened but after our last visit, I dont think we’ll be back. Its a shame because the food is really good — our favorite is the fish tacos — delicious! Our guilty pleasure was also the tator tots with crab dip. The downfall is the service, seems like they have a lot of people there but the responsibilities are not evenly spread. On our last visit, the hostess was going to follow us to our table in the bar area to bring us menus but must have forgot and we had to run back and get them ourselves. The bartender was our waitress but she was overwhelmed with other responsbilitilies so a manager ended up taking our order right before we were about to walk out the door to go somewhere else. the other downfall is the prices. For the area, they need to come down a bit to be successful.

A solid but not overly spectacular addition to the Severna Park — Millersville dining scene. Not that there’s much competition in the immediate vicinity, although down the road you’ll find the crowded field of choices in Crofton. «Crowded» is not a word I’d use to describe Libations, especially for lunch. We’ve been there thrice now in the early afternoon, and while we’re never alone in the place, there’s plenty of seating. So what’s attractive here? Why four, not three stars? First, they have an excellent beer selection, with plenty of changing taps and a good bottle selection. Second, the food is good. Not five-star good, but good. We’ve tried everything from the salads to the sandwiches to the burgers to shrimp to the fish and chips. It’s all been good. But there’s nothing I’d put as a stand-out, go-to item. Third, it’s easy in, easy out. The kitchen has been quick and the servers good. Oh yes — they have a nice patio area, which is unfortunately overlooking a busy road. There appears to be quite a dinner /night scene here from what the sign outside says, but we’ve never been here — so I can’t comment.
